Purchased a Hell Bunny dress from a beautiful store in Whitby. The dress itself is lovely, well made & good quality fabric. But, oh my!, the sizing! I am a UK size 12 normally but ended up with a XL in this dress. My other Hell Bunny dress is a L and I was a 14 then!! Pays to try on stuff before you buy, especially with companies like Hell Bunny as their sizing is all over the place!!
Stay away, this company is an absolute nightmare. They sent me an item that was wish.com levels of defective, and right out of the gate in my first messages asking for help to fix this situation, they told me to kick rocks, the item is fine. When I pressed and showed proof that it was extremely not fine (measurements were DOUBLE DIGITS off from the size chart), they tore my head off in a series of emails that were bizarrely hostile in tone, not to mention that they regularly insulted me which was absolutely insane to experience. They made it perfectly clear they didn't care that I was out hundreds for the item and they had no intention of doing anything to rectify it, while also regularly making comments inferring that I'm stupid. Truly unlike anything I've ever experienced before from a company that presents itself as normal. Listen to the other reviews, this company is a nightmare. I also am yet another person who experienced what other people have said here too, that their sizing charts for items are massively wrong.
I genuinely gasped when I was reading the responses to my e-mails from the customer service agent, Leisha.
Firstly, the e-mails were incredibly unprofessional, formatted poorly and honestly just cheeky at parts.
Additionally, as a company they really don't make it easy to return any items. Feels very scammy and has left me with serious ick which is a real shame as used to love HellBunny. No idea what's happened.
Anyway, train your customer service agents on how to write e-mails.

ive read a lot of these reviews and i feel awful for anyone who has had a bad experience with them :(. i, luckily, have had a good experience. ive bought (all seperate orders) two skirts and 3 dresses from the hell bunny website. all good quality and quick shipping. i did return one skirt and ordered a replacement in one size down. i got my refund but not for the shipping- i didnt realize i should have until today (reading other reviews) but its a bit late to do anything now. one of the other skirts i ordered (in the sale) arrived, and unfortunately one of the pockets was at the back? it doesnt bother me too much because i bought it for the colours/style not the pockets and didnt want to return it and wait for another. i buy 4XL from hell bunny because my waist/hips are 4XL but above that (so my bust area?) i am a size less than that i think, so dresses can be quite baggy around there, but i always wear tops under my hell bunny dresses so not to bothered, however other people may want to be cautious of this!!! other than that im happy with my purchases. i also bought a cardigan from a shop near my house that stocks a few hell bunny items, and my cardigan is lovely, really soft and nice.
I have bought two dresses from HB in the last two months and the quality is so poor for the price.
The straps on my first dress came away after the first wear and my second dress has started fraying at the seems after the first wash.
Customer Service is as poor as its product quality sadly and they do little to resolve the issues.
Unless you like to sew your garments, I wouldn't pay more than a fiver for their products, which is sad as they have fantastic designs and patterns.
I contacted customer services after finding my trousers with poorly pressed studs that had sharp metal cutting my legs and through the fabric. I contacted customer service who accused me of not washing them correctly and they couldn't do anything about it.
I got back to them about the consumer rights regarding faulty/unwearable clothing within a year and I was met with rudeness. I was told I could return them at my expense with no expectation of anything that could be done.
Also their size charts don't match up to the products correctly so I ended up purchasing the incorrect size twice and paying for the delivery/return both times even though it was within the 14 day cancellation period.
My package was due to be delivered to my safe space (behind my gate/fence) as I wasn’t home. When I got an email to say it had been delivered, I opened the link to see that the package had been delivered to someone else’s garden. I contacted DPD, who refused to send the driver back to where they had delivered it, and told me I had to go around to all of my neighbours and find the package myself. I refused because this could be up to 100 houses, which would be very time consuming and triggering to my anxiety. They recommended contacting Hell Bunny instead, so I did. Unfortunately, they were even worse than DPD. Not only did they also tell me to go and look for the parcel myself, they essentially mocked me for not wanting to go out and do their job by finding the package - which is utterly disgraceful when I have paid £4.99 for delivery. They then came back the next day to say they have contacted DPD and DPD may “decide” to send someone badk to retrieve my package, but no guarantee (they are also refusing to tell me what options I have if DPD refuse to retrieve my package as well). At this point I thought I’d look into my rights, and found that it is fully Hell Bunny’s responsibility to send me a replacement or refund if the package goes missing, and they should never have made it my job to search for the package myself. I contacted Hell Bunny again with an official request for a replacement, to which they responded in the same rude tone, but this time insinuated that the package had been delivered to the safe space that I had provided, and that I was lying about it being delivered to the incorrect address (I have screenshots of where the package was delivered so this is utterly ridiculous). I’m not going to continue arguing with this disgusting company that are gaslighting me and not allowing me to carry out my rights, so I have since been in contact with Citizen’s Advice on behalf of Trading Standards and they are helping me to carry this complaint forward. They also agreed that I have done everything I should, I have all of the evidence I need, and that I’m being prevented from using my rights. It’s a shame because I’ve been ordering from Hell Bunny for over a decade, but they have completely lost me as a customer now.
I got hooked in by the sale and bought one of their dresses for £24.99 but I returned it due to it not being the quality I expected.
I was annoyed at myself for not checking their returns policy first as it's something I usually take care at looking at. I was disappointed when I saw it stated "Please note, this will exclude any postage and packaging costs." as this goes against UK law for Consumer Rights.
I immediately emailed and explained that I didn't get a full refund for my order and I still haven't received a response so I'm hesitant as to whether they will even bother. What's even worse is default shipping costs £4.99 and you get no choice in that.
