I am happy with the assistance provided by verify online , truly appreciated, Allen helped me out with my verification at every step and guided me well.

The website experience is awful for uploading an ID and one document. I uploaded my passport and a bank statement and the coding of the website is awful. Most of the pop ups shown didn't display properly, I was able to progress through by editting in the inspection console but clearly zero attention is made to the UX of this product. Furthermore, this was the 'online' version of verifying my document - which costed £11 which they took upfront. If I had given up and did the free manual version I can't imagine how awful the process would have been to get a refund. It's outrageous that this website is essentially the only recommended service for a DBS check.

EDIT: VerifyOnline responded to a complaint I made directly with them and refunded me the cost which was appreciated. I do still need to use the service to get my check completed and it is quite painful.

I’m IT savvy and use computers every day for many different tasks. However, I realised this was probably going to a tricky process. I quickly ran into difficulty when the automated site didn’t send me an email to confirm my identity, after I made my payment. I was pretty worried because I needed the identity certificate quickly.
I contacted customer support by email and I quickly received a reply from Allen, who sorted out my issue in a single reply. He helped me through the process with simple instructions that anyone could understand. I’m pleased with the speed everything happened and that there was someone with good comprehension skills there to help me.

My email queries were always acknowledged and responded to promptly. Allen from the customer support team was very helpful and professional when emailing me and always took time to explain fully what was needed and what actions were required. As I am not very technology minded I did need assistance and Allen provided the support and help I needed in a considerate andporfessional manner.

They sent me someone else’s identity verification certificate then ignored my emails to them about this matter. I had to chase them. When I eventually received a reply, it was inappropriately informal: ‘cheers’. Incompetent & unprofessional.

I was forced to use this service in order to verify documents for a DBS with clearcheck. After completing the very complicated process with BOTH companies, charged extortionate prices due to not having the option of updating details. I eventually found a means of contacting this company AFTER the pdf verifying my documents was rejected. Allen, then sent me details to verify a different way which was accepted.. this cost me an extra £15.00 to " fast track" which was supposedly an " option"... unless you fast track & pay, you CAN NOT upload anything to clearcheck. These companies are linked although are apparently separate.
I am now over £100 pounds in for a basic DBS which should initially be much less & even cheaper to update.
To say I am unhappy is an understatement & I've actually been very polite with this review.
You should be ashamed of yourselves.. last year when applying, although it was a hassle... I was then billed a monthly subscription for services.. This took ages to resolve.

I had some issues about verifying my documents. So the support assistant Allen was so fast and helpful with that. Managed to do that in the very fast way and was fixed problem in the minute. So very thank you for the help I had.

Unclear and unethical. I'm writing on behalf of my mother, who thanks to your unclear instructions and what appears to be unethical practices, has been charged FOUR times for a DBS check service. You claim to have a Customer Service Mon-Fri, but I had to delve into your Privacy Policy to find the contact number, only to ring and find the service is unavailable due to COVID - ridiculous. I am about to email you, let's see if you reply. Really poor practice.

In a complicated process I had great help from Allen at Verify. When issues emerge there’s no substitute for speaking to someone who can resolve the issues.
