Stayed at Heythrop Park. Was a very expensive two night stay and I’m afraid it wasn’t worth it! Food was average, drinks extortionate, wanted £20 to reserve seats for entertainment because it wasn’t b... Ver más

You can't get through on the chat or to speak to someone by phone, it lets Warner down, no customer service as far as admin is concerned.
The staff were great , the entertainment team very friendly , worked really hard and are very talented. The food was mostly excellent, lots of choice and plenty of it . The rooms clean and the gr... Ver más

One star hotel
This review for Heythrop Warner hotel. This is a one star hotel.
Poor cleanliness, room ate not cleaned daily. Bed is not made up but the duvet is merely thrown on the bed.
No soap, shower cap or bathrobe
Poor dinner menu, the buffet is exactly like Beefeater.
Poor breakfast buffet with stale fried eggs already hours before, asking for toast arrives immediately, cold and when you ask for hot ones they come after 30 seconds hardly warm. Obviously they only warm up the already made ones.
Coffee is poured in freezing cups. So you'll never have hot coffee.
You have to walk outside in the cold weather for 4 minutes to reach the SPA and the Gym. No indoor access but they don't tell you that on their website. Also, they don't tell you that the deepest point of the swimming pool is 1.2 meter.
They tell you they have a lake but literally it is a pond.
The receptionists are poorly trained without courteous greeting and communication.
Unsolicited Mail Being Sent to My Home
I keep getting marketing mail from Warners, sent to another person who does not live at my address! I have contacted them several times and on each occasion been told they are very sorry but will ensure their records are amended to ensure I do not continue to receive marketing mails that are incorrectly being sent. I continue to receive these mails, having received yet another today, I am very frustrated, despite their promises, with their continued failure to remove my address from their marketing listing. Awful company,

Absolutely no control over the parking of cars, my wife and I both have blue badges and although spaces are made available they were invariably occupied by cars NOT showing a blue badge. As there is no control or supervision by management I suppose there will always be selfish people who will ignore the disabilities of the less fortunate. As for the not parking on double yellow lines total disregard of that. I would not recommend a stay at Bembridge for those reasons alone.

