I went in July with my two children one has a disability. I purchased a carers ticket on line and I bought a guide. The guy on the door found my ticket but couldn’t find my guide purchase. My son got upset and I ended up leaving the guys behind the guy was most unhelpful and I was left out of pocket

On a more serious note Warwick castle and I suspect all merlin attractions are card only, which I think is ridiculous. In future I won’t be returning to any merlin attractions.

Access denied due being late

We booked the tickets in advance of course, including the Dungeons. We had a flat tire on our way to the Castle so we were late 30min. They won't let us to see the Dungeons as we were late. We did explain that we had a situation and hence the delay. Unqualified manager with no people skills at all. We finally spoke with Site Manager which appeared to understand the situation, however he cannot let us access the Dungeons for which we paid £30. When I asked to get a refund as the service paid wasn't provided of course we got "don't think is possible ".Anyway....we managed to get a refund but after a lot of talking and explanations. They're not flexible at all. They should come with solutions for those which due various reasons are late. What if I'm stuck in traffic? Or my child is feeling ill? Or if I'm a disabled person? It's not like we didn't come...we were a few minutes late...that's a massive difference.

I visited Warwick Castle today with my daughter and friends and had a wonderful time. Despite the weather conspiring against us the venue was magnificent. Like other reviewers I would have paid the ticket price just to see the Falconers Quest. It was excellent! Being used to prices in London I found the drinks and food to be reasonably priced and would recommend this for a day out. Well worth a visit.

Decent, under Covid rules.

Went out on a recent warm sunny summers day.

Queuing prior to the castle was quick and simple, hand sanitisers were easily accessible at almost every entrance, and the rest of the time it was relatively fun. Climbing the ramparts and watchtowers was definitely a highlight of my day.

My only gripe is that the whole thing felt....empty. Yes there was alot to see and find, but it felt like it was just merely left there, mostly with staff milling around, not enforcing restrictions.

Excellent family trip

Took our family to the castle while the Zog tour was on. The kids really enjoyed all the interactive events. The castle also had actors around the castle and displays going on. The actors were brilliant with the kids. Highly recommend a day trip to the castle.

Evasive on refunds

Had a booking for this Saturday. Obviously the castle is closed under the new restrictions.

Was fairly obvious from their email and website that they aren't keen to refund.

First conversation with live chat the agent told me to reply to the email I had received to request a refund. Email was a no reply service so received a bounce back.

Second conversation the agent outright told me "Tickets are non refundable as per the terms and conditions of the purchase. However, we can revalidate your tickets free of charge for a visit next year."

I explained that we had booked a service for a specific day and as it was closed, they were not supplying the service therefore a refund should be available.

Bizarrely the issue has had to be escalated to the management team to resolve. How a straightforward cancellation and refund has to go to management level is surreal.

It seems the company are taking a Ryanair style approach to this months closure.

Don't make any changes to your booking, or request help!

Whatever you do, do not book your ticket online.
I booked my ticket on the 16th October for the Dungeon within plenty of time for amendments, I thought I might of made a mistake with the ticket so I emailed them to double check and rightly so I had. You are meant to also book entry for the castle not just the dungeon. (which it does state, further down the first page may I ad) Obviously I was so excited I rushed to book my ticket. This option shouldn't be allowed, you should only be able to buy a ticket if you have bought a main ticket to the castle (major faux pas on their part) anyway they had sold out of main entry tickets. (strange that the system couldn't tell that there was 2 people in the castle without a main ticket) So I asked if there was anything they could do, this email correspondence took place 25th October where I emailed them to tell them what had happened. On the 25th October (fast service) I got an email from a lady (I wont name) advising I had bought the wrong ticket and she could only change my dates or refund. I responded asking more questions on the same day and 5 days later nothing! I have emailed them 4 times and have been ghosted (ignored) I was due to visit tomorrow 31st October and still nothing. All I want is the refund that I was offered, the excuse these companies use is Covid... Well I am sorry the doctor still has to work, the nurse the person who works in the supermarket, I have to go to work I can't tell my customers Covid did it! It's like these companies are using as an excuse to offer poor customer service! Don't open your facilities if you can't manage the work load, stay shut! Instead of concerning yourself with lining your pockets and offering a very terrible service!
Yes I made the error, I was offered an option and now I am being ignored!

