Never got the software i paid for, nightmare to get account removed.
I bought the maker subscription license as i need a cad software for my hobby projects/relaxation timr and heard solidworks was much better than the software i was currently using and was being limited by.
After paying, i got thrown into one of the messiest websites i have ever seen, outdated information/guides and no sign of the download of the purchased software. Finally found install files for the 3d experience launcher (which was not what i purchased, but apparently needed). Installed it and realized it replaced localhost with their own servers in the windows hosts file (that is pretty much malware behaviour and will mess up any application using localhost, i’ve been working as a developer for 20+ years. This is a workaround you expect from some Janky old freeware, not a market leading system with this price tag), and the ”open” menu on the systray icon did nothing at all.
I decided i don’t want this junk on my computer at all, uninstalled and decided to just pay this month and forget about it. So i logged in to delete my account. Which you can’t even do, neither could i access my subscriptions to cancel it. I emailed the support with no reply, i went to a live chat where i got the answer that the ”correct team” will contact me, which they did not, after i sent a second email after yet another failed chat attemp i told them to delete my account immediately or i will file a GDPR violation. That did the trick. I only payed 10 euros, but all i got was wasting hours trying to get my account deleted and making sure the 3d experience launcher didn’t have any other ugly hacks potentially messing up my computer. This company is probably the worst customer ecperience i have ever had.i don’t even care about the money lost as long as i never, ever have anything to do with them again.
If it had just been the disaster that is the web site and impossible to find download links. But not allowing you to delete your own account and requiring you to contact support multiple times (which by the way is impossible to reach at the provided phone number) is some next level scumbag behaviour.
I’m not sure if this is the new buisness plan. Charging small users, not provide the purchased software and just make it so difficult to stop paying for it that people will just give up and keep paying the 10 euros/month…
Stay away from this company at all costs.

Ein Stern ist noch viel zu viel. Ich kann mit absoluter Sicherheit sagen dass diese Firma keinen Kundenservice hat und schon Richtung bewusster Masche wandert. Kurz vor Weihnachten habe ich mir eine Solidworks Makerlizenz gekauft. Leider stand nirgends dass damit ein Onlinezwang herrscht und somit ohne Internet nicht zu verwenden. Meine Versuche Kontakt aufzunehmen und vom Vertrag zurück zu treten werden gekonnt Ignoriert. Wenn man mal jemanden erreicht ist er nicht Zuständig.
Das beste ist aber dass sich die Lizenz immer automatisch Verlängert. Aber ich keine Chance zur Kündigung habe. Leider bleibt als letzter Ausweg nurmehr der gang zum Anwalt.
Traurige Firmenpolitik. Schämt euch.

I bought the Solidworks cloud licence and they do not send the key to the right email address.
I have opened two accounts and each time they automatically changed a letter in the email address on the form. And of course, the customer service don't respond or is unreachable. To be avoided.

Pros:
-You have solidworks
-Your files are stored in the cloud
Cons:
-You NEED to be connected to internet to even use solidworks
-You can't rollback to previous version of solidworks
-Solidworks crashes half of the time when you try to save a file
-You need to be a network administrator to even understand how their file management system work
- You have now 3 3dexperience softwares continiuously running in the background
- sometimes solidworks just don't connect or disconnect itself ftom the database so you can't save or open your files.
-The software still cost 6000€ plus 2000€/years and if you stop paying you can't access the database anymore so you loose all your files and can't even use the software anymore too
Still wondering where the IMPROVEMENT is over solidworks classic is and hope some day dassault will actually listen to his custommers
