I hired this company to deep clean 3 shower rooms, one toilet and kitchen. I paid them £325. This was the worst service ever. They do not understand the conceit of deep clean and the two cleaners who came couldn’t speak a word of English. They advertise grout cleaning in the bathroom and none of it was done. They also left a toilet without cleaning it. What a waste of money, do not hire this company.

DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE, they lie! the cleaners were OK but.. I had booked them for a deep clean for my fathers house for a 1pm. I had driven down from London and got a call at 12.55pm to say the cleaners had 'been delayed'. They finally arrived at 4.30pm, they had not been delayed they had pushed another job in front of mine, the cleaner showed me his schedule. Terrible people could not organise the correct time although this was booked a month in advance.

I paid for a "deep clean" costing over £500. Before the cleaners left, they asked me to check.

The first thing I noticed was the partially cleaned toilet, I asked him for his cloth to prove they did not do a good job. He just watched me wipe it clean. I showed him the dust on the doors & he told me that my house was very dusty. Hey! That's what I am paying you for - right? But I doubt if he understood me.

After they left 4 hours later, I went about the house & was appalled to find out that they had not done any dusting in one of the bedrooms. I found they did not wipe down or clean one of the bedroom window sills. The bathroom window sill was cleaned partially & the items on the sill were piled up! They moved stuff and did not put it back in its place. The toilet was NOT cleaned properly. The desk in the conservatory was not dusted neither was the chair. So many surfaces were left with dust. I had to clean the doors, tvs, etc.

Behind the fireplace was not touched neither was the dining table!! The fireplace was cleaned only in the front!!

Terrible, terrible job. A job badly done for the price. I do not recommend Cleaning Gurus - they are anything BUT!!!!

I went to put bottles, plastic,etc in the dedicated bin & guess what....the cleaners put their "mop" cardboard box, a plastic bin bag of rubbish and paper in the bin that clearly states plastic, glass & tin!! They are supposed to take the rubbish with them!

The cleaners do not speak English so difficult to communicate.

Wasted good money £500+ after bad & shoddy work. Cleaning Gurus only want to refund me £70! The office sent an invoice of £223.20 & I was told I have to pay the cleaners in CASH £344. Cleaning Gurus & Guru Cleaning are the same company because their invoice states 'Guru Cleaning!! Be aware folks.

My advice - please, please be careful of Cleaning Gurus - complete RIP OFF!

I had accepted a quote of £561 for a deep clean of my 3-bedroom house. Two cleaners arrived early, and despite my ongoing Zoom meetings, I let them in. They started working on the upstairs area and later asked me to check their work. Unfortunately, it was evident that a deep clean had not been performed as expected. Several areas, such as the tops of doors, the area behind the toilet cistern, and under the beds, had not been properly cleaned. Additionally, they did not change the bed clothing, even though this had been discussed and agreed upon during the booking call.

The situation escalated further when I discovered that one of the rooms had not been cleaned, as the cleaners claimed that my 16-year-old son had instructed them not to bother. I was deeply shocked and offended by this claim. In response, I promptly contacted the office to address the issue. However, the ensuing exchange was unhelpful and characterised by a negative and uncooperative attitude from their representatives. As a resolution, your company offered to not charge me an additional £341 but would be keeping the initial £220 deposit I paid. Yes you read that correctly £220 for a DOMESTIC style clean,

Considering the time the cleaners spent on-site, I have paid an exorbitant rate of over £75 per hour, while my regular cleaner charges £15 per hour for similar services. I initially provided the company with the opportunity to reconsider their position before taking further action, but unfortunately, they declined this opportunity and also stated that there were 5 rooms cleaned. This is 100% untrue as they only did 2 bedrooms out of 3 and 1 bathroom out of 2.

Given the circumstances, I feel it is my duty to warn potential customers about the substandard quality of service they can expect from this company. I strongly advise others to avoid engaging with their services at all costs.

Bad management. You can’t rely on them to have a regular clenner at home. Same day at the last minute inform cleanner won’t come because they are ill. But when you talk with the cleaner next week, they confirm she inform with more days in advanced.

Great customer services and management of cleaners.

Unreliable, appalling, unacceptable services. The other reviews also second that!

I have engaged with cleaning gurus on 4 occasions in the past. They do not have any experienced/ reliable/ long term cleaners and are always pulling out at the last moment. The first cleaner they sent arrived over half an hour late- no courtesy call/ message to inform me of the delay. Subsequently they have now put a disclaimer that the cleaners have an (whole!) one hour window for arrival - does this mean I need to free myself for 5 hours and not plan any other activity taking into consideration this unacceptable one hour window margin, for a 3 hour job? Nevertheless, the lady who arrived late, had to leave an hour early as she had other planned activities. Which meant I had to finish her left over jobs for the day- mopping of the whole house! The second occasion was fine but it was a repeat for the third. After this, I was advised she left and no longer works for them- I was informed of this at a short notice when I am certain they were aware of this for quite sometime as the cleaner repeatedly spoke of another take away restaurant job she had which was keeping her busy. I was also advised she was a reliable cleaner with plenty of experience behind her- regarding the experience, the lady herself told it was only recently that she commenced the cleaning job. And most definitely she wasn’t reliable, the delayed attendances and leaving the job at such a short notice speaks for itself. Also reflects lies and deception from the company for sake of making quick money. They booked another cleaner for me for the next occasion, whom they canceled (on the day before!) advising that the lady had health issues and no longer works for them! Such poor appalling services- cleaning gurus send you a humongous contract /terms when you hire them which has extensive descriptions about the cancellation policy. They are ready to charge/ sue you (going by the contract) for the slightest of reasons, however they hold no responsibility for the undue inconvenience they cause to the clients due to their very last minute cancellations. Pathetic work ethics, unprofessional and unreliable. Cleaning gurus you should consider having a termination contract with your cleaners so that they don’t leave you at such a short notice (a day??) and in turn cause inconvenience to the clients.

