A visit was arranged to my property, they couldn't confirm a time but said they would call an hour before the visit. After waiting in all day, there was no call/visit and there customer service line simply exits to take your details and pass then on (which has now been done on more than one occasion).

Not capable of fulfilling the advertised services.

Mark visited our store today, ever since Mark has attended our store we’ve had no issues. Mark is very approachable and friendly. If any issues were to arise, Mark would be your guy! Brilliant service.

Faultless service

Faultless service. They responded to my advert looking for someone to dismantle and carry away my old storm-damaged garden shed. They came out on a Sunday to give me the quote and had the job done by Tuesday lunchtime. I have asked them for a quote to do some further work.

Vergo have been attending our store for many years and they have always been very helpful and polite , today I had the pleasure of meeting Tracy , who did an incredibly thorough job and communicated the issues we had very well , aswell as explaining next steps etc , extremely professional.

Unreliable, poor communication, questionable quality of service.

The exterminators didn't arrive when they say they would. Wasted three days with no pest controller. Then arrived on a day with no prior knowledge.
Complaints manager was meant to phone to deal with issue and never did. The rat issue got worse and now in our house.
First pest controller did not assess the property properly. Communication from firm non existent

Vergo visits Mark comes to our store as part of a…

The vergo company always respond to call outs very quiçkly.. Mark comes to our store as part of a company wide routine visit every couple of months, unless we request a call out. He is very helpful, listens to our issues without interruptions, gives advice on the best method of action, follow up visits are always carried out giving a full breakdown of what was done/needs doing, he is discreet, professional, friendly and helpful and a credit to the vergo company.

Rat Intruder.

We had a problem for a few weeks with what we thought was a mouse. After no luck with our own traps we decided to use our home emergency cover who appointed Vergo to come out to us. Mark from Vergo was so thorough and very quickly identified it wasn't a mouse issue but a rat problem.Even though after his first we still had the problem, following his second visit the problem was resolved. Mark could have walked away but he did all he could to safeguard the property from any future rat problems. I can't recommend Vergo, and in particular Mark highly enough.

Excellent Service from Mark Donaghy who deserves two or three separate reviews just to cover the amount of good review word allowance that l could generate for him!!

Just to point out that Mark Donaghy the Pest Control Technician hugely goes above and beyond his duty compared to any other Pest Control Technician you might have come across with a consistent problem that you've had.

If you are still
trying to find a half decent Pest Control Technician then look no further as he is the real deal.
He would first of all listen to your story (without interrupting you like other self gratuitous Pest control technicians) to find out the history of your Pest problems so as to deal with it correctly FIRST TIME!!! and not onthr the third or fourth time after you've already spent a £1000 as what usually happens because otherPest Control Technicians haven't listened to you properly.
Mark is very conscientious and takes great pride in having a VERY open mind about your pest problems and tries to problem solve every single minute detail that he is faced with or otherwise he's not happy!

We had a rat Infestation in the attic where we are semi-detached and the rats were coming in from the sewer.

He was very open minded and took it upon himself to take onboard our anxious and frustrating time with our lack of sleep and embarrassment of not being able to tackle something that the past Pest Control Technicians couldn't solve and we'd spent a lot of money on it by then!
He thinks differently and is not out ti fleece you for money as all he wants is to find out HOW THE RATS ARE GETTING INTO YOUR HOUSE!!!....Simple!!!!
You try and find a Pest Control Technician who has that mindset and they just don't exist!!
Good Luck to Mark as he's very busy and popular and obviously you'll do well to get him to your house to start with, but you should thank your lucky stars when you do get him!

Ridiculous Health and Safety Protocols

I personally wouldn't recommend this company. I had three visits from them via my home emergency insurance cover with Hastings. The first guy Tim, gave me the creeps. I was working from home that day and he kept asking me questions about my job. He was also scared of my friendly cockapoo so I had to lock her in a room while he asked me uneccesary questions that were not related to the reason he was in my home. He clearly disliked having to work for a living and wished he could work less hours and claim universal credit instead. I felt extremely uncomfortable around him.

