Flymo Contour Cordless 20v Li trimmer

Just taken delivery of Flymo Contour Cordless 20V Li lawn trimmer. It's generally well-made, reasonable easy to assemble (despite awful instruction sketches), and seems to cut well. But, it seems very heavy to operate, especially in trim mode (as opposed to edge mode) due to the poor design of the guard. It is necessary to physically hold the machine just off the grass to stop the sharp edge of the guard catching in clumps etc, and this is very tiring. My previous 35-year old corded Flymo strimmer was much easier to use, as the guard edge folded into a flat surface about 3cm wide, which sat on the lawn and glided along, making trimming much easier, even though the machine itself was heavier.

Bought a Flymo 37VC lawn mower

Bought a Flymo 37VC lawn mower, hardly used it and the cable near the plug started to burn and then shorted out.
Could have been very dangerous, the cable is not fit for purpose
Contacted Flymo, they weren’t interested , just fobbed me off
Wouldn’t buy another one

Mighti Mo 300 Li battery mower.
First purchased Spring 2019 Dreadful avoid at all cost.
Battery terminals collapsed owing to docking not well designed making it hard to fit battery. Replacement Summer 2019 machine going the same way. Battery will not stay docked on mower. Having to re-seat it every few minutes and battery terminals beginning to deform just like the first one.Handle safety switch overly sensitive. Build quality really poor. I will cut my losses and dump it at the end of the mowing season if it gets there.

worst customers service I have every had - no moral compass

We purchased a Flymo mower and after 1 year the plastic handles broke off at the base. Reported to Flymo and they didn't want to know and were unconcerned about one of they products being poorly made and dangerous to use.
The worst customers service I have every had - no moral compass as a company - all about the money and not the customer.
We will never buy Flymo again!!!

I have a 1200R robot lawn mower. Terrible customer service

I have a 1200R robot lawn mower.
The three connectors at the back have rusted and need replacement.
Contacted website, and call centre , who said they could not find the part and I needed to do an in depth enquiry which would take three days.
Just got the result and they have referred me back to the web site.

My garden vac stopped working

My garden vac stopped working. I took the vac back to B&Q unfortunately I had misplaced my receipt, B&Q refused to acknowledge I had purchased from the store even though I had used my diamond loyalty card to obtain points!! I even called the B&Q customer service still no action. The next step was to contact Flymo by email with the serial and model number the unit was manufactured in July 2017!! What service absoluteley brilliant!!! No fuss just help and I am now waiting for my replacement FLYMO 10 OUT OF 10!! B&Q 1 OUT OF 10. The manager at B&Q could not be bothered and refused to even talk to me. My Flymo hedge trimmer 10 years old and still going strong

Clump 300v glide is rubbish

Clump 300v glide is rubbish, your lawn has to be perfect flat, and it blows the cuttings everywhere, it makes a big big mess, went all over soil, all over our plants all over patio it was a right problem. Took us days to clean it up, as it was blown in all directions, I recommend you stay well away, wasted our money, rubbish.

Totally inadequate & Rubbish Mowers

Truly bad experience with Flymo Easiglide mower purchased from B& Q.
I had used the mower on an already well kept lawn but within 6 uses the fan belt had shredded.
I Contacted Husqvarna who produces these rubbish machines. They told me that I had to take into a local designated mower repair specialist.!! I duly did this and was shocked that I had to pay for the repair. When I queried this I was told that the fan belt was not covered. Despite the fact that my lawn is well kept And flat it was suggested that I was not using the mower properly, which is total rubbish. Even after the repair it did not take long for the fan belt to go again in exactly the same way clearly a design fault with the mower, however Husqvarna disputed this and said that I would have to take the mower back to the repair agent.
There was never any problem with B&Q but I will never ever touch any Flymo product again.
I have now purchased a bosch mower for practically half the price which knocks spots off of the totally inadequate machines produced by Flymo/ Husqvarna.

Very poor Customer service DO NOT BUY Flymo

My flymo ultra glide was to be replaced due to a safety fault (fire) I Called them 28th November they told me six weeks before it could be replaced. after the six weeks I called them and "there had been some delays" And the company dealing with the replacement would be in touch(did not happen. Wincanton).Phoned again after nine weeks to complain that it had been nearly three months and was told that "it had not been three months" I repeated that I had not had the use of the lawn mower for nearly three months and the reply was that I should not be using it over the winter on wet grass. I Explained that the grass was cold but dry. After several more calls to flymo and wincantons the mower was to be replaced sometime yesterday 3-2-15. this did not happen, the excuse was bad weather and it would be delivered to day and you guessed it they would call to give me a time slot did not happen. still waiting for the replacement hopefully today but who Knows. SO DO NOT BUY FLYMO their customer service is appalling. If you have a recall or problem with anything do NOT be understanding return it to the company you bought it from under the sale of goods act 1979

Wonderful service

Will always buy a Flymo in future. We assembled our lawnmower wrongly (might read the instructions next time) and when we phoned the helpline not only were answered right away, but there was no judgement of our failure. The lady on the helpline told us exactly how to fix it. Not only that, but she sent us extra parts (for free) just in case they broke when we tried to remove them. (They didn't, and her instructions were spot on.) Lawnmower now works great, and it was excellent value.
