My old car headgasket was on its way out but I NEEDED a car to get to work and back and do my errands during the week, I got in touch with these guys feeling worried about not having enough money for a decent car. The guys were so helpful and talked me through a finance package that was really affordable, I got a really nice car, low mileage and affordable. They took my old car off me to send to a scrappage scheme on my behalf and I drove off in my new car. Great service, tailor made service to suit you, no pressure, no hard bargaining... Just professional and friendly. Great Car, great finance package and a 12 month warranty too. I would quite happily recommend these guys to anyone

After scrolling through the internet looking for a first car for my daughter I came across Plympton Car centre and enquired on a vehicle and from the minute I made the phone call I could tell they were a good delarship, Adam was very professional on the phone and booked me in to view the vehicle in question.

When I arrived at Plympton Car centre they was very busy but they took the time to greet me and my daughter as to were I asked for Adam but unfortunately he was with another customer so I dealt with Tyler! Who just like Adam was very professional and put myself and my daughter at ease as we were both nervous about buying a car as my husband usually deals with that kind of thing.

I really don’t understand how this dealership can get bad reviews about their customer service skills!

DO NOT GO HERE! How arrogant can one man be? I think he was the owner too! The way he and the staff treat potential buyers is disgraceful. How they are in business is a mystery .
STAY AWAY ! many more decent car dealers to choose

I would thoroughly recommend PCC, the guys there are always so friendly and helpful and have really looked after myself and my daughter with our car purchases. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I made the mistake of buying a car from them just before December 2018. On the road test, I detected a squeak on the clutch. One of the salesmen took it out and agreed with me, the other one actually handwrote on the sales invoice "squeak on clutch". They kept it for another day, so that their garage, Plympton MOT Centre could fix the problem. The next day, they said that it was all sorted, there wasn't a problem and it would wear off over time. It has carried on squeaking ever since and a local gearbox specialist test-drove it for me. They then wrote a detailed report of the problem, which I took back to Plympton Car Centre, booking in my car for the following week. I took my car to their garage (Plympton MOT Centre) on the appointed day and received a call a few hours later, informing me that there "was no fault" and there "was no squeak". A mechanic from the gearbox specialist (the one who had written the report) then went with me to Plympton MOT Centre to explain further, but no mechanic came to speak to us - the "boss" didn't even have the decency to leave his office, but rather, sent a gopher to relay messages. The gearbox mechanic pointed out that a bearing in the gearbox was faulty and that was affecting the clutch - the message from the "boss" was, "We're not budging." Every time they say they will get back to me, they never do. I have now had to go to Trading Standards, who in the first instance advised me to ask them for a copy of their complaints procedure. They have no complaints procedure.

By the way, don't bother trying to submit a negative, or low rated, review on their website, as they don't include those - that would be too honest: I did, it isn't on there.

In response to the reply below: You have - for a second time - deliberately ignored the report made by the gearbox specialist, Bradley. When he and I came to your office, you wouldn't even come out and speak to us face to face. Bradley offered to take you out in the car and show you the problem, but you refused. The squeak is a symptom of a bigger problem (an input bearing), which you are choosing to ignore and which will cause serious damage to the gearbox if left unfixed. Your answer to us was "Wait until it breaks." Well, I'm sorry, but expecting me to drive a faulty car "until it breaks" before you will do anything about it is unacceptable. The squeak is still present - it happened for Bradley, it happened for your salesman and it happens for me on a daily basis. As your actions have more than thrown doubt on your honesty, then I fail to believe that it didn't happen for you. Just like the professional report from a professional gearbox specialist, you chose to ignore it.

UPDATE: Trading Standards have been advising me on this matter, but so far, no response has been received from PCC. Soon, it will become urgent to get this problem fixed and PCC, but I will be able to include this cost as part of my claim, if PCC continue to ignore the issue.

UPDATE: After Plympton Car Centre actually offering to buy the car back from me (again by one of the staff, not the boss - even though his reply below this review said he would be happy to speak to me), rather than just fix a small problem (who does business like this??), the car was fixed by Devon Gearbox Centre Ltd, because they actually know about gearboxes. They invoiced Plympton Car Centre and they did actually pay up. So, all my thanks go to Devon Gearbox Centre Ltd for sorting this out and sticking to their guns, even when pressured to go along with what Stewart said (he rang them).

I had an absolutely excellent experience at Plympton. Really helpful staff, great car and no pressure at all during the viewing. Would definitely recommend!

I can honestly say that the staff at Plympton Car Centre are fantastic.
From the second I made contact over Facebook they were friendly, courteous and helpful.
We originally chose PCC because of their reputation and we traveled two hours to get there. We were not disappointed.
They made very effort to help us in our quest for finding the right car and they made the whole thing very easy. The after sales service is also impeccable.

I cant recommend them highly enough.

We cannot thank these guys enough. Extremely welcoming, lovely atmosphere and lovely all through out the transaction. Always offering tea, coffee and biscuits. They even gave our 10 year old daughter a wrapped present from under their Christmas tree in the office (a chocolate selection box)! They were extremely patient with the finance company we used and carried on smiling until we left. They weren't pushy at all, gave us a chance to check the car out without being talked at. We will definitely go back to these guys for our next car.
