You can enable the "older children" feature on our app, which will provide more age-appropriate activities for your child. Great for all ages!
My family just started the German subscription and I'm amazed by the creativity behind the program. It's not only engaging and entertaining for little ones, but is also suitable for older age groups. Even for myself (in my early 40s), I've moved beyond mere sentence memorization and thoroughly enjoy the visual learning experience. I enthusiastically recommend this program to people of all ages. After seeing great progress, we can't wait to continue to our language journey!

Good lessons
Good lessons, my son 7 likes to get the trophies or dinosaurs by doing the tests. He's in 2nd grade and is very intelligent. His first language is English. We thought if we give this a try his English might improve. So far it's like playing a baby game. It does get harder but so far I think he's ok with it. My older daughter is learning Spanish and my oldest is learning Japanese. They seem to like it more.

My children have been using French and Italian for a year or so. They really enjoy animated games, they also learned a lot of new words. The only thing is it would’ve been nice if they offered a discount for the second language. Other than that it’s really a great website and I would recommend it. Thank you

I’m learning Portuguese on Duolingo but…
I’m learning Portuguese on Duolingo but after several months in and a purchased 1 year subscription I am told that it isn’t in fact Portuguese from Portugal I’m learning but Brazilian Portuguese.
No sign of European Portuguese available any time soon either.
Duolingo is very effective though. It makes practice fun.

Would have liked to have tried it
Would have liked to have tried it, but with kids learning multiple languages, I simply cannot afford to pay the subscription costs for each individual language (each language costing $15). There are many programs out there with one simple subscription amount and the ability to learn multiple languages or all available languages.
