I requested a package holiday to Dubai for 10 people and was initially dealing with an agent by email. I was quoted approximately £8,350, which was reduced to £8,140 after a discount.
On the same day, I replied asking them to reserve the holiday and requested details of what information they needed from me. Unfortunately, I received no response.
The following day, as I still hadn't heard back, I called and spoke to an agent named Zac. He was polite, but I was extremely disappointed with how the booking was handled. Zac informed me that the price had increased to £8,490, allegedly because the airline had raised its fares overnight.
Despite my disappointment, I reluctantly agreed to proceed and emailed the names of all 10 passengers within 1hour or less.

Shortly afterwards, I received another email advising that the price had increased yet again to £9,190, again blaming an airline fare increase. I was also told a "loyalty discount" had been applied.
This was particularly frustrating because I was able to obtain the exact same package elsewhere at that same price without any loyalty discount, so the claim was difficult to understand.
At that point, I decided not to proceed and booked through another travel company instead. They offered a significantly better deal, including more convenient flight times, airport transfers in Dubai, two additional nights at the exact same hotel, and an overall lower price.
I was later informed that airlines and agents can often hold flight fares for a period, which makes the rapid increase from £8,140 to £9,190 within such a short timeframe seem highly questionable.

Had my original email been responded to promptly instead of being left unanswered while the agent was away, I may have secured the original quoted price.

Based on my experience, I would advise customers to be cautious, obtain quotes from several companies, and carefully question any explanations for sudden price increases before committing to a booking. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling misled and very disappointed with the service I received.

Excellent communication from Richard and good prices! Have used this company before and all has been good. Travelling in Summer so will update then.

Used Holiday Genie to rebook our Maldives vacation after our original booking was cancelled by another TA due to the Middle East conflict. Not only were HG the cheapest of all the other on-line TA's offering the same package, their customer service representative (Richard) was excellent from start to finish. Will definitely use again in future.

I first used Holiday Genie back in 2016 so decided to book with them again for my up coming holiday to Florida in 2027. So far I have been really impressed with the service I have received. Richard has answered all my questions and responded to my emails in no time at all. Hopefully my holiday goes ahead with no hic-ups. Like I say , so far everything has gone to plan ! Ranul and his great customer service has been a godsend through the booking process of our holiday. He has been helpful and informative all along.

Holiday Genie are not members of ABTA, so fewer safeguards.

We agreed a three week all inclusive Christmas holiday with Zach Bowyers, though he didn't respond to our emails asking to confirm. All next day there was only voice mail. An Internet search produced a land line number. They said the Holiday was still available but the BA flights were not, we would have to pay £380 more for KLM. The next day we were told that KLM flights could not be booked and we were back to BA.

We paid a deposit of more than £3000, at least we could relax and look forward to our all inclusive holiday. WRONG! With a month to go we got an email from Saikat Chakraborty, the customer service manager, saying that the holiday was room only. He offered a discount or a refund. We asked for a refund. That was on a Friday evening. The following Monday Zach resurfaced, advising us to keep the flights as new flight tickets would be expensive and it would be very difficult to get a refund from BA for the extra legroom I had paid for. Neither of these were true. That was the last we heard from either of them. Emails asking about our refund went unanswered. I phoned and asked if we could speak to Saikat Chakraborty. I was told that he doesn't accept calls. That tells you everything you need to know about his commitment to customer service.

To cut a long story short, it took 7 weeks to get our deposit back. Money which left my account in a few seconds! I was so worried about it that I started a Visa dispute with my bank.

Used this company twice, the second time we arrived at one of the hotels on our trip and it was closed. After sending them proof they said they would chase their supplier, over 4 months later they’ve said they won’t refund until their supplier refunds, so now a claim must be made. Avoid at all costs.

Didn’t end up booking as had to go separate due to flexibility. BUT Lauren from Holidaygenie has been amazing helping me find the best deal for a trip to Orlando. Gave me multiple options and also listened to what I wanted. Have previously booked with holidaygenie twice before and have always been amazing customer service!

A great booking experience, Richard who dealt with our enquiry was efficient and came back with a great deal that met all our requirements. Have used Holiday Genie in the past and will certainly use them again in the future.

Can't be beaten on price and that's a fact. The service they give are top dollar and they look around to make sure they have an unbeatable price.

Beth was fantastic, very helpful and patient too. Not once did she push to get the sale but she got it anyway as she price matched it to one I’d found elsewhere. Well what can I say from the first enquiry made Beth has been outstanding she went above and beyond and found our dream holiday to New York, it was only as we were booking that we realised it was the same person who booked our vegas holiday 5 yrs ago 5 stars plus for customer service

Excellent customer service. Couldn't fault anything at all. Charlotte was amazing. She answered my million and one questions. So patient with fantastic attitude and happy to help. She helped us find the best holiday package with an amazing price.

We booked a holiday in the Maldives (Nautica Paradise Island) for our honeymoon and used holiday-genie as a recommendation from my friend who used their services the year before and they did not disappoint. Beth was the agent who offered a five star service, from selecting the resort that met our requirements and even offered support when there with issues with our flights due to the airspace closing. We will definitely be using holiday-genie again as their after-care service is excellent, they custom make the holiday package to both your needs and budget and they're more affordable than other large companies such as TUI, where the price would have been nearly double.
