I agree with the review summary. I have been dealing with Diamondsource for about 10 years and have always found Bob Panting very helpful, professional and friendly. He calls from time to time to check if we need any toner, or anything else. Most recently he advised the optimum printer / scanner for us and arranged delivery before a price increase. The printer / scanner has proved to be very good, and great value for money.

The company booked in our repair quickly. The engineer turned up on time, fixed the issue. We did pay a call out charge, however, no other charges were incurred. The engineer spent a long time thoroughly checking the printer. The company called to check everything was ok.

I called London Printer Repairs (Diamondsource) on a Wednesday and their repairer Chris arrived on schedule on Friday morning. My Epson printer had been with a local firm for a month and they had no idea what to do but Chris got it going within a couple of minutes and had completed a full head clean and service in 30 minutes with no extra charge other than the £60 (inc VAT) callout fee. So I'm very happy with the service I received.

We are happy with the company, because they are transparent, honest, trustful and they have been through with there investigations, to ensure that all the necessary repairs had been carried out and it was professional with respect from start to finish.

Excellent service from start to finish. I logged the issue and they were out the very next day to repair our printer. The engineer was knowledgeable, efficient, and explained everything clearly. It’s rare to get such fast and reliable support — really impressed and would definitely use them again!

We had a very disappointing experience with Diamondsource regarding a repair on our OKI 9541 printer.

The issue we reported was a persistent paper jam error, despite there being no actual paper jam. An engineer was sent out in mid-February and diagnosed the problem as a worn multipurpose tray (MPT) roller. Based on their assurance that this was definitely the cause, we agreed to proceed with the replacement — even though we had doubts, given the machine had only produced around 4,000 copies, making such wear highly unlikely.

We were charged significantly more for the part than market rates, but were advised that sourcing it ourselves would incur additional engineer visit charges. Trusting their expertise, we proceeded.

Unfortunately, the issue remained exactly the same after the replacement.

Following further engineer visits, a second engineer later confirmed that the problem was not the roller at all, but the multipurpose tray itself. It is worth noting that the roller we were previously charged for is part of that tray assembly.

When we raised this with Diamondsource, they refused to issue any refund for the incorrect diagnosis and part replacement, claiming the roller is not part of the MPT tray. We were then asked to pay an additional ~£300 for a full tray replacement — again, without any guarantee that this would resolve the issue.

To date, we have spent over £400 with no resolution, despite being told that their work is guaranteed.

Overall, this experience has been extremely frustrating:

Incorrect diagnosis leading to unnecessary costs
Overpriced parts
No accountability when proven wrong
No clear solution or guarantee moving forward

We would advise others to proceed with caution and seek a second opinion before authorising repairs.