He refused to go in my loft because it was only partly boarded and had clutter in it. I mean, what loft doesn't have stuff stored in it? The problem was up in the loft and it was impossible for me to arrange for it to be fully boarded so that he would enter the space. I have been up there many times and never had any issues with it not being fully boarded. He wouldn't even pull down the custom made fitted loft hatch and ladders due to health and safety. I had never had a workman refuse to this before. I thought it was ridiculous but I was happy to do it for him on this occasion.

He put traps down around the loft hatch opening which was completely pointless. I asked him if he would put some poison down instead but he said he didn't have any. Two weeks later I had a second visit and I asked for them to bring poison or it was pointless them coming. My neighbour had already been up there and seen that the pests had gone nowhere near the traps.

On the second visit my Mum was home as I had to go into work. They made a tiny 73 year old woman open the hatch and pull down the ladders due to health and safety again. This happened on the third visit too. I was appalled to find this out at a later date. Anyway, they put poison down but by the hatch again which made no difference as the pests avoided that area. The third visit was also pointless as they weren't prepared to go in and explore the loft space. So I called them prior to the visit and I told them to take away their useless traps and poison.

I will never use this company after finding out what they made my elderly Mum do. So what do they do if they have to enter the loft of someone who is immobile? Most wasp nests are in the loft, so what do they do if the loft isn't boarded? Due the nature of the job I believe this is a ridiculous policy.

In the end I paid for an independent local company to come out. They actually investigated properly and placed bait boxes in the garden and put poison in the wall cavity. They also entered the loft serveral times and located where the pests were entering. They came out three times and actually resolved my problem. Money well spent!

Please don't waste you're money on Vergo. Customer services were lovely but sadly they did not solve my issue. Luckily I didn't have to pay them. As you know most home insurance companies use the cheapest contractors and that often means that your issue will never be resolved. This was the case for me and I felt it necessary to post this genuinely honest review.

Terrible service

Terrible service. the first operative turned up to set rat traps but we still had a problem with rats. He didnt put bait in the traps. Another operative came a few weeks before xmas and we found where the rats were nesting and he said he'd be back the following tuesday to put poison down the nests but he never turned up, phoned to complain and was told he'd be there on thursday but guess what? he still never turned up and this is a care home infested with rats and we have a contract with these so called experts of pest control.

Chris is fantastic…

We have had absolutely tremendous service from our Vergo guy, Chris Matthews. He is incredibly knowledgeable and, I believe, the reason why we no longer have an issue with pests. I would wholeheartedly recommend Chris without question.

I had a problem with a rat in my kitchen, Elliot from Vergo came out and was amazing ! He found the source for me and filled in all the holes under the kitchen units where the rat was getting I . He went beyond to help me as I was very nervous and scared. He was a very polite and understanding young man.he was polite and well mannered and answered all my questions , nothing was a problem for him. The company should be very proud of him, makes you feel ease and does the job thoroughly , he came out when he was supposed to. I am very grateful to him for the great job he has done. I would highly recommend him as a tradesman, was very competent and knows exactly what he is doing.can’t praise him enough for making me feel safe in my own home. ThAnk you

The Rodent Officer does not turn up

The Rodent Officer does not turn up. I get no notification - he just does not come till I waste so much time complaining by phone to MANY Vergo staff from Gloucester to Scotland. Each says they will deal with this & let me know when someone is coming but nobody does, with the exception of one lady who did phone me & tell me he was coming next day, but needless to say nobody did turn up. I have had to take 4 days off work, meaning I have now lost my wages for those days when nobody came so I wasted the days off that I especially took to suit Vergo. It is inexcusable that they do not do what they say & phone me back to inform me what, if or when anyone is coming. They are a total loss of a company, very badly run, and certainly do not care about their customers. Do not understand Customer Care nor Service. DO NOT BOOK THEM. THEY ARE A DISASTER & will let you down.

Cancelled my contract AFTER we had paid…

Cancelled my contract AFTER we had paid for a year and with no notice so paying for something that not getting.

Contacted customer services by phone but nobody has a phone number for the accounts team hence you have to email them.

Emailed them as only way to get in contact and nearly a week later and no reply. I wonder if anyone reviews these reviews to able to take any action?

AVOID would be my take. Google reviews are awful as well.
