Great service in the Fulham Store
I went into the Fulham Store with a really small problem - I needed just one of piece of stone to match my shower floor - Georgia was so very helpful - she put as much effort into finding this for me (which took time and a lot of messages to your fabrication unit - where Sam was also really helpful) as I would have expected (and have previously experienced) for a large order - this was such impressive customer service

I've been assisted by, and bought from, the wonderful staff at the Bath showroom on a couple of occasions now and I just cannot sing their praises enough. Both of my projects have been small and yet the girls, Amy on the first occasion and Ligija on the second, couldn't have done enough for me. So helpful and informative and willing to put up with my inability to make a quick decision! I don't know if they receive commission, but if they do they would have got peanuts based on the size of my purchases, but it didn't matter, they still gave me all the time and energy and it's one of the reasons shopping at Madarin Stone is such a joy. The tiles are of course beautiful too! The Bath manager, a gentleman who's name I didn't get, was also super kind and helpful. Just excellent service all round and stunning products. Thank you!

Excellent company
Excellent company. We bought Classic Calacatta honed marble tiles from the Harrogate store for our bathroom floor and shower.We made several visits there to look at our options and to collect samples. On every occasion staff were exceptionally friendly, patient and offered good advice. We mainly spoke to Clare Cruise who was fantastic as we’re all other staff.
The tiles arrived on time with a very helpful driver who put the pallet straight into our garage.
The tiles are beautiful and were well priced as was the adhesive/ grout etc.
We needed one extra tile to finish our bathroom and got this delivered to the Harrogate store for us to collect saving a costly delivery charge.
Would highly recommend this company and store.
Great all round experience.

Order queries
When I had a problem with my order (my fault) the office were extremely helpful and ensured the extras needed were added and delivered at the same time.
Further queries were dealt with quickly, efficiently and all staff were very friendly and helpful.
The tiles too are fabulous!

Highly personalised service and excellent professional advise from Jo A when selecting our tiles. She listened to all of our requirements and made suggestions of tiles that we loved. Delivery was timely - delayed upon our request. Delivery driver was friendly and very helpful. An excellent customer experience from start to finish and beautiful tiles for our home.

Beware of returning anything
**THEY MAKE IT BOTH IMPOSSIBLE AND EXPENSIVE FOR YOU TO RETURN ANYTHING*
Mandarin Stone has good quality tiles and we are overall quite content with the service provided. BUT the process of returning unused tiles has left a sour taste behind, other customers ought to know about.
First, Mandarin Stone has a showroom in places, the one in London is at Primrose Hill. They have their main warehouse in Wales. You can get samples from london showroom but not much more.
Second, we ordered for two bathrooms and one water closet. A relatively large order. In some places we've had a bit too much, and in others we've quite a bit left. In total we have about 6 unopened boxes across the house.
In attempting to return these heavy tiles we are told (a) we have to return them to Wales(!) and (b) there is a 20% restocking charge! Almost a quarter of the price goes to administering the return. To say nothing of what it would cost to return incredibly heavy tiles to from London to Wales. The cost of all this is close to £400 - to return unopened boxes of tiles?
This is a very poor service for customers spending thousands of pounds with you.
Whilst I tried to explain all the above to people at Mandarin, no one was ultimately prepared to see the logic of not charging these disproportionate sums.
In short, order much less than you need and top up, do not attempt to be efficient by ordering more than you need, or accept any advice to do so. It would appear there's a neat business model behind it.
UPDATE: The poor and tone deaf reply brings this rating down to two stars.

We are sorry to hear that you are disappointed with our returns process.
This order was placed under our trade account terms and supplied at discounted trade pricing as part of a business-to-business transaction.
The products supplied were exactly as ordered and were not faulty or incorrectly delivered.
Despite this, we were happy to accept the return. As with many suppliers in the construction and building materials industry, accepted returns are subject to the goods being returned to our central warehouse for inspection before they can be checked, processed, and returned to stock.
Unfortunately, returning multiple, heavy boxes to our high street stores poses a health and safety risk to yourselves, our staff and clients whilst we await collection for their onward return to our warehouse in South Wales. We don't have storage facilities in our high street stores for larger returns.
A restocking charge is applied to cover the genuine costs associated with returning goods to our warehouse, handling, inspecting, processing a refund and restocking the returned goods.
We appreciate that this may not be the outcome you are hoping for, but we believe the approach we offer is fair and consistent.

The quality of the stone was excellent, quality of delivery was dreadful
The quality of the stone was excellent, albeit very expensive and the customer services and ordering process was very efficient throughout. Delivery was dreadful though. Young guy whovadmitted it was his last job of the day on a Friday refused to drive his van down our driveway, despite it being easily wide enough. As a result, myself and the two guys I had laying the stones had to carry our entire order of 64 slabs from kerbside 400m to my garden on one of the hottest days of the year. Very poor service indeed when you spend this much money.

We are, however, very sorry to read about your delivery experience. We completely understand how frustrating it must have been to have to move 64 slabs such a considerable distance, particularly on such a hot day.
Our deliveries are made to the nearest accessible point, with the final delivery location determined at the driver's discretion based on site access and health and safety considerations. While we appreciate this can sometimes be disappointing, these decisions are made to ensure deliveries are carried out safely for both the vehicle, our customers, and our drivers.

Helpful team and useful sample service
We buy tiles from them regularly, and the team are always so helpful with any technical or style questions we have. Samples are sent quickly and safely, and tile quality is excellent.
