Customer service wow factor!
I ordered from this company and everything went exactly the way it was meant to, I called to make an enquiry and order and I am amazed that the person on the other side of the phone Dawn had the best customer service I have had, she was human, happy, full of life and a real credit to the company, a secret weapon in customer service. Call ended with everything I had queries about answered, items ordered and a great conversation. Will definitely order again just for that great customer service!

I have been buying from Garden Selections for many years and have always been satified with the service received. They offer great products at competitive prices, even cheaper when on promotion.
Anything from garden furniture to wildlife products, Selections is the first place I check out.

Poor customer services on damaged goods
Item purchased from Garden Selections via Amazon Marketplace. The item arrived damaged (crushed) so I repackaged the item and contacted them. Although they were quick to respond, they demanded photographic evidence before taking the matter further. Why, am I making this up?
The company does not seem to understand the laws about Distance Selling Regulations and the Consumer Rights Act when supplying faulty products. How hard is it to arrange for the damaged item to be picked up without quibbling about evidence?

Dear Andrew, we are very disappointed to receive your response. We are very conscious of our legal responsibilities regarding the Distance Selling Regulations and the Consumer Rights Act and work closely with Trading Standards to ensure that we adhere to these and many other guidelines that are relevant to ecommerce retailers. We also take our responsibilities towards customers very seriously and work extremely hard to exceed customer service expectations.
In this case, we did as you say, respond quickly and asked for a photograph of the damage that your parcel had sustained. Having read all the correspondence, I can say that the team were polite and professional and adhered to company policy which outlines that evidence must be requested so that appropriate action can be taken promptly. This is in no way a reflection on you and absolutely no thought was given to the possibility of lies being told or this being a false complaint. The team simply wanted to resolve the issue for you as quickly as possible.
Firstly, we like to try and minimise customer inconvenience and if we can see the item is very badly damaged, will advise disposal to avoid the customer having to go to the effort of returning the goods. Secondly, with photographic evidence, we can immediately authorise a replacement without having to wait for the goods to be returned. So the customer can be in receipt of perfect replacement goods within 24 hours. Thirdly, the couriers require photographic evidence of any reported damage to the goods and packaging, within 3 working days of receipt. Therefore we cannot wait until the item is returned to us or the deadline will be missed and damage claim denied.
We usually find that the provision of photograph damage evidence works well for customers as it helps to resolve any issue very quickly without incurring time delays and inconvenience. We are very sorry to hear that the policy has caused offence on this occasion but hope this explanation helps to clarify our actions and that we can now resolve the issue for you promptly.
