Fantastic customer service
I had a few issues with delivery and the courier, but the customer service — in particular Sally — was excellent. She was on the ball throughout, keeping me updated when I couldn’t get information from the courier, and really went above and beyond to resolve things quickly. Her prompt responses and helpful approach put me at ease and reassured me that I was being looked after.
I’ve always loved the products, and I’m very happy they arrived. Thank you again for the fantastic customer service!

No idea when or how my order is coming.
I ordered a cube storage unit on August 23rd. I ordered with GLTC as I've done so before and they've been excellent and no issues and their quality is good. I expected the same from the shopping experience.
However I then got several emails saying 'are you still interested'? After I'd already bought the item. And 'follow us on Instagram'.
On August 26th I got an ambiguous email saying 'your item is on is way' with a tracking number but no details on where to track the order. No detail on when I might expect it.
I'm then directed to sign into an app called 'shop' to track the parcel - this app apparently needs full access to my Gmail. So I've not consented to that.
There is no phone number for GLTC which is so poor for a company selling premium goods.
I'm going to be away for a couple of days so need to check that my order isn't going to end up being on my doorstep.
I emailed them and was told I have a 'ticket' to be assisted within 48 hours. A phone call to a person would have been much nicer.
After a great experience a couple of years ago, this all seems like a really poor show and not at all user or parent-friendly.

Exactly what I was looking for
This was exactly what I was looking for and my son loves it. Great quality product, really easy to follow assembly instructions and quick delivery. I was reluctant to purchase it at first as I thought it was a bit expensive but I’m glad I did - no regrets at all. I will definitely buy from Great Little Trading Co again.

Nice items but horrible smell
Nice items but got a bookshelf/toy storage unit for my toddler and noticed after a couple of nights how terrible it smells. Feel really bad that he’s been sleeping at night breathing this in. I’ve removed it from his room now. Is this furniture safe or toxic?

Thank you for your feedback — I’m glad to hear you liked the design of the storage unit, but I’m very sorry to learn about the unpleasant smell and your concerns about safety. Your child’s wellbeing is incredibly important, and I completely understand how worrying this must be.
Our furniture is manufactured in compliance with strict safety standards, and we do not use toxic materials. However, some items — especially those made from MDF or particleboard — may emit a temporary odour due to packaging or factory finishes. This is known as “off-gassing” and is common with new furniture. It typically dissipates within a few days when aired out in a well-ventilated space.
That said, we take your concern seriously. If the smell persists or seems unusually strong, we’d be happy to rectify this for you.

Excellent customer service
Ordered a little cat cart for my granddaughter, which arrived promptly. Unfortunately the ink where her name had been printed had smeared down the side and wouldn’t come off. Contacted the company and they sent another (perfect) one within a few days. Nice product and excellent customer service - I will definitely be buying from them again.

Fantastic customer service
Fantastic customer service - I ordered a shelf for my baby's bedroom a few months ago, having had the same shelf in my toddler's bedroom for several years, and only realised after the returns window had passed that it didn't fit in their room. Customer services were so helpful and allowed me to return this item. I've made several orders from GLTC in the past and would not hesitate to recommend them.

Ordered cube storage furniture and storage baskets on 23 June 2025 and still have not received the items.
I have emailed several times (to the correct email address) to find out where my order is and no one is responding. It makes no sense that there is no other way to contact the company, hence being forced to leave this review!

Please call me and leave a number to call you back on if I miss you.
If not received by 25 July I will need to contact trading standards because I can’t even request a refund if you’re not picking up my emails.

Purchased a wooden ice-cream stand for…
Purchased a wooden ice-cream stand for my little girl, within a day the scoop had come apart. Another thing is that the ice creams have no way of staying on, so just fall off when playing with them. I would have thought it could have been either magnetic or velco’d. For the price, I’m not sure the quality is worth it.

Still waiting delivery of a cubed…
Updated review: Item has now arrived and is fab!
Initial review: Still waiting delivery of a cubed storage unit. The first tracking number I received showed no progress at all. I contacted GLTC and Sally has provided me a new tracking number. XDP are so incredibly SLOW. I am still hoping to receive the item but all XDP say is "we've got it" no estimated delivery date or anything.
This must be a reasonably new contract for GLTC using XDP because I've had a similar unit delivered in the past, not using XDP and there were no issues before. I have spent A LOT of money at GLTC but once this item is delivered (if it will be) I am not using them again. GLTC if you read this, you should escalate higher up the chain.

I contacted GLTC on the off chance they…
I contacted GLTC on the off chance they could help me with some spare hinges I needed after buying a wardrobe second hand or at least point me in the right direction of exactly what I was looking for.
Sally replied to my email only a couple of hours later when it says it can take up to 48 on the site- I was immediately impressed. Further to that Sally then went above and beyond to supply me with the parts I needed no issue for a small fee plus delivery. I am so so pleased with the service it’s incredible, especially as I brought second hand as well! Thanks so much Sally you are a credit to your company.
Further to that the furniture is absolutely superb quality- absolutely solid - the only reason I needed hinges was because they were damaged by the previous owner . I’m just so so pleased

Outstanding quality
Fell upon this website whilst looking for items to decorate my grand daughters room. There was no much choice I had to control myself as I would of ordered everything ! Chose my items and today all of the items were delivered. Firstly excellent packing, then some of the items needed assembling, however this was all very easy and the quality of everything was fabulous.

My order arrived promptly with good tracking. I had one item I no longer required that I returned. Although it wasn’t processed immediately, I contacted customer services who were on the case straight away and processed the refund the same day. Great service and I’m really pleased with our Alba modular units.

Terrible communication and service!
I ordered a storage container and baskets for my children's toys on the 3rd of July. I received an email on the 6th of July saying that my order would be with me in a few days, the money has been taken from my account but I still haven't received it! I've emailed GLT and haven't had any response. For such an expensive company as mentioned by other customers the communication and delivery service is terrible!

Delivery service is not good and no…
Delivery service is not good and no telephone number to contact anyone at GTLC. I asked to be told when delivery is happening / to arrange it but only got an email on the day of delivery and then got told the bed was delivered even though there was no one at the property and delivery included installation. All i have is an email address to follow this up with.

I wanted to reach out regarding your recent order and let you know that our customer service advisor has been working hard to keep in touch with you. I see that your bed hasn’t been delivered yet as suggested. This part of your order is a specialised delivery, it does require a booking with you in advance. No delivery will take place until it has been agreed with you. I can see our advisor has explained this process on multiple occasions.
I also noticed that you’re away until the end of the month, and that’s no problem at all! We’re more than happy to hold orders until customers are ready to receive them. Unfortunately, since we weren’t informed of your plans, part of your order was dispatched to our logistics partner, and they left some items at your property while you were away. We take full responsibility for ensuring that orders are not left unattended, especially for your elderly mother to deal with.
