Amazing staff
Recently put a large order in for some custom labels. Due to barcode artwork issues on my end, the process took much longer than I hope for (100% our fault). Suzanne at BW couldn't have been more helpful and understanding. She understood the issues I was having, but also the time frame I was working too. Once i was able to finally get everything to her, my labels were delivered in super fast time.
Absolutely fantastic service, Suzanne and the team are brilliant. Thank you.

I bought a till
I bought a till, printer and scanner. The till had different connections to the printer so would not work and the scanner did not work with my software as it advertised. No answer when calling and I had to chase twice to organise a return. I then get a snotty email telling me Ii need to photograph everything with and without its packaging before they would allow me to return it! And a warning if it was not in perfect condition they would send it back to me and not refund! They seemingly have a horrendous returns policy and don't abide by Consumer Contracts Regulations 2014 so a report will go into Trading Standards. Total cowboys, I would avoid at all costs and use someone with a decent customer service.

Apologies but we have no record of a missed call from you prior to you making contact yesterday at 3:17pm. We cannot see any of your 'chases' either. We replied within 15 mins.
I'm sorry that you thought our email was snotty. That was not our intention. We simply require images prior to raising an RMA as some customers initiate a return saying a product has not been opened when it clearly has. Everyone is asked to provide the same.
We cannot accept any returns unless products are in an unopened condition. This is so we could restock and sell to another customer. You cannot buy products from our website for testing and expect a full refund.
Thank you very much for your web order of a cash drawer, barcode scanner and printer. We are not in control of the compatibility of Shopify. If you had contacted us first we could have assisted. You don't connect a label printer to a cash drawer; you would connect to a PC to print labels. A USB barcode scanner would only work with a compatible USB hub setup or Android tablet according to the Shopify manual. People on iOS use the Socket scanner which you would have seen on the web page you were looking at. Cash drawers are linked to receipt printers and it is the receipt printer which triggers it to open.
You are a business just like we are. You have purchased these products for business use (we do not sell to consumers) and so no consumer regulations relating to returns would apply. When checking out online you agreed to our terms and conditions, including the returns policy.
We would still be very happy to help you get up and running if you would speak to our tech support team and confirm what setup you have and are trying to connect everything to.
Similarly, the Shopify website does have a very comprehensive help website detailing how to use these hardware items. If you do need a Bluetooth scanner and receipt printer, we'd also be happy to do this at a reduced rate to make up for any inconvenience.

Spoke to a lovely chap called Tom L-I in the Sales Team (can't give full name but it'll be obvious to the company). He was friendly, helpful and bent over backwards to sort out the problem with my printer driver. Very knowledgeable and tried several solutions before it worked at last. Saved me so much time. Much appreciated and an example of great customer service.

Very Disappointing Experience with The Barcode Warehouse
I sent my scanner to The Barcode Warehouse for repair, and the experience was very disappointing. They quoted me £406 for the repair, which is about the same price as buying two second-hand scanners. I declined the repair and asked for my device to be returned, but then they demanded £58 just to send it back.
I find this policy unfair and unreasonable, charging such a high return fee when no repair has been done is not good customer service. I would not recommend this company based on my experience.

We are sorry that you were disappointed with your experience.
We do make our assessment fees and return shipping charges extremely clear on our website before carrying out any work. You would have agreed to these prior to us receiving the scanner for inspection so do not agree that anything we have done is unfair or unreasonable. We cannot inspect faulty kit for free as it takes some time and expertise.
In terms of the repair cost; we have to use original spares and obviously mark these up by a small amount and add a labour cost.
This is not comparable with finding and buying something on an auction website which might also need a repair or have been previously repaired with non-original parts.
We do source certified refurbished kit for our customers regularly if that would be of interest.

Ignore the negative reviews
Bought a zebra barcode printer at about 40% cheaper than elsewhere. I almost didn't bother after reading the reviews here but I'm so glad i ignored them. I knew exactly what model I wanted and bought it. It came exactly as described and delivery was quick. The machine is now installed and working perfectly. Would not hesitate to buy another product from here. Obviously if you're just buying something to test, you should do this with your own money and not expect barcode warehouse to pay you for that service!

By the time item arrived we had rectified the issue so immediately re-boxed the item for return to then be told it hadn’t been returned in a resealable state (it hadn’t been out of the box!!) Wish I had checked on TrustPilot prior to purchasing as I can see this is a common complaint of customers using Barcode Warehouse.

Your review states that that 'it hadn't been out of the box' but also that you 'immediately re-boxed the item'. Our terms are very clear in that we do not accept returns unless the goods are defective. You requested a return stating that the goods were unsuitable and when we inspected the printer, there were marks on the front.
At our discretion, we will obviously try to resolve any customer mistakes but the goods must be in unopened condition. This is so that we can confidently restock the item and sell again without causing any problems for the next buyer. Our own suppliers, i.e. Epson and their distributors, will not accept returns if the box has been opened. Our terms are typical for B2B transactions.

Good experience with customer service
Good experience with customer service. We had a Zebra label printer that developed a fault after a number of months purchasing it, Barcode Warehouse took the printer back and fixed it fairly quickly - either they or Zebra forgot to put the power and USB cables we sent with the machine but very promptly sent replacements once notified.
Overall happy with their service

DO NOT BUY PERMANANT LABELS
DO NOT BUY PERMANANT LABELS. Barcode warehouse adhesive is not permanent and wont stick to your boxes. If you are using their labels to ship with you risk your products getting lost because the labels peel off!

Our company started in 1987 and has been a manufacturer of self-adhesive labels ever since. We supply all types of labels, tickets and tags. We do manufacture quality labels for the logistics market and sell these to some of the largest companies around. Our permanent labels are permanent. We are ISO-accredited and take quality and consistency of supply very seriously. Any non-conformances would be investigated fully. The supply of consumables makes up around 10% of our £60M annual revenues and so there is a full, expert-led team ensuring that we are proud of what we supply daily to our valued customers.
You purchased one box of Zebra-branded, permanent labels from our website (i.e. not “Barcode Warehouse adhesive” and not manufactured by us). As far as we are aware you have received the correct labels but you just want to return them.
We sell multiple boxes of these labels every week and have done for many years. You are the first to complain about their performance. We are Zebra’s largest partner for their ZipShip media.
We would obviously be very happy to supply you with alternative labels which are more permanent and/or suited for your application.

very bad service about return policy
i bought a printer from here and after I buy I tried to connect my payment app but did work because does not support to my device then I tried to return machine was perfect condition because I just try to connect only 15-20 minutes. I send machine back I paid 20 pound for return and their answer machine condition is not good for re sale. i took pictures before i send there is no damage at my photos but photos they send me there is some damage. this is redicules. never again.

Thank you for your purchase of a Sunmi receipt printer from our website back in January.
We are very sorry that you are unhappy with our returns clause. We are obviously allowed to choose our policy and our terms are not dissimilar, in this respect, to any other of the other thousands of B2B resellers in the wider marketplace. You agreed to our terms when checking out. Saying ‘I don’t think I need it anymore’ is not an allowable reason to initiate an RMA.
On this occasion, however, I can see that the team did try to use their discretion when you stated that your product was in unused condition. However, on receipt and inspection of the goods there were clear signs (as sent to you in images) that your product had been out of the box. We then had to send your printer to you (again) at our expense.
We cannot restock and then resell an item to another valued customer unless it is in unopened condition for obvious reasons.
Customers are supposed to ensure compatibility with their software provider (or indeed ask our sales team for advice) prior to ordering to avoid situations like this.
