Paula who dealt with my enquiry was excellent. Professional, friendly and a delight to speak to. She was a credit to the company.

I contacted Avanti and spoke to Jayne regarding a query I had with the set up of my telemetry service. Jayne wasn't able to confirm that the service was functioning properly on the initial phone call but she said she would investigate with the relevant in house team and get back to me. Sure enough she called me within 24 hours to confirm that the service was now fully implemented and that I would no longer have to submit meter readings. I have now had an email from Jayne confirming our telephone discussion. Very good service which has moved me to write this review as it's so different from the usual call center experience where you often don't get promised call backs and frequently don't get the same person following through with an enquiry until it is properly resolved. Good work Jayne/Avanti and a breath of fresh air after my previous supplier. Please don't let your standards slip!

Rob from St Austell delivered my gas yesterday and I was really pleased with the service. He was friendly, polite and very helpful as answered lots of my questions and even spoke to my gas boiler engineer for me about the pressure in the tank. Very impressed.

Jayne Knights, the customer service lady, ordered me new gas with efficiency and friendliness and the entire transaction was seamless.

I do wish Avanti still serviced LPG tanks nevertheless!

I was very anxious about having my underground LPG tank replaced but everything went really well. Ami in the office was very good at taking me through the procedure step by step and Joel on site made the whole experience very easy and straightforward. Both were very helpful and professional as have all the Avanti staff been that I have dealt with.

I was having a lot of problems using the website and was unable to order any LPG so I phoned the customer helpline. Problems persisted with my order and I ended up speaking to three different ladies. All of them were extremely polite and helpful and managed to resolve the problems by taking a telephone booking and bypassing the automated payment system. They gave me timely information in a helpful way. I was extremely pleased with their service. (But not so much with Avanti’s website!)

Great customer service from Paula, easy to contact customer services and an quick reply to my query.

Following an increase I wanted up to date information on my gas price and it wasn’t available on my online account portal. I did have to wait a few minutes to be connected but once through to the customer service assistant, Paula, my question was quickly answered and she checked that I was happy and had no further queries.

Jayne sorted out my query quickly and professionally, and I was very impressed with the service and her friendly manner.

At last....some seven months after my contract finished, they've finally collected their 38 year old tank.

As ever, the personnel in the field were pleasant and efficient. However, the same cannot be said for the majority of the administrative staff - dismissive, high handed and intimidating come to mind.

I told Avanti I would no longer purchase gas from them due to their blatant price gouging and then ran our gas supply down until the boiler would no longer fire. Heating engineers then came in and isolated the gas boiler and supply, vented the system and removed the boiler. We then installed an oil boiler, which has been significantly cheaper to run the lpg!

The lpg tank sat at the bottom of the garden, empty and vented for months. When the contract ran out in Dec 2025 , I asked what their intentions were regarding the tank...of course I was immediately informed that charges would apply for its recovery, and they quoted a price. It struck me that this price was significantly more than I remembered from earlier contracts, and indeed, it was more than double my original contract. I was immediately directed to their website and indeed this was the price stated, however, when I pointed out that in their terms and conditions they, 'reserve the right to increase prices for goods and services annually in line with the retail price index', it all went quiet.

I expect they'll try and stick us with a silly cost to recover the tank, at which point they will discover Trading Standards, possibly fame through Rip-Off Britain and maybe some land rent and the cost of the massive agricultural tele-handler which lifted the tank out of our property and located it to a position where it was easily recoverable....

Sadly, this company shows all the tendencies of a company operating in an unregulated market, where they feel they can treat elderly people any way they like, assuming that they will be unable to resist or respond.

I have been using Avanti for years to supply me with bulk LPG. In 2025, I wrote a nice review here about the delivery driver but said that I would not be renewing because of the pricing. Avanti wrote on this blog that they would review at the time of renewal.

Well, my contract has just expired, and I got given a price that was astronomical. So much for loyalty and appreciation of good reviews. I checked around and got a quote from a competitor that was 15 p a litre cheaper than Avanti's 'special favour' rate. How on earth can Avanti justify charging a long-term customer 15 p a litre more than what a competitor does? People are facing fuel poverty, struggling to pay the bills and they are shamelessly profiteering. Maximising their profits at the expense of consumers.

I am disgusted and furious. This is the first step of my fight against Avanti's profiteering, I will go next to the regulator with this.