I recently returned a Disney UK order and was given back my delivery costs because this is the law, so make sure you know your rights and what companies are entitled to give you back.
Your Consumer Rights:
A customer is liable for the cost to return an item, however if they send the full order back then standard delivery costs should be refunded by UK law.
Citizen's Advice: "If you paid for standard delivery when you bought something, the seller has to refund this if you return it."
Which?: "After returning the goods, the retailer should refund you the cost of the goods and the standard delivery cost you paid to get the goods sent to you in the first place."
I'm also fully aware of my Consumer Rights because I have my own small business and any customer that returns to me gets a full refund.
This happens more often than it should because companies know customers may not be aware of their Consumer Rights. The same happened to me with ASOS but when they acknowledged they were in the wrong, I was given my delivery costs back and unfortunately it is usually something you have to ask for.
Firstly, the quality of clothing for the price is overall poor - the materials are sub standard and the sizing is essentially pot luck as to whether it is accurate.
Then, joyfully, returns (of which there were many including a heavy coat) have to be returned at the buyers cost.
You could engage with ‘customer services’ - who appear to have been trained by a combination of watching episodes of Fawlty Towers and real world advanced sarcasm - who will be totally unhelpful, rude and uncompromising in their approach.
Overall my only recommendation here would be to not use this firm ever. Substandard in every way.
Köpte en kofta som inte passade men det blir svårt att returnera. Jag fick ingen retursedel och jag menar inte fri retur utan returen som dras av koftans pris . Dålig service, rekommenderas inte!
Clothes are nice but very expensive for the quality. I only buy them when on sale. Sizing chart is very unreliable. Hell Bunny website is dodgy and glitchy, so I purchase via resellers.
Poor 'customer service'. Bought a shirt after checking my measurements with the size chart and going by previous buys. It comes and it is too small at waist yet massive in the shoulders. I return and buy the next size up. I have to pay return postage which is OK but then when I receive my refund Hell Bunny also keeps the initial postal cost of £4.99, meaning I am out most of £10 to return an item which is poorly sized. I contacted the 'support' who said it was my fault for ordering the wrong size and were generally so rude I couldn't believe it. They are refusing to refund my £4.99 despite it being in the Consumer Contract Regs that initial postage is to be refunded. I was a regular customer prior to this and overlooked alot of issues with quality but if this how they treat customers in a cost of living crisis- as if we don't matter- then I will spend my hard earned money elsewhere.
I love their clothes, but how can you go up to a 6XL and not a XXS/3XS? Nothing fits me, and because the other reviews about sizing missed this - according to their chart, XS is actually a size 8, not 6.
£5 for delivery- It states when going through the purchasing page 'next working day', no other option available. Purchased on a Sunday, not even dispatched come end of Tuesday
I query next day delivery and get told by them 'Not sure where you have seen that
Here is the info on the site
Orders placed before 12 pm Monday-Thursday will be posted with our Next Day Shipping service. If you place an order after 12 pm, or over a weekend, your order will be sent on the next working day, for instance, Saturday orders will be posted on Monday. Please note although we try our best it's not guaranteed to be shipped the next day and orders may be affected over bank holidays, promotions, and during sale periods. '.So basically they will charge you an unreasonable delivery charge, make it sound like they will send it next working day but actually send it when they feel like it, especially if you order over the weekend. For less than £5 I can for example, package drive/petrol costs and send via Evri for Vinted, less than this company who makes a whole business out selling clothes online can do it and it will get to my buyer quicker than what I will get this order-that is if I ever get my order- The package should have been received today, nevermind not even dispatched!! Rubbish, never again.
They overcharge EU customers by more than 50%. Example: Weston jeans cost 44.99 GBP (approx 51 EUR) on their UK website. On their EU website they charge 77,99 EUR. That's post Brexit price discrimination!
Great customer support. Responds fast. Delivery is fast and efficient. Quality clothing. Bought a skirt directly from the website and one of their pink cardigans from Sourpuss. Very cute clothing and I’ll be buying again for sure.
I ordered a skirt from here just before Christmas. It was my first time shopping with the brand so I went by the size guide. Unfortunately the waist was six inches larger than the size guide stated, so I went ahead and ordered two smaller sizes, as I thought that just sizing down once might not be enough. Returns are not free, so I posted the two larger sizes back together, clearly marking which return form corresponded to which item. I had emailed customer services prior to returning the items, to let them know that I would be sending two orders back in the same package, they responded very quickly and had no issues with me doing this. The refund was processed within two weeks of me returning the items, which is super fast considering that Royal Mail are on strike and a lot of post is held up.
I wanted to share my honest review as I’m happy with the quality of the skirt and the service I received, and people are always quick to write negative reviews over a positive one. The only disappointing factors were the size guide being incorrect and the fact that I had to pay to return the items.
For reference, I wear a UK 12, and the size Small skirt is a perfect.
The designs are unique and the natural cotton fibres are great, but omg the VANITY SIZING! Their XS/6 used to fit me. Now, even though I've actually gained weight, their so called XS/6 is like a size 12, completely drowns me. Other women, because returns are too expensive, are trying to sell their oversized "XS" dresses on eBay saying the same thing. If Hell Bunny size 6, the smallest they stock, is now a vanity size 12, where does that leave women like me? Are we now size 00's? Ridiculous.
Extremely rude and unprofessional customer service staff.
Avoid this company!
the quality is poor, overpriced even on sale and the sizing runs large compared to the size guide. customer service response? the sizing is fine and they "rarely get complaints." trustpilot disagrees with that last statement. the reason this site does not offer free returns is because they would be out of business if they did.
