Stayed at Heythrop Park. Was a very expensive two night stay and I’m afraid it wasn’t worth it! Food was average, drinks extortionate, wanted £20 to reserve seats for entertainment because it wasn’t b... Ver más

You can't get through on the chat or to speak to someone by phone, it lets Warner down, no customer service as far as admin is concerned.
The staff were great , the entertainment team very friendly , worked really hard and are very talented. The food was mostly excellent, lots of choice and plenty of it . The rooms clean and the gr... Ver más

Customer service inconsistent
I telephone to add two visitors from Canada to my dining group for Holm Lacy in July yesterday and the last who dealt with the call was very helpful and Did it with no problem .
The couple from Canada today decide to book to come to Lakeside with us in August so I again phoned and made the same request a lady named Uzma informed me that it could not be done ??
I explained that the exact same request was done by phone the previous day so obviously it could be done ,she then told me it was because of data protection? I explained that I had all their
details so she did not have any data to reveal to me.As a regular visitor to Warmers I am extremely disappointed with her attitude and poor customer service .seriously thinking of giving Potters our custom in future in fact already booked two breaks with them
Not up to expectations
On arriving at Bodelwyddan Castle we were told that the towels wouldn't be changed on the first day after arrival but they would be on the next day. I told the receptionist at lunchtime on Sunday that our towels hadn't been changed, and she assured me they would be between 3.00 and 4.00. At 6.00 they still hadn't been changed and I had to ask again. Not good for a supposed 5 star rating. I wasn't happy to have a buffet style main course, and assumed we would have table service. There is insufficient capacity in the theatre, and we were told that we would have to pay an exra £10 per person to reserve a table. You also have to pay extra for leisure activities. I thought the whole ethos of Warner hotels was to provide an all inclusive package. Obviously not. I shan't be going again to Bodelwyddan Castle! Possibly another Warner hotel, possibly not.On a positive note the staff were friendly and helpful.

