Recently bought my home with Jemma Ebdon and Helen Mafham. The whole process of purchasing my home from the point of instructing Jemma to act as my solicitor, to the day of completion was incredibly smooth. I was kept up to date every step of the way (something I’d not experienced when selling and purchasing property previously), they are both extremely knowledgeable, friendly and helpful! Nothing was a bother for either, and I wouldn’t hesitate using them again and recommending friends and family to do the same.

Sold my first house with Jemma Ebdon and her secretary Helen Mafham. Selling a home is stressful but Helen and Jemma made the process a breeze. They were always available on the day I called to answer my questions and handle my worries. Sara Khan in the Stockton office was the solicitor I used last year for a house purchase (see previous review) and she was absolutely brilliant. You often hear (and experience) negative issues around the conveyancing process, but I couldn't fault Sara's approach and work. I never had to chase up anything; indeed she spent more time chasing me!
I subsequently went on to buy a piece of land from a neighbour and, due to issues from the other side, this went on for about a year longer than it should have. In that time Sara never changed her tenacious approach to the work, constantly following up and chasing, and keeping me up-to-date throughout. Her advice is wise and her professionalism, patience and perseverance is unmatched.

I called BHP Law (Tynemouth) for some advice on my leasehold sale. The sale had stalled for months through the lack of communication from the buyers solicitor and confusing advice from my own solicitor on some technicalities. I wasn’t in a position to change solicitor, but due to the stress of the situation, I was desperate for some much needed impartial advice. I got that from Fiona Addison; such a calming and friendly voice over the telephone. I was really impressed with Fiona’s in-depth knowledge, calm persona, and the advice I was given. I was able to use that advice as a catalyst to ensure my solicitor got things moving on the technicalities stalling my sale; within weeks it was completed!
