Editing this review again so people can get the full picture. I never like leaving negative reviews, but I genuinely wish I’d known how Topps Tiles treat their customers before spending so much of my money with them.

I ordered the exact same tiles twice within a week. The price increased dramatically, only to drop again days later, leaving me around £500 worse off. They call this a “promotion”, but to me it felt more like a price hike than a genuine offer. The timing and fluctuations felt incredibly misleading.

I deal with customers every single day, and I would never treat someone this way. I wasn’t asking for special treatment, I simply wanted them to understand how unfair and misleading the experience felt. Instead, I was told to return tiles that were already laid, with absolutely no goodwill or understanding.

On top of that, an entire pack arrived smashed, their order tracking was useless, and my original review was rejected from their website because it discussed customer service rather than just the product.

Their response has been nothing but a repetition of company policy, completely missing the point.

I would never dream of treating my own customers like this. It’s not just about the £500, it’s about honesty, trust and basic customer care.

We have plenty more renovating to do, but I won’t be spending another penny with Topps Tiles. I only wish I’d known all this before ordering, because I would have gone elsewhere.

Anth, Kyle, and the rest of the lads that work at Topps Tiles Darlington have been first class with me the moment I stepped through the door. The customer service they have given me far exceeded what I expected. I am just starting out my journey on becoming a tiler and a tiling business owner. The advise offered and support given does not go unnoticed. Given the above once my business begins to grow there is only one place I will be recommending my customer purchase their tiles... Prompt, efficient and knowledgeable staff. Helpful and attentive even if dealing with another customer, found a way of politely including you. Energetic and positive response of staff - nothing is too much trouble.

Brilliant service, great customer service very helpful staff

In-store experience was fine, staff helpful and order placed for delivery (charge made for delivery). Delivery did not arrive on specified day. Phoned store, apparently an IT issue whereby my order was not forwarded to warehouse. Hmmm. Tiler had to be delayed. Delivery could not be made for another 6 days. Not happy, and apology from store member rather lukewarm.

We had such a lovely experience choosing tiles for our outside steps, and we really have to mention Louise, who was absolutely fantastic.From the moment we walked into the shop, in Shawfield Rutherglen Louise made my husband and me feel so welcome. She was extremely friendly, patient and knowledgeable, and took the time to work through our measurements with us to make sure we ordered exactly what we needed.
She also gave us great advice on which grout colour would be best for outsidesteps, which was something we hadn’t even considered. Nothing was too much trouble for her, and she genuinely went above and beyond to help us.It’s so refreshing to receive such friendly and personal customer service. Louise is a real credit to the shop, and we would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for tiles and advice.

The staff in Tops Tiles Mortlake, were amazing. They went out of their way to help me. Nicky’s knowledge of tiles and finishing was second to none. He helped me finalise decisions and solve technical problems. I would highly recommend this store!

I would be very careful with Topps Tiles Ruislip.Given a quote 5 dats approx prior.I ring in to pay and they are meant to send me an email to do payment.I get nothing,call back and they say price has gone up .I had until 26 th September at the price given and they tried it on in advance.There are better organisations than these people

The staff at Commercial Road, Ipswich were both knowledgeable, helpful and friendly.

I have an account with Topps tiles, and have used them around the country for years.This morning I called in for some materials I Yeovil. There were no other customers, and only seemed to be one member of staff, who seemed to be on a personal call on his mobile. He ignored me for a full ten minutes, he wandered in and out of the back of the store, no I'll be with you in a minute, or apologies. So I left my items on his counter and left. There are plenty of tile shops in Yeovil, so I used another, and will in the future. Time is money, and I won't be wasting mine there anymore.

The guys here give a brilliant service and are always friendly and accommodating, I have used Topps Tiles for a number of years and I found that the quality and range of products is as good as it gets.
I most definitely would recommend Topps Tiles at Loughborough to anyone as I am confident enough to say that you will leave the store satisfied that my recommendation was Topps.

Very disappointed with the ethics they use as sales people.
Been looking for adhesive and found on line from Topps exactly what I required for around £18 a 20 kg bag.
When I went to pay she was charging me £113 for 4 bags !?!?
I said that the online price was around £17.
All of a sudden it was reduced to £68!!
So £47 cheaper.
Trade or not as it doesn’t seem to matter.
You basically thought I was a novice, a dumb idiot and I’d accept the rip off price you first gave me!
Disgusting and won’t be using you guys again.

Topps Tiles clearly have a culture built around exceptional customer service and this has been evident through the multiple stores I have visited. All of their staff cannot do enough for you from the moment you walk through the doors. Exceptional for such a large business!

Went into the Newark store at the weekend and was greeted by lovely staff members especially Ben. He gave lots of good advice and helped make choosing our tiles so much easier, going above and beyond to load them up for us and helped take them to our car