Return to free archery and rifle shooting
Return to the old policy of booking a table for the evening entertainment
Prices getting higher, service getting less.
Prices are getting higher and services are getting less.
When asked why our room was not cleaned on the first full day we got told that customers said they preferred not to have it cleaned and we could just chill out on that day without being disturbed by the cleaner.....what a load of nonsense.
Then we had no drinks table service as there was no staff ! sSo there were ques at the bar and people with mobility issues also had to queue been carry their own drinks back.
They are now charging for archery and rifle shooting as they said people weren't turning up so if they charged you it will make sure people turn up ....again a load of nonsense.
Booking in advance I'm now finding that they then reduce up to £100 per person just for a weekend. That's £400 we could have saved for the 4 of us.
I have message them and told them how disappointed I am about how their service is going down here and they are not at all interested.
This was at Littlecote
Location and views stunning facilities awful
Location and views stunning. 5*
Facilities and space 5*
Room cleaning 1*
Food 2*
Friendliness of staff 4*
I have just returned from a break at Bembridge hotel. It’s such a shame that Warners are downgrading facilities but increasing prices. None of the phones worked in the room, so if you had any issues you had to go to reception, which was a long walk. They now only do the first room ‘clean’ from the second day!! So a 2 night stay would mean no cleaning at all. The rooms weren’t vacuumed at all while we were there. The requests for items from reception did not appear throughout the whole of the holiday. A request on the first evening ignored until the last evening of the holiday, despite 4 requests. Apparently Warner no longer make beds. Their new policy is just to today the duvet!!! Even 3* hotels make beds properly. Unfortunately it means we will never go there again and it’s such a shame because the views are stunning
Always enjoyed my breaks at Warner.
Always enjoyed my breaks at Warner.
Have to say warners have deteriorated…
Have to say warners have deteriorated even more since January 2025 ! We have just retuned from a 4 night stay early April where we found the rooms are not cleaned properly plus 1off4 days missed completely!
No breakfast menu for added choice but was told there would be a different ‘special’ each day which was salty dry kippers on the first morning & the same thereafter!!
Understand cuts have too be made but Warners going a bit too far!
cancelled booking process
previous holiday cancelled due to illness, tried to rebook for later date, cheaper to cancel ( with holiday protection) and rebook afresh, they no longer have a price promise.
Warners do not do refunds but any money is held in holding account pending a new booking.
Not a very customer friendly process, unable to recommend
Just back from Sinah…
We have just arrived back from Sinah Warren and we have to say how disappointing it was.
The beds and pillows in 105 were very uncomfortable. We had a double glazed window that was blown and you couldn't see through it. The carpet in the room was torn and rippled a complete trip hazard.
The food was very monotonous with the same veg and roast potatoes every evening, the meat was very tough.
There were no bananas for the whole weekend and the tomatoes served at breakfast and in the salad area were green.
One good evening of entertainment but the other two over the weekend were very unappealing.
The seating public area was dirty and they did not clean the tables.
Warners service since COVID has not been good, but they are now more expensive now for less.
Warner hotels are not value for money anymore.
Unfortunately I have booked Norton Grange sometime ago, so I have one more stay to endure. Let's hope they are better than the stays that I have had in recent times at Sinah Warren and Cricket St Thomas.
Bembridge accomodation is acceptable but the food is always like all Warners:
Chicken on a Friday
Turkey on a Saturday
Beef on a Sunday
All served with unappealing veg and roast potatoes and all meat was very tough.
Warners you need to spend money on your hotels and your food variety.
Warner hotels have deteriorated very…
Warner hotels have deteriorated very much since COVID. The price, just for a reservation, has spiralled tremendously and facilities have become less and less.
Having just returned from a three night break at Sinah Warren I was extremely disappointed with the food which in most cases was tasteless and very uninviting.
Pillows and mattress on the bed was extremely uncomfortable being hard and lumpy.
Entertainment was very poor, but having said that the main event, which was the reason it was booked, was very good. As for the other two nights why bother.
This has been the case at other hotels too. I cannot see how they can justify these prices for the poor service they are providing.
A lot of the hotel needs updating, ie windows need replacing along with furniture and carpets.
Cleanliness in the public rooms certainly needs looking into.
Under occupancy charged for single people needs addressing especially with all the monies they make from customers.
All in all a lot to be desired.
Similar experience to another recent…
Similar experience to another recent review on this site.Unsympathetic customer service if you have to cancel your booking however exceptional the circumstances. They simply refer you to their Terms & Conditions heavily weighted in their favour. They refuse to provide any credit towards a future break and refuse to provide any refund for food not consumed. Do not value loyalty.
Poor response We had booked a 2 night stay at Nidd…
We had booked a 2 night stay at Nidd Hall from 6 to 8th January 2025. Unfortunately a blizzard struck and we were unable to get there. I phoned the "help desk" on Tuesday and requested either a change of date or at least some token credit towards a future booking. Neither was available . I pointed out that the invoice had stated that there was £136 of food but we were unable to eat anything. Whilst obviously it was not their fault for the snow but neither was it mine but I had paid in full for what amounted to nothing.
I sent 2 emails about this but didn't receive a reply. In desperation I sent a letter, enclosing prints of my emails, to Paul Pomroy and eventually received a phone call from customer service saying " your loss as we can do nothing"
A token appreciation of the circumstances would have been greatly appreciated but sadly non existing.

Seems to me that Trust Pilot only print bad reviews and some people have gone to great lengths to put their point across !!
We’ve just had a wonderful 7 night experience at Holme Lacy and can’t fault anything, great staff, great food, entertainment and grounds.
Very comfortable standard room albeit the decor was a little tired in places. We are seasoned travellers and Warners is way up there for us..

