I pay a monthly fee to your company, supposedly to cover breakdowns on system. My system stopped generating on 17th March. I’ve put in two tickets without any response as yet.
Always had good service from Esse and I always use them for spares to ensure that I have the right correct fitting part

Poor delivery service
Wonderful Esse Stove and thankfully the company we purchased it from chased up the delivery. It was just the delivery service that let it down.

Ordering the parts I needed was easy but more info would have helped
Ordering the parts I needed was straight forward and friendly. The only problem was that I had to order the parts separately. If I'd been told the riddle bar attachment didn't come with the grate it would have saved a bit of time.

I also understand that you were advised that the riddle grate is classed as a consumable part as it may require changing as part of routine maintenance over your stoves lifetime.

No customer care
I have tried calling Esse 6+ times only to be position 1 in queue for 10 mins then be placed on answer machine. They have emailed back but did not resolve the issue re being unable to organise purchase and shipping of an essential part for my esse cooker! Its been 4 weeks now and i cannot use it until fitted.

Suburban vs rural
- I like the construction of the stove.
- I don't like the lack of controls - one small air controller. I'm always needing to leave the door ajar.
- It is perfectly designed for suburban situations, but I live in a rural property - I need to burn the wood fallen on my 80 acre property, and that wood is 'variable'.
- I don't like the way the glass smokes up overnight.
- I do very much like to slow combustion that means I can easily re-kindle in the morning.
