Wrong chair sent

I ordered a chair .it was delivered without any notification ,it was the wrong chair ,failing to meet the specifications in the advert,i am in discusion with customer services but as of yet no resolution ,just keep asking for photo evidence ,this has been sent twice , watch this space i suppose ,mistakes do happen but how they are dealt with is what matters, i will update accordingly .

Brenton you did not offer to replace the chair with one correctly manufactured to the size advertised , is this because they do not exist ,and you do sell both the size i got and the larger one you have advertised for two different prices,i can only conclude that either the description is wrong or you are falsely advertising the size and then claiming manufacturing error if there is a complaint ,i do require a refund and would appreciate if this could be done as soon as possible along with collection of the chair you sent ,please stop offering me money off instead as i have stated i want to return for a full refund ,you started at a £30 offer increased to a £40 offer and now £60 , i am extremely disappointed that you took payment for something you cannot supply and feel that had you had chairs meeting the description advertised you would of offered a replacement
Latest and final update
After much discusion we have agreed a discount on the chair and my husband will use it as its not suitable for me ,
The company do stress they put the dimensions given by the manufacturer in good faith and have tried there best to resolve this issue for me they were willing to collect and refund as well as offer a discount ,so rest assured if you do have issues this company will do their utmost to resolve them.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I’m so sorry for the frustration this situation has caused — we sincerely apologise for the inconvenience and truly appreciate your patience while we work through it.

My manager has just reached out to you directly, and after reviewing everything, it appears the correct chair was sent, though there may be a slight manufacturing production variance of around 3cm in width.

With regards to the delivery arriving without notice, I completely understand how frustrating that must have been. As a small team, we rely on third-party couriers to fulfil deliveries across the UK. Some couriers do send text updates, while others require customers to manually track the progress. In your case, tracking was updated on 30/05/25 at 08:03 AM when the item was scanned onto the delivery vehicle in Swansea.

We’re very relieved you were home to receive it. Please rest assured that in the rare case of a lost, damaged, or mis-delivered parcel, your order is automatically covered by insurance for your protection.

Above all, I want to assure you that my manager will personally see this through to your complete satisfaction. We’re here to make things right and appreciate the chance to do so.

Brought 2 of the cat trees with the attached rope and ball on a spring which is optional to use,brilliant cat trees and substantial posts cat bed part removable for washing and you could use the top part as just a podium if you wanted to,my cats are over 7kgs and it's ideal size for them, would use this company again fast delivery with evri

Fantastic Customer service

I recently ordered a greenhouse, a plastic one with shelves. A couple of the shelves wasn’t wide enough for it. I emailed a lady called Katherine D and she has been fantastic in helping me sort it out. I emailed her numerous times replying to her and she always got back to me the next day. She is a credit to this company, so helpful and great to speak to the same person when you have a problem. Thank you so much for the discount, really appreciate it. We managed to fix the shelf on.

Bought new, received used and broken.

I recently placed an order for 3-Tier Storage Shelves, Metal Shelving Unit from Direct Home Furniture.

The package arrived looking re-sealed.

When opened, the item was badly damaged.

The shelving was dirty, cracked and very badly damaged. The mounting points on the shelving, where you would attach the shelf to the metal frame, we destroyed in places making them unusable.

Plastic fixings arrived in the box in pieces. Again completely unusable.

I really wish I had not taken a chance on this supplier and I will certainly not be using them again.

I shall be seeking neither refund not replacement as I wish to take this item to the tip to ensure that nobody else has to deal with it.

We would never knowingly send out faulty goods, so I have also submitted a complaint to the courier regarding heavy handling, as it sounds like the damage may have occurred in transit.

Product I bought was excellent ( cube shelving ) very reasonably priced.
Problem with delivery being long but not due to them due to delivery company messing up .
Will definitely recommend and buy again.

Excellent Service

I ordered a massage table as a gift for a family member as it was the best price I had seen. They kept me up to date about delivery as I had it delivered straight to the family members home. I didn’t tell her anything about it until I knew exactly when it was being delivered and it arrived 1 day early. She was delighted with the product and advises that people have said it is so comfortable to lie on.

Excellent service

Excellent service, competitive price and speedy delivery from Direct Home Furniture. I saw a small dog "transporter" on this site, exactly what i needed for my elderly, slightly overweight, cat to allow room for small litter tray for train journeys. It arrived quickly, was extremely easy to erect and the base/wheels will also transport my other cats in their boxes for visits to vets. Could not be more satisfied.

Bought a wing backed chair for £170

Bought a wing backed chair for £170, quality garbage, legs were not straight when screwed in and seat like stone. Seriously poor quality product, bought a far better chair for £50 less now.

Don't complain about their responses though, they threaten you with legal action.

We’re sorry to hear you were unhappy with your purchase, but we’d like to clarify the facts.

You reached out over the weekend when our returns team was closed, as clearly stated on our website. We had not ignored you—we simply hadn’t seen your message yet. However, instead of waiting for a response, you chose to give the chair away to charity and still expected a refund.

Under UK consumer law, customers have 14 days to return an item if they change their mind, provided they return it in its original condition. For faulty items, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 requires that evidence of the issue be provided before a return can be processed. In this case, no evidence was submitted, and the item was no longer in your possession, meaning a return and refund were no longer possible.

We strive to provide great products and service, but this requires cooperation from both sides. It’s unfortunate that we weren’t given the chance to resolve this properly.
