Cable machines are useless. My local gym swapped to Origin and there were issues with the machines within about 2 weeks. The knobs you pull to adjust the cable heights have come apart on multiple machines meaning some are now stuck at the height it fell apart on. When you exercise, the weight stack binds on its movement making the motion really juddery. This stuff might be alright for beginner, home use but it’s certainly not up to being used in a more professional setting.

Unfortunately I've had a very poor experience with Origin Fitness.

I went to the home gym equipment section of their website, and selected a barbell and the only spring collars listed (wrongly assuming that as they were the only spring collars in the home gym equipment section, that they would fit the barbell).

The delivery arrived today, and the spring collars don't fit. I went on Live Chat and explained the situation, but just received an indifferent reply and no option for resolution aside from to email the returns address. I emailed this address as directed, and received this email:

"A £9.95 collection fee and a 25% restocking fee is applicable to returns. A new order must be placed for the new items. Many thanks."

So to return a £5.99 item, I need to pay £9.95 collection and lose a quarter of the purchase price to boot. I have already paid £9.95 delivery for my order.

This collection and restocking charge is NOT mentioned on their website, which seems unlawful to me. I have screen shots of their website to prove this as no doubt they will quickly add it in!

I will add that I already had to message Origin on their Facebook page as they had delivery as £25 for a barbell!! They said whoops our mistake and amended it to £9.95 - so they would have overcharged (and presumably have been overcharging) customers without batting an eyelid.

Moral of this story - think very carefully before giving your money to Origin Fitness. They overcharge, under deliver, offer no decent customer service, and are not willing to help.

Fantastic company to deal with. Great products. DPD lost my first package, and origin sorted it asap with first class service. Will use again and recommend.

Thee are two ORIGIN rowing machines in the Maybole sports hub gym which HAVE BOTH BROKEN DOWN IN THE FIRST YEAR OF USE in the gym. More importantly is the complete lack of support to repair these machines. In over six months waiting for them to be replaced or repaired no one from Origin has repaired or replaced them. I would assume the machines are under a guarantee. As a frequent user of the gym I certainly would not consider purchasing one of these machines as this company lacks credibility.

Great customer service, Oli Brooks helped us achieve our goals and also did a site visit, to ensure the equipment we ordered would fit in the space that we had. Delivery time was also quick and pricing was cost effective. We are really happy with the product and service we received and will definitely be using Origin again. Thank you

My recent experience with Origin Fitness Equipment has been incredibly disappointing. Upon delivery, both the bar and plates were already rusting. The delivery process was chaotic, with items arriving separately and some being incorrect. The kerbside delivery meant extra hassle. The return process was equally frustrating, requiring me to wrap and deliver heavy items myself. Origin Fitness even refused to accept some rusted items. In comparison, Technogym equipment at home has been far superior in quality and service. Overall, I cannot recommend Origin Fitness due to poor quality and service.

Rhiannon is amazing! Called to find out some information about one of the Origin branded products and she offered to try out the product for me in the showroom prior to online sale and then call me back.

She did as she promised and provided an invaluable service. You cannot find better customer service than this these days.

I will definitely be using Origin again for my fitness equipment needs.

Good products, good price, excellent customer service, had a courier issue which led to part of my order being delayed but customer service sorted it out quickly and without issue or lengthy delays.

Great service and equipment I purchased is great

We are a professional football club who needed new equipment for the gym. We ordered the HEX dumbbells from Origin fitness and have been a great addition. The quality of the product is as good as you will get and during the delivery phase they communicated very well and unlike other companies were on time.

I bought a pair of dumbells. They were easy to order, delivered quickly and reasonably priced. Very good quality product.

Order got lost in transit, then when it arrived the dumbbells were grey not black, replacement sent for 2 pairs,.one pair lost in transit and one pair grey again. No resolution!

Don’t often leave reviews but due to the great customer service I received from the team at origin fitness I thought this one was worth wile. Great bumper plates at a great cost as well.