Alvaston Hall-Lovely building and a nice setting. Room acceptable but a long walk to the Grove restaurant. The entertainment was very good, enjoyable. The food was mediocre. The presentation of the food was not good and although the menus looked good the quality was not there. Meat slices very thick and some of the'deli' meats and salads were poor. No additional sauces, oils pickles except for a small pot of mayonnaise. Sent back a burnt cheesecake desert only to receive the same again. Some staff unaware how to treat the paying customer. If in the hospitality industry be hospitable!! One of the chefs spotted something in a 'deli' salad and promply scooped it out with his fingers! Empty serving bowls/platters were not spotted and replemished. One that did arrive the gammon ham was literally thrown on in a heap. Some finesse there. Not impressed at all. Warners are a large company and have huge buying power yet some of the food is mediocre to say the least, One more point, toasties at iunch time were not good dumped on the plate no garnish no style, fatty meat. A disappointing break.
Customer experience
My husband booked a 3 night break away for us as a Christmas gift surprise for me, we have been customers of Warners for the past 40 years and stayed at most of their locations.
Unfortunately, before our most recent booking he forgot to add insurance to our booking, and 3 days before the arrival date was rushed to A&E (Darenth Valley Hospital) prove available with serious breathing problems.
I tried to either cancel or rebook the break away. Because I personally had not made the booking, I was told over the phone that they needed to speak to my husband personally, in spite of the fact that he was on oxygen and had a mask on. It apparently was data protection! They insisted this was the only way forward.
Customer support then refused to help us, due to we had not taken out their insurance. So we were unable to make another booking when and if my husband gets well enough. So this experience has caused great upset and a financial loss of nearly £500. He is neatly 79 years old! Very disappointed with Warners customer care and support.
We booked a Midweek Variety break at…
We booked a Midweek Variety break at Alvaston Hall to see if there was any dancing and our worst fears were realised. There were no social dances in the afternoons and the band (the Blackjacks are great musicians) are becoming very predictable. We only got 30mins of line dance teaching and it is always the same electric slide and cowboy charleston which everybody knows anyway. The band did the electric slide every night and always start jigging with Da do Ron Ron!. So if you are a dancer don't bother.
A great New Year
I have a feeling this feedback could go on a bit.
What a wonderful New Year Break at Warners Littlecote House. The atmosphere of the whole weekend was fantastic, we booked with Jacky for New Year next year before we left on Thursday. What a helpful lady with suggestions for our next stays, and we took her up on her recommendations for a further two bookings.
In fact, everyone was happy, friendly and cheerful even the ground staff who were busy trying to take the decorations down when we asked them questions. The trees in the Great Hall and the Coffee shop were exceptional. We even managed a photo of us in the great hall at one o’clock New Years day courtesy of the security guard who was amazed to find two people sitting in the Great Hall that time of the night just soaking up the ambience. All the other trees seemed to be all very corporate, a bit samey with no individual aspects at all.
It was for us the staff and the work they did that made the holiday for us. The Entertainment team Katie, Steve, Gemma, James, Joe and Rachael had me crying tears of joy into my beer with the Panto. Gemma and Carla Jade were excellent in their Dancing Queen show.
All the food was excellent that we sampled, including the presentation and we feel was the best we have had at a Warners so far (and we have been doing this a while). Thankfully you no longer have the breakfast sausages that taste like cardboard. Frank did an excellent job and we look forward to what he can do when we return in February.
Max waiting on our table was polite, cheerful and happy, quick to bring food, clear away and helpful with suggestions.
The bar staff were extremely good, efficient and helpful. Alex and Andrea organising and running everything always on hand to sort out problems, not that there were many under their guidance.
Both Jake and Jacob in the Kennet bar were brilliant, they both knew what we were drinking and were always ready to serve and bring us our drinks and stop for a chat if they were available. Jake, he with the junior beard made our stay a pleasure, as he has in the past. Trisha was her usually bubbly cheerful self and it was yet again a pleasure to be served by her.
It was such a good holiday that we booked three more visits to Littlecote whilst we were there, and it was the overall feeling we got from the people that work there that made the final decision to return for us.
Just a suggestion, looking at the demographic and the dress of the guests on New Year have you considered doing a Last Night of the Proms. We had a quick chat with the people around us in the restaurant, bar and Late lounge, about twenty or so people in all, it was well received and nobody suggested it was a bad, old or outdated event.
We look forward to our forthcoming planned visits.
We can highly recommend Warners Littlecote House to anyone.

Went to thoresby-hall-hotel 3rd to the 6th Jan the room they gave me was to be near all the facilities, was not ,they changed use to historic room room was cold ,could not get warm ,radiator to small for room reception didn't want to know, ring customers service, didn't want to know, paid nearly 100 pounds for a cold room, bin going to warners for over 8 years showing their true self not interested in customers
We spent 3 nights at Little Cote House…
We spent 3 nights at Little Cote House Hungerford for Twixmas 27 Dec to 29th December 2024, and we had a whale of a time. This was our 2nd time there the previous time was a Birthday surprise, we all had a lovely time on both occasions. We went with our Son and daughter in law it was their 11th time there, I think that says it all. Lovely friendly staff, good food, plenty to do or just chill, it’s up to you. The entertainment was great, and the Panto being an adult Panto was side splitting never laughed so much. Thoroughly recommend Little Cote, we can’t fault it. Can’t wait to go again, its steeped in History and the Old House which is haunted must be visited its on site. Just one only complaint, wine is really expensive per bottle. Other than that loved it. Thanks Warners
HOLIDAY THAT NEVER HAPPENED
Unable to travel on the day we had booked our holiday. A amber warning was in place in our part of the county.
roads were flooded and visibility nil. Rang Warners to be told if we didn't arrive on the day our room would not be kept. I was offered a £600 towards another holiday for the following year. I had thought a admin charge but to lose £800 and need to pay another £800. for the same holiday . We are both in our 80years . Never use them again
