We were doing some research on what gave us the best mortgage rate at the time, and Nesto had by far the best mortgage rate compared to the big banks, even better than True North Mortgage. Only thing was, my family & friends never heard of Nesto before and neither did we. After doing our homework, we gave them a call, and got the mortgage process going. They were extremely professional, and clear with what they required, which were recent finical records of where the money came from, recent letter of employment, and etc. One thing I wish they told us early was getting the letter of employment process started, because my partner is a nurse and no offence, but the HR at the Hospital are slow. Other than that, we couldn't any happier getting our mortgage with Nesto.

At first I was a little bit sceptical of the quality of the service Nesto would propose. I was completely pleased to deal with Nesto. Both brokers I interacted with were more than helpful and friendly. Alec and Stephanie were amazing and quick to answer any of my questions. This is the first time I buy a house and for sure I will be back when it's time to renew my mortgage.

Expérience horrible avec Nesto. Fuyez pendant qu'il est encore possible. Je comprends mieux pourquoi leurs taux sont si bas, à l'image du service. Il y a eu une erreur sur notre relevé de compte hypothécaire et tout le monde se renvoyait la balle entre Nesto, FCT, le notaire choisi par eux, et l'ancien prêteur. Personne n'avait la même version. Le tout s'est bien terminé mais la situation a été horriblement stressante.

We renewed our mortgage with Nesto in Q1/Q2 of 2022. If we could go back in time, we would not use them. The renewal took nearly 2 months to complete. We provided the information that was asked within 24-48 hours at each step. We never dealt with the same person for more than one task, which ended up with us questioning the privacy of our information. We were also asked to submit the same documents multiple times to different people. There were weeks at a time where we did not know the status of our application, thankfully we were only renewing not buying a new home. Once it came down to signing the actual documents, the person who was responsible for this (my understanding was that they were contracted by Nesto), tried to change our appointment multiple times after telling her we were unavailable during the time she kept suggesting. She arrived late to our home to sign the documents, came unprepared (did not have a proper pen or correction tape, documents were creased and disheveled), she did not review our documentation prior to reviewing it with us, so when we had questions she could not answer them and told us to get in contact with Nesto instead.

Since signing our mortgage it's been hard to get a hold of competent representatives (you send an email to an general mailbox and any agent will pick it up). Your single inquiry will be answered by multiple people. We originally signed on for a variable mortgage and I when asked for details about locking it into a fixed rate (unfortunate timing on our part and a little stressful, with prime increasing steadily in 2022), I had to go through a couple agents before getting correct information on interest rates and what our actual mortgage payment would be, after giving all information on my first email to the general mailbox.

I did not look up any online reviews before deciding to go with Nesto (and still have not, at the time of writing this review), so part of the blame could be placed on me for not doing my homework. I don't think we were high maintenance clients, although it was our first renewal so did we had a few questions. Our experience could be the norm or an anomaly, but if you are looking for lack of a better term, "intimate experience" when renewing or signing up for a new mortgage, I would look elsewhere. Once our 5 year term is up, we will be looking elsewhere for our renewal and will be going back to a traditional mortgage broker which is what we used on our initial mortgage.

I contacted Nesto for a mortgage. They had the best rate. Contact with them was swift and precise, straight to the point. Eveything is online which I like. So I closed the deal with them ;-) and I am super satisfied.

Le service est rapide. On n'a pas besoin de déplacer à la banque

J’ai eu un bon taux MAIS :

mon conseiller m’a annoncé que mon taux avait changé parce que les délais avant la signature (120 jours) n’étaient pas respectés, délais induit par Nesto. Après avoir argumenté et refusé sa nouvelle proposition, je lui demande de me confirmer que le taux négocié est bel et bien celui qu’il y aura sur mon contrat. Je n’ai jamais eu de réponse. J’ai dû attendre de rencontrer là notaire pour confirmer le taux.

Aussi, Nesto m’a menti en disant qu’il attendait depuis plusieurs semaine le relevé hypothécaire de Desjardins alors que Desjardins m’a confirmé qu’il venait juste d’être demandé.

J’ai perdu de l’argent à cause des délais induits par ce transfert, le pire transfert hypothécaire que je fais depuis que j’ai une maison.

Jamais je ne vais faire affaire avec Nesto.

Je n’aurais même pas mis aucune étoile. C’est vraiment la pire expérience hypothécaire. J’ai dû envoyer plusieurs courriels et pour avoir des réponses à mes questions. Et j’ai dû attendre 1 1/2 mois après l’échéance pour avoir mon Hypotheque