Just spent 3 day’s at Heythrop Hall
Just spent 3 day’s at Heythrop Hall
Lovely room good entertainment and the food was excellent the thing that lets the place down is the lack of waiting on staff there is no where near enough staff to cater for the number of guests
Very slow to bring food to the table or to clear tables when finished eating it’s a shame
All they say is they are short of staff
If you have mobility issues there are few lifts and lots of stairs
Why can't book room for 3 people?
YOU COULD WRITE IT> check what your staying in , n
Before going to th warners contacted h/o as I'd lost my booking details on line. Short version, defintly had no booking.Am I sure I made !!!. Husband found direct line to Studley Castle Via a member on F/B, H/O couldn't do that.
Booked a LODGE..no! it was a first floor apartment with a lot of steps,I walk with crutched. They do say they have stairs but I imagined they would be up to the lodge front door, this I could manage with help from my husband. The room was very nice clen and well decorated however, the sofa at the end of the bed was touching the wall so I had to access one side of the bed only.
Went down for pre-dinner drink in the lounge only to have our ears blasted by a live singer, the people we met decided they would go to dinner as they couldn't hear a word spoken. I will say looking round at other guests they felt it was way too loud. We were 10mins early but decided we may as well go into dinner, asked the manager if it was OK said he have a look and see, when we went in we couldn't believe that there 100 tables and about 30 filled ( he must have struggled to get us in. We were then put on a table on a balcony being the only people on it felst as if we were in a goldfish bowl. Food was excellent I will say, so after dinner back into the lounge whena member of staff decided to put Rugby on,not some nice smooth music to accompany our drinks,I did complain to customer services but just went back to our NON-LODGE. I booked this particular W/E as I am a fan of the drifters so looking forward to Saturday night. Dinner was an 6.30. we were told that the show didn't start until at least 9.00pm. I am not in the best of health and this was the first break I'd had for 3 years so imagine my total disapointment at missing what I'd booked for. Next morning talking to a waitress an other people there were a lot of complaints about the timing,She left a 9.00pm and it still hadn't started. Very let down, someone told me about getting a refund if unhappy but you have to do it the first night, I didn't know the first night that I wouldn't see the show. Would like half my money back but I dubt that will happen. Hemel H/O seems to not care at all. Food good, accomodation albeit not a lodge was nice and the staff excellent.
Would I go again NO, would I recommend it No,unless your a night owl. They're catering for the wrong age group.
Absolute carnage when you arrive
Absolute carnage when you arrive when everyone tries to get their keys and pick up cases.
Dining experience was a nightmare - no ice for water, no ice cream or cheese available for dessert, Sirloin steaks very tough. Service very slow. Bacon at breakfast was disgusting - not cooked properly. Bedrooms not hoovered in the week that we stayed there. Left after 5 nights even though we paid for 7.
Up your game Warners
Great place, good food, not yet up to Warners great places...short staffed, minimal daytime activities.. shocking billing system.. enjoyed but got to up their game compared to Sinah Warren
Good in parts, bad in others
Not so much an overall assessment as an average. What was good? The spa and swimming pool, the restaurant food (mostly), the entertainment (don't miss Jenna Lee James if you have the opportunity to see her). What was not so good? The service level was very inconsistent. Some good waiters and bar staff, some quite bad and not well trained. Our dressing table stool broke when my wife sat on it. Could have caused an injury. Still it was not replaced for the whole 4 days we were there. We were given a bottle of wine as compensation. On leaving we were told that no porter service was available. I thought this was a bit last-strawish and said so. Sensing a formal complaint coming, the receptionist helped with our bags himself. Finally, on receiving our account we found that we had been charged for an excursion that they had cancelled. Promised a refund and, as of now, still waiting.
Updated 27/06 - refund received. Star rating unchanged.
Appalling
Appalling. Lack of staff, lack of amenities as already booked, rooms not cleaned. Pool closed at 5.30 (unless you were on a spa break), couldn’t get on golf range as there was a party of 60+ golfers, and the golf shop was shut at 3pm. That’s just the to of the iceberg.
Bad experience at Studley Castle
We stayed at Studley Castle on the 20th of February 2023 for 4 nights. On arrival our room was found to have stained carpets, nasty looking stain on one chair and dust everywhere, the housekeeper was called who apologised and sent us to the bar whilst the room was cleaned. The subsequent days of our stay were also spent complaining about drinks orders being lost or waiting for ages for food and drink orders to arrive plus worst of all find a corn plaster in a bathrobe pocket. The Duvet cover on the bed had a stain on it which I asked to be changed when the room was cleaned, needless to say it was still there when we returned!!! We spoke to Tania the duty manager before we left, she offered us a voucher for £150 off our next visit. This we declined as not a reasonable sum due to the number of complaints we had to make Tania said she would email Joanne Hamick the GM who would contact us the following week needless to say we’ve heard nothing. We have tried contacting Tania and Joanne to no avail also emailed the CEO nothing. In conclusion the hype in the glossy magazines doesn’t stand up to reality.
After all the hype advertising Heythrop…
After all the hype advertising Heythrop Park in April we booked to go on the 24th October for 4 days to celebrate our wedding anniversary and my husbands birthday. We paid the full balance in July. On the 5th October we receive an urgent message to Warners. We did so to be told our holiday was cancelled due to the building being unsafe and the room not ready for occupation. To make matters worse friends had booked to join us and they were not cancelled. Apparently no other room was available. All the advertising and they could not inform us until 18 days before our holiday that our room was not completed! Not impressed at all.Heythrop Park should not have been opened until it was completed.
Warners Heythrop Park Hotel
We stayed in Heythrop Park Hotel from the 16th to 19th September.
Its a beautiful site and lovely walks and a lovely 18 Hole golf course.
I got annoyed as I keep seeing the advert on TV and not everything is finished.
When we arrived there us quite a long walk to take your bags in. Apparently there is a buggy you can get which we didn't see at the time and as far as `I could tell no notices to tell you this.
The room we had SW107 was lovely one of the best we have stayed in. It was a it had a lounge attached which was lovely to relax and read the papers.
The only thing that didn't work was the towel rail which we reported 3 times and still didn't get fixed
:-(
Sadly he hotel is not finished. There was no Pool, SPA, Theatre and one of the restaurants was also closed. We also wanted to try the eBikes as we are thinking of buying one but these were also unavailable which we was not happy about. The room renovations are lovely and look really good.
The food was good as well. I just felt the wine prices were a bit expensive. The Bar & Restaurant staff are fantastic and worked hard. As with all the industry under staffed. Sometimes we had to wait a bit longer than we wanted to. We received a discount of 33% but as the pool and SPA were closed this didn't really cover it, 50% would have been a better offer.
We did have a go at archery which we really enjoyed but trying to book things via the site was a pain. For the slightly older people there a number that I saw needed assistance and of course the queues built up behind them.
Parts of the site look like a building site. If you are considering then I suggest check to make sure things are finished.
Would I go again??? Maybe once its all finished. A couple of my friends asked me about it and I told them to wait.
The weekend was good because we met our friends that we really had seen for a long time. To coin a phrase "we did meet again"
Hope this helps.
ALVESTON HALL- BRILLIANT WEEKEND.
Just had a smashing weekend at Alveston Hall, the entertainment team were brilliant, the food was very good.
Thank you to all at the hotel.
Warners knowingly double booking some hotels
Please be aware that Warner's sometimes allow their hotels to be taken over by another company (Gn holidays) but still take bookings and your deposit and then at a later date cancel it. I'm currently trying to get a response from Warners to a booking i have but is also being advertised by GN holidays.
If i cancel i loose my deposit but Warners don't care.
Expired gift voucher when it arrived back to 2020, still haven't sorted it
Back in Sept 2020 I purchased a Deluxe Afternoon Tea voucher for my Mum for her Birthday, due to Covid there was a delay in sending out the voucher, In Nov we received the voucher, however the issue date was 20 Dec 2018 with a 12 month valid for date, the voucher was out of date at the point we received it, my sister made contact with Warner Leisure but received no response, since then I've had several telephone conversations and more e-mails than I care to mention including photographic proof of the documents to try to resolve the situation and have a new voucher issued, I've been told more than once by telephone and by e-mail that it's sorted and a new voucher will be sent, still nothing 18mths later, very poor service
Don't use Warner's hotels
After years of using this organization with my late wife o decided to visit Holm Lacy for the first time.
3 nights £1,160 for a heritage room.
Drape curtains had a large hole in it and arm chairs had the filling hanging out plus so much dirt and dust. They removed the fruit bowl 24 hours early to prep it for next guest
Manager took photos and agreed it was unacceptable.
Complained to head office who just said sorry and called the matter closed.
They refused any compensation and called it closed.
Never again. The amount of money I have spent.
Don't use them the food complaint was dismissed. I would not recommended them they don't value loyalty at all.
This Is for British legion members
This Is for British legion members
This company offers legion members up £350,a booking.
But when you go on the website all they offer you is £10
So it is not very good that they advertise in the legion magazine that offer.when as far as I can see they have intention of giving legion members that
Disgruntled.
