Has been ok until I was provided with false information
I have been with Medicash for one year and so far it's worked fine. However my benefits restarted on the 1st of August and I hadn't used my optical benefit so I enquired with Medicash around mid July about buying some 2 for 1 glasses at specsavers and splitting the bill across my two benefit years. I was told in writing I could do this. I purchased the glasses on the 31st of July and claimed my £75 and enquired to the original email about how to claim the other £75 this benefit year. I only collected the glasses on the 7th of August. A few emails back and forwards to be told today sorry but I was provided with incorrect information and they won't be able to honour it. More staff training would be beneficial there so don't give out more false information.

I have been in Medicash for years!
I have been in Medicash for years, wouldn't be without it, when you've got the app it's just really easy to claim,fill in a few details and take a photo and you're done and if you have to ring up the staff are really nice and helpful and you get told when the payment is going in to your bank, one of the best run companies I think!

Refuse receipts on first submission…
Refuse receipts on first submission even when all the correct details are showing on the receipt. Can only guess they are using rubbish AI to interpret receipts or staff need better training.

Typical scam
Typical scam. I specifically asked my dentist for the exact documentation they needed, uploaded it and sent it via their website. Their web page does not give you a receipt confirmation or reference number so I wasn't sure if they had even received it. Anyway they wrote back rejecting my claim on the false premise that I had only provided a treatment plan. This is clearly untrue because I don't even have a treatment plan. I was only claiming for a regular dental check-up but they are using every trick to block it. I hope I never fall seriously ill and have to make a large claim in the future.

Typical service, all the usual promises but actually getting anything paid is never easy, always looking at the small print to somehow decline a claim.
