This company is a shining example of how heathcare should be delivered. Both the organisation and the staff were excellent from start to finish. I had plenty of opportunities to discuss my hopes and concerns with staff. My main ambition was to not need glasses any more (I'd been wearing increasingly strong varifocals for many years). After discussing the options I went ahead with surgery.
I had both eyes corrected, one for distance vision the other for reading. It's only been a few days after the second surgery and I'm writing this review without glasses. My distance vision is also excellent. I'm beyond delighted. Many thanks to Mr Oberholster and his team at Spamedica and Freedom Vision, Bolton.

I had cataracts removed from both eyes. I previously had complex prescription with long sight, astigmatism and short sight. I had worn glasses for 70 years. However now due to the great care from the Thorpe Park, Leeds team I no longer wear glasses. The results have exceeded my expectations

I arrived slightly ahead of schedule and parked in a free carpark with plenty of space. Walking in through the main security doors I was struck by how clean and modern the facility was. All the staff from the receptionist to the consultant who carried out the surgery were polite, helpful, well presented, knowledgably and well informed. There was no long waiting time and the surgeon who conducted the operation explained what was going to happen and the associated risks. Having attended as a NHS patient prior to choosing Freedom Vision I experienced exactly the same high level of customer service. This is how health care should be.

Charming & helpful advice throughout the process. Andre (surgeon) is a delight and performed the operation with a reassuringly calm & professional manner that puts one at ease at once.

From the first enquiry to the aftercare, I cannot think of a single niggle or complaint.
I know people could say that providing good customer/patient service is part of the job, and to an extent I agree, but I’ve worked in the NHS for 11 years. I’ve seen good and bad practice, and I’ve seen people doing their job well. On the rare occasions you meet someone with real empathy and patience, it resonates.
I know we were lucky enough to be able to afford to go private, and on that Freedom came out the most reasonable for the level of treatment.... but I have to say Hannah is an absolute credit and value to the service. I felt so assured my mum was in caring hands that they were not just trying to make money and get you in and out.
Any question, Hannah was just a call away, and the call the day after surgery really assured my mum in her recovery from the procedure. We never felt pressured or
It has been an absolute pleasure from start to finish; every member of staff, from buzzing you in to the surgeon, has been first-class and a credit to your group. I would wholeheartedly recommend any treatment with them.

The staff were very friendly and always happy to help. My treatment was clearly explained to me. Over my period of treatment the surgeon rang me three times to answer any questions and to ensure that I had chosen the right lenses. The person who was my main contact could not have been more helpful and managed the process really well.

A fantastic experience and Jackie Yau Patient Liason Manager led me through the whole 2 operations was amazing very friendly and professional. Highly recommend .

The staff here from the cleaners to consultant are friendly, and helpful.
The medical team are professionally competent they always explained what was going to happen and treated me with respect.

The assessment procedure was performed very professionally , however I was very disappointed I had to wait at least 3 weeks to have the yag treatment on one eye and then at least another 3 weeks for the second eye because the was an NHS appointment. Remarkable that you found time to rip me off £1190 to have It done privately.
An option which I felt held to ransom as my sighr had become very poor.
The fact that you need more than on appointment

Right from the start when I discussed my lens options with Freedom Vision at the North Tyneside Medical Centre to the procedures to the follow ups following each lens replacement the process has been 100% professional and impressive

Every step of the way the staff have been extremely friendly explaining everything to ensure any concerns I had were totally allayed

Wonderful team, professional and showed understanding for a very nervous patient. Painless procedure and after 30 years of wearing glasses for distance and reading I am now totally spectacle free.

I was very pleased with all aspects of my treatment. The staff were friendly, helpful and explained the whole process clearly. They spotted a retina tear which needed laser treatment before the operations could take place, something my opticians had never spotted.

After suffering many years with cloudy eyes I was desperate to get the surgery needed. My first impression of Freedom Vision was immediate, everyone was so friendly like an extended family. Warm and welcoming, I had a call from the surgeon who explained the details to me and what to expect. Believe me when I say, I was looking forward to it and couldn't wait was very true. The day of my surgery was a pleasure to be in the capable hands of so many proffessional and caring people. Most of the time is on preparing for the op which was painfree and over within a few minutes, I have honestly been in a dentist chair a lot longer than it took the amazing surgeon to carry out my surgery. The after care is equally as proffessional. Many many thanks to Freedom Vision. I would fully recommend the Freedom Vision Service to anyone.

Our experience at Freedom vision has been so nothing but incredible since the first appointment. My dad got his cataracts done in both eyes by Dr Kanj and they both went very smoothly and he has been looked after by Monika who went through everything with him and explained everything that would happen in the surgery and also payment options and has made everything so easy and personally I appreciate all the care and support she has given me & my dad. She also came through for me so I could get personal time off last minute from work so I could accompany my dad which I really appreciate! I couldn't recommend her enough and also all the other health technicians that work here who have given the upmost care to my dad with his eyes ❤️

Several aspects. There is far too much waiting around for starters - appointments given NHS style in batches, then a long wait. But as far as the optical service is concerned I’m far from happy with the RayOne Galaxy ‘varifocal’ I was recommended. I'm told everything measures fine (no specifics provided) but in real life what they do is some way short of what they claim to do. I’m using intermediate and reading glasses again - not what I thought I was paying eight grand for.

The location was very good for me, with bus, tram and trains close by, my first appointment was good, with the process being explained and the cost, the 12 months interest free credit being a good option. The surgery went well with me having the cataract removed and my short sighted being corrected, so no need for glasses, and all completed within weeks. Monika guided me throughout the process and introduced me to all the staff and my surgeon Dr Kanj, who did a wonderful and pain free job. I would recommend Freedom Vision.
