Berkeley are the best at what they do in my opinion. Incredible developments, Homes, sales and customer service before during and after sale. We are very happy and grateful to be a Berkeley home owner!

So I contacted Berkley regarding the gas works near me. I've raised concerns about damage to neighbouring areas, unnecessary destruction of trees, destruction of active fox burrows, and more.

My email was passed along to a Joe, who is a manager, who also, doesn't bother to actually follow up on anything. Absolutely no care for neighbours during the course of the development.

Avoid the Gas Works in Bath, more over priced tat anyway.

The team is professional, attentive, and actively works to resolve all my questions.

Always very unhelpful. Do not wish to sort issues. Very poor customer service.

My god arrogant greedy cowboys . Houses are slung together using cheapest of everything from plaster board to 2.5 cable ..To all telehandler operators.

This is what happens when the job becomes your life. You become a statistic in a long line of operators who thought the job was more important than your life. There is always another job. This man Mo Zubairu died on Saturday night of a heart attack, age 49. He’ll never see another birthday or his kids grow up. Today he is remembered on a gofund me page. As good a telehandler driver as he was and he was one of the best. In 6 months he will be forgotten. He was from Wembley working on the Berkley Homes site in Slough. Miss you mate. Sure you have gone to better place.

New Build in Royal Arsenal Riverside

- Front door not comply to the fire regulation you need to pay yourself to fix it.
- Toilet part are designed to be affect by hard water and limescales so they will not take responsibility if it fails in just 2.5years and any leak cause.
- Cistern would be installed without support so good luck if it break and leak.
- All hidden behind the wall, it is more easy to sneak in USA now than finding defect within the warranty period.

Do not buy from them !! You will lose an enormous amount of money! Overpriced, crooked and liars. They will tell you all kinds of stories about how your property will increase in price, all lies. I’ve lost an absolute fortune, bought 2 properties in Reading. The area is now crime ridden and ghetto! From day 1 these properties started losing value. Now each £100,000 below what I paid 8 years ago.
Their properties CRAZY overpriced! Avoid them!

Can’t recommend the staff at Hartland village enough. Their customer service is Second to none, particularly compared to some other local new build developers. Sadly, we had to pull out of our sale due to personal reasons but Frances and Janey both went above and beyond to help us and we are forever grateful. Fantastic service throughout the whole process even though we did cause them some issues, they did what they could to help so thanks again.

What a downright cheek and insult the Berkeley Group has, sending me a green travel pack explaining how I should be living my life, how far and by what means I should travel, what shops to visit and where I should go for recreation on foot or by bike.
Accusing me of having a carbon footprint and lying in print by adding a fictitious measurement and costing in British Pounds.
Do they not know how bricks and plastic pipes and windows are made, can they not see the diggers and dumpers, forklifts, cranes, lorries and all other manners of heavy diesel equipment on their own building sites?
They destroy and bulldoze massive amounts of beautiful green countryside, wildlife and all manners of nature to construct their brick boxes.

As far as I am aware I have only ever made footprints in the sand and shoe prints in the snow or on muddy ground.
Any prints I leave will be washed away, and will never be as bad throughout my entire lifetime as one of Berkeley's devastating toxic polluting flat fires or even a single one of their many building developments worth millions of carbon footprints all over our beautiful countryside.

Avoid “With Energy” and Be Cautious When Buying from Berkeley Group

I would strongly advise anyone to be extremely careful when considering a property purchase from Berkeley Group. What they fail to tell you is that you are locked into using a single energy provider: With Energy. This isn’t just inconvenient—it’s outright monopolization. You don’t have the freedom to choose a provider that offers competitive rates or better service. You’re stuck, plain and simple.

To make matters worse, With Energy charges an absurd £2 per day as a standing charge. That’s over £700 a year before you even use a single unit of energy. It’s completely unjustifiable and feels like daylight robbery. How is this even allowed? This ridiculous fee leaves you paying far more than necessary for basic utilities.

Berkeley Group has essentially handed its customers over to an exploitative energy company, ensuring you’re forced into paying extortionate fees with no way out. It feels unethical and deceitful, especially since this critical information isn’t disclosed upfront during the buying process.

If you’re considering buying a property from Berkeley Group, I urge you to dig deeper into this hidden trap before committing. The combination of poor transparency and exploitation through With Energy is enough to sour what should be an exciting investment in your future. Buyer beware!

It's a great development but they are not so great or straightforward in returning the security deposit.
My one star is based on my experience with their lack of professionalism when it came to returning my security deposit. I am still waiting as it drags on.
It's cost me time, effort and money as I await annoyingly.