Edit (9.3.23)- in reply to your reply, of course she did a good job (on the second occasion alone), that doesn’t disregard the fact that on the first occasion, she left half the jobs undone as she was running late, she also left 30 mins early, and I had to mop the floors and finish up the pending jobs after. She doesn’t use a public transport. She was dropped off and picked up by her family on all three occasions (proof on my CCTV). Please don’t quote lies and falsely defend your position! It is basic courtesy to inform in case of delays, the long delays were unacceptable. You do not have any reliable long term cleaners which probably reflects that none of your cleaners are happy with your terms and conditions.

I have had another company came to clean , after they left there were not a mark on the cream carpets all cleaned beautifully and house smells fresh and clean
I did not get back to the cleaning guru because they didn’t want to hear anything I was complaining, didn’t wanted to refund any money at all
Could not converse with a cleaner as she hardly spoke English
I was so stressed and angry could not cope with their attitude
STILL CAN NOT BELIEVE THAT I HAVE BEEN CONNED FOR £300 OUCH !!!!

It's difficult to grade this company because they didn't suit my needs but that doesn't make them bad.

I wanted a weekly basic house clean, eg, surfaces and floors, that type of thing, but the cleaner was more of a perfectionist.

She was friendly, honest, keen to help and hard working. However, I think she would've been more comfortable with more time to do more deep cleaning.

The service didn't suit my needs but if you're after a deep clean I'd imagine they'd suit you well.

Excellent communication and confirmation.

Cleaner came and confidently got on - she did an excellent job.

I only needed a one off clean but will definitely use their services in the future.

I would really blown away by the service of Cleaning Gurus from the customer service to the cleaner it was fab! The cleaner did a wonderful job and is always so caring and really has great attention to detail! I’m so happy I have finally found a great company that I can rely on! I would highly recommend them!

I use the cliners of Cleaning Gurus regularily and and I am very satisfyed with the service. Even if new cleaners are coming to me house, they are all trained and experienced.
It is very easy to book a cleaning service and everyone is very polite.

The team did a fantastic job cleaning our 2 bedroom flat in South-West London. The team arrived right on time, were very friendly, and the flat has never been cleaner! We will definitely be using their services again.

Booked end of tenancy cleaning for two bedroom flat with additional service to clean blinds. Three cleaners turned up to clean when I came back after work to check the quality I couldn't be more disappointed. It didn't look as if cleaning was done at all. Tried contacting them on a day there was no response, left them a message but no-one got back to me next morning so I had to call them again. The only reason I'm giving them 2 stars not 1 is the professionalism of the ladies on the phone they were very helpful and professional. They managed to rebook someone to come and clean before landlord was coming. Unfortunately the 2 cleaners that turned up were not happy to be there at all. One who first went into the flat with me so I could show him around later refused to go back to clean and help. Shouting over the phone in different language not communicating with me I had to call the office to get information he should provide me with. I also provided them with around 10 hours worth of permit so they could park in front of the flat on a first day and apparently they've lost it so parked on yellow line hence one cleaner had to stay in a car so they don't get a parking ticket. After they left the cleaning was not to the high standards as they advertise the blinds still not cleaned, inside the build in cupboards not even touched, counter tops in the kitchen looked worst than before the clean....I've asked one of the cleaners they should go back to finish but they've just drove off. I would definitely not be using them again and won't be recommending their services....lots of stress and headache.

End of tenancy clean was done by 2 people but left the majority of the house still dirty, with cupboards, the oven and surfaces unclean. The clean did not pass the check out and disgusted the estate agent and landlord who have held back our deposit. As with most rented properties the landlord and estate agent refused the reclean that was offered by the company due to new tenants moving in - this is 100% acceptable as you want to trust a good company to clean your property. The company has now refused to refund us, even though legally they are obliged to. A company that doesn’t refund its customers when they are in the wrong and doesn’t pay it’s taxes correctly deserves to be challenged to ensure tenants in the future don’t pay the brunt - thankfully enough solicitors in the family to support this.

In my 27 years as a landlord, this is the worst cleaning company I’ve come across. Cobwebs left throughout at high level, not cleaned behind very lightweight cupboards a child could move, scratched up expensive integrated microwave, serious damage to quartz worktop by using abrasive materials/cleaning products. None of the floors were cleaned properly. Refused to send a different team to rectify. Refused to take responsibility for damage, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Very bad service. Cleaners first asked to double the price when arrived and even broke our cupboard door, pretending nothing happened. Very unprofessional cleaning service.

We've been using cleaning gurus for over 5 months and very happy with the service and our cleaning lady Robia. We receive prompt communication and responses from CG whenever we need to make changes. The cleaning lady is consistent, on time and does a great job. It's a huge relief compared to previous cleaners we've used.

It has been over a year that we have been using Cleaning Gurus and we are delighted with the cleaning lady Irena and how efficient and reliable she is! My house turns out brilliant every time she comes in! She does every task exactly as you ask her and additionally very kind and respectful! This means a lot for me.