This company is only paying lip service to any Covid precautions also very limited shops and events open .Don't go if weather not good as nowhere to eat inside except the conservatory with very limited seating. You spend most of your time there queueing from the entry to the park to going on the ramparts very poor value for money and did not feel Covid precautions adequate especially for the amount of people they are allowing in to the castle.

We regualary come to visit the castle

We regualary come to visit the castle, we love the atmosphere and walking around the grounds. The peacocks are lovely to see. As a family we enjoy walking and so this place is a perfect place to do just that.
The staff onsite wear costumes to suit the time of year, Halloween = witches etc. The staff interact with the guests. We love it there.

Non existent customer service

I had tried for the last three days to contact these people by phone regarding my booking and they stop customers from getting through from the moment their lines are meant to ‘open’. The pre recorded message states that you should contact them later due to unprecedented customer demand. This is clearly untrue. Their live chat function is unresponsive or closed. I’m considering reporting these guys to trading standards for all the good that may do. Appalling.

Booked to see the dragon slayer show

Booked to see the dragon slayer show which is between 8-10 at night doors opening at 7. Arrived at 7.20 and queued for over half an hour to get in. When we got to the front of the queue we realised there was only 1 person scanning people in. We asked to see the duty manager Colin who explained they had to pull staff off the bag searches to speed up getting people in however failed to put extra staff on scanning and compromised security as well. By the time we got in in it was 7.50 and had to queue 20 minutes for the toilet 10 minutes to get a drink and another 20 minutes to get food! Actual show was quite good but we missed the start because of all the queuing ! We had also asked for a manager to call to discuss our visit and that has not happened... poor management Warwick Castle !

Warwick Castle

Warwick castle is a little pricey though better of course with our 40% discount. The castle dungeons (which you have to pay extra for) are actor led and they have the same scenes, dialogue etc as The London Dungeons. I did however like the fact they used people from the audience rather than actors to commit "torture" on, unlike the London dungeons. There is little information on display about the castles history particularly in the state rooms. The Royal Wedding and scandal party section was good. I was very disappointed to find them charging £5 for car parking on top of the admission charges I nearly didn't go when I found out about this. The Merlin company that own the castle display notices about how much money they spend every year to maintain the castle, without any public funding, therefore I was surprised that they failed to rope off a number of sections allowing people to sit on furniture, touch the wax dummies and other furtniture/objects. I saw children do this without any care or respect and this will surely only result in damages and quicker wear and tear. They have lovely grounds yet I feel it is a shame they allow people to walk on the grass causing muddy patches. The map is not very detailed. There is nothing on there to show what is in the towers, if anything, where toilets, restaurants and any other immenities are. They only had one restaurant and did have a few tents for other food & beverages - most of which were closed. They had a couple of tents for toys as well. Otherwise they only had one small gift shop at the entrance/exit which was very crowded. I was going to get some mugs on the castle and wanted to look at other merchandise available but in the end I decided to give up trying to fight my way through the crowds and left without purchasing anything. I liked the fact they had picnic areas available and they had archery at £3 per go and also they did a demonstration of the medievil catapult which was interesting. They had the Princess tower and Merlin tower for the children which I did not go to. (You have to pay extra for these). It would be good if they had a bit more outdoor activities, based around the castle's history, that people can join in on, Hever castle is a lot smaller the Warwick castle yet they have at least three shops on their grounds and two large restaurants. They also had much more information on display around the castle and take more care to preserve its contents and grounds.
