Pool dome disaster
I bought a pool dome round to cover my spa. This tent is not in the shape of a dome. It is just bits of plastic that only take a dome shape if it is pegged very firmly into the ground. In soft ground this is impossible. Nothing states this on the description. It is falsely advertised and not fit for purpose. Not only that but after only 3 weeks in the weather, the metal hinge is already breaking down. Vidaxl refused to refund any money. Don't trust this item or vidaxl

Terrible refund policy and customer service
$73 Product + $10 shipping arrived in a timely manner, however, product was much cheaper and flimsier than advertised, therefore I wanted to return it. VidaXL wanted to charge me a $20 restocking fee plus $15 Aus Post shipping fee, for a total cost of $35 to return a $70 item that was of no use to me. Then VidaXL offered me a $17 refund which I wrote to them and said was ridiculous so then they came back with a $21 refund. Never buying a VidaXL product again. Not worth it if you need to return it. Zero stars.
Edit: VidaXL wrote a response to my review, saying that this was resolved, however this was their $21 refund offer. What a ripoff!!! I’m still never buying anything from them ever again.

Poor quality & vague instructions.
Bought a shelf from Vidaxl
Installing was painful it was laughably vague and the instructions were poor.
Once the shelf was installed it sagged tremendously and I was forced to diy fix it.

Online Customer care service is not helpful and time consuming to accept the feedback. They should accept both feedbacks whether it is negative or positive. Negative feedback is an opportunity to improve their product and service. I found phone customer service representative is helpful and knowledgeable to understand the feedback. As I informed earlier, the instructions to assemble the product needs to be reviewed and revised so the anyone can assemble it.

I wish I had never bought these shelves I bought two lots because they looked good. It's the worst thing I could have ever done. I've unpacked them and they are very very heavy which is fine. If all the bits and pieces that they give you were fitting none of it fits none of this crews none of the metal plates that come with it are any good I had to reinvent the whole shelving system with all different brackets and everything to be able to hold the two pieces in the middle together. They say on the advert that it's recycled materials and be aware some of it might not be the same colouring or the same they don't have anything the same the shelves that fit together have very thin size or very thick sites the brackets the actual supports the outside are also very badly made I would give it zero stars I'm so bummed out that I had to spend probably eight hours minimum on putting their shelves together it was the worst thing ever I can't believe that they can actually allow anyone to sell this for even $10 let alone 600 dollars

Poor customer support/product backup
Contacted them to request an owner's manual for a product that I have. They will not email me a copy "unless I place an order". I am not going to order a duplicate item just so that they will send me a copy of the manual.
It was for the water jet animal repeller, but their Artificial Lack-Of-Intelligence was unable to comprehend the fact that it was a gift, and I do not have the order number. Most proper companies have an archive where owners' manuals and technical info can be downloaded without having to answer all sorts of questions.

Disheartened is an understatement - this is THE THINNEST sheet of metal I think I have ever witnessed. Flimsy and it even warps as you are trying to handle it. Nuts provided don't fit through the metal holes so I can't even get them assembled. Expensive mistake is an understatement, I wish I had only bought one as a trial

Choose wisely, flat pack, from Vietnam. Hobiest work bench
Not really a hard wood, more like malaysian banana wood. should have know better when I found it on Temu, another giver away to its quality was arriving as a flat pack weighing just 25kg, pictorial instruction with no propper identification of screws. No next day delivery as advertised for brisbane, 4 days from Victoria. I'll end up using it as a template and use the clamp hardware(about the only useful part). I suppose buyer be ware and you get what you pay for. Made in Vietnam.

Material and delivery time was good but instructions was a disaster and there was not a single piece have the letter on it as it was shown in the instructions book so had to spend 4 hours to just find which piece is which and mark them personally

Purchased a 6m x 3m galvanised chicken…
Purchased a 6m x 3m galvanised chicken coop which besides being easy to assemble, needed a complete overhaul. The wire aperture does not protect chickens from snakes, so have had to purchase new wire from hardware shop. A costly addition. There is also a huge gap on the latch and top side of the door which a goanna can get through, or even a cunning hawk. The tarp covering is of very poor quality. I do not recommend this product if living in rural Australia.
Review update. Customer service reached out and issued a partial refund, much appreciated.

Great value for Money totally acceptable quality. Probably not for the novice.
I was sceptical having read the reviews; however, they had 3 pieces of furniture that fitted my requirements exactly. I ordered one piece first, just in case & look it wasn’t perfect; however, the customer service was quick & acceptable, therefore I ordered the other two pieces. Again, not perfect, however, great customer service again. If you have NO experience of assembling flatpack furniture, then I would proceed with caution, however, if you know what you’re in for then the product is totally acceptable at the price point & the customer service spot on! Would I recommend? Based on this experience DEFINITELY!

I have made a purchase over a month ago and it has not come. I have asked for a refund and that has not come. I do not recommend this site at all. Your product will never get delivered. They say one to 2 business days. Oh my god, it’s been a month stay away from this site. It’s not trustworthy.

Can't trust their products
I bought a corten steel planter box from vidaXL. It was advertised as "exceptionally durable" but it did not even last two years before it rusted through.
For a $162 purchase they offered a $25 refund. Customer service reads like AI triage with template responses.
Can't trust this business or their products.

Update: They reached out after this review but refused to reimburse my out-of-pocket costs - installation, soil, removal and disposal.
Their position seems to be: lowball an offer and call it "goodwill", blame the customer ("you only notified us after the product had already fully deteriorated"), hope the customer gives up and goes away.
Nothing left to do but go to VCAT.

Impossible to build
Ordered a book shelf and it's impossible to build. The flatpack came with no labelling on any of the individual pieces, and the manual is so complex it's extremely difficult to put together. I'm halfway through and I can't complete it. Holes don't line up, the instructions are unclear... totally awful.

Purchased this item on 18 May 2026 through Big W Marketplace. I should start by saying that we have had experience with flatpack items, so felt confident that we could construct this aviary. The book of instructions is abysmal, and very hard to follow. It is worse than useless, so we are now using the pieces to make our own design. The metal pieces used to form the frame have various holes in them, but pieces with the same code number are different. The instructions give no direction about where each piece should be used, for example, the pieces with small holes should face the outside so self-drilling screws can be used, but this is not made clear. Therefore, the frame has to be deconstructed to rotate pieces. Very time consuming and frustrating.
We found that joiners were missing, and it took several days to contact the correct person for assistance. VidaXL, whom we contacted first, was no help at all. In addition, a number of the metal sheets are too small for the gaps they are supposed to cover, either too short or too narrow. Some of these are missing too. We have had to purchase some extra pieces from a local hardware store to replace the missing ones, and still need to buy some more. We have spent numerous hours trying to put the aviary together, and it is still incomplete, as we wait for joiners to be sent to us. We would not recommend this product, as we are very dissatisfied with the customer service from VidaXL and with the product itself.
3 June 2026 we have had a response about this review. Following is my response:
Thank you for your response. However, you have not addressed the main points of my review: the awful instruction book, the pieces that do not fit the places they are supposed to go, the fact that we can't construct the aviary as it should be, and that we have to construct it as we are able with the pieces we have, among other things. We would return it, except that it is not in "as new" condition.
The missing parts are only part of the problem we have with VidaXL, and we need all aspects of our concerns to be addressed.
