I have has income protection policy with Best insurance for 3years
In the past 9months my payments went from
£33 to £55 and now increased to £99.
Lodge a complaint and they was about as helpful as a chocolate fireguard.
Now going direct to lloyds before financial obesumum.
Will keep you updated

Well. I signed up a year ago pre-pandemic, protecting my income from roughly £50 a month. After 6 months they raised it to £75 and 6months later to £145 meaning an increase of 300% within a year.
I would say go somewhere else if you have the option. They are thieves

Good initially for redundancy/sickness policy etc - had for over 2 years then hit me with a "5th off cover value" 6 months ago with a "but we are dropping the premiums", then upped the premium back to original 3 months ago then had a "need to increase due to market conditions blah blah blah" this month - with a 95% increase of premium !!!! 95% - nice try guys - cancelled the next day by me and hope they go the same way as the policy .... they are just having a laugh.

Terrible terrible company, second increase in premiums in the last 5 months, going from £39 to £96!
I took my policy out 4 years ago, now when the going gets tough this company just take advantage of their customers at vulnerable times! Very untrustworthy company

I am only giving a one star as this is the lowest one to choose. Outrageous premiums. I have had unemployment cover for three years and in the last four months the premiums have increased twice. I was originally paying £40 per month and now they have increased the premiums to £143.00 per month. This is robbery and when I rang to query I was on hold for over 45 minutes and they never answered. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!

Took out income protection insurance a year ago (before the pandemic) for £27 per month. Arrived home today to find my insurance renewal letter, telling me my monthly payments are going to increase to £57! More than double what I was paying before. They’re taking advantage of people who are terrified of losing their jobs during these uncertain times and feel like they have no choice but to pay. Avoid like the plague, vile company

Best Insurance sold me an "unemployment insurance" specifically for fixed-term contractors, but turns out is excludes claims where "employment was not guaranteed". That's like selling car insurance but declining all claims because "you shouldn't have got into an accident".

Disgusting service after over 12 months of paying premiums (and a 20% premium increase during COVID).

Agree with all the poor negative comments here, "Best Insurance" should change their name for a start to "Worst Insurance". Also agree with zero stars, do not deserve any. They offer a premium then decide to increase it despite their contract offering a premium for 12 months. No justification at all, its your job to act ethically not try to steal money from policyholders for your mistake. Staff are ignorant and obnoxious. Avoid them at all costs.

Deserves 0 stars! Godawful company! Saw fit to put up my premium for redundancy insurance for the second time in three months. From an original £29 (which I’ve been paying for over 2 years) to now over £50! And that’s just for a paltry £1200 a month for 12 months, covering me only. When this is needed most they have victimised me with this disgusting hike. I’ll be launching a complaint to the financial ombudsman as I’ve had no choice to cancel my insurance. I can’t afford the new amount and I’ve effectively wasted 2 years of payments. Do not go with these criminals!!
