We recently had our bathroom completely redesigned and installed through Wickes, and the experience has been nothing short of exceptional.

Steve Ambler, our Wickes bathroom designer, was fantastic from the start. He listened carefully to what we wanted and created a design that was both stylish and practical. His attention to detail and creative use of space really brought the vision to life. Steve made the whole process smooth and stress-free — a true professional.

The installation was carried out by Josh from JEM Bathrooms, and we couldn’t be more impressed. His workmanship is top-notch. Every part of the install was done with care, precision, and a clear commitment to quality. Josh kept everything tidy, was always on time, and handled even the small challenges with ease.

A special mention has to go to the hi-tech Japanese smart toilet — it’s honestly a game-changer! Heated seat, built-in bidet, auto lid, ambient lighting… it brings real luxury and tech into the bathroom, and it was seamlessly integrated into the design.

Thanks to Steve and Josh, we now have a bathroom that feels modern, luxurious, and incredibly well-built. If you’re considering a bathroom renovation, I highly recommend this team. Truly a 5-star experience!

Had kitchen fitted recently and the service has been fabulous.Yousef the kitchen designer is amazing from start to finish he has guided me through everything and gone above and beyond to ensure everything went smoothly. Lee the fitter’s work is perfect and the plasterer and electrician were both great too. Everything was explained and no mess left. Thank you Wickes !!!

Yousef Khezam, the designer at Wickes's Aintree store is an absolute star. He was attentive and sensitive to my requests and guided me through the whole process of purchasing a kitchen and bathroom. He was also proactive during the whole installation period and was prompt in dealing with additional demands as the project progressed. He was also quick and effective at troubleshooting snags and one instance of a delivery delay. He's a credit to the company.

Very good experience from the beginning to the end. Friendly and helpful planners. And excellent work force. I highly recommend wickes for your project.

We've just had our kitchen and bathroom done with Wickes. The customer service we received from Yousef Khezam at this store was exemplary. He did the measuring up himself (unlike other providers we got quotes with) which really helped with the whole process. He responded to our queries super promptly, was extremely patient as we took ages to choose colours (!) and also sorted out an incorrect parking fine within minutes. We'll definitely be recommending Wickes to friends on the back of our experience.

Wicks delivery stuff to my neighbours and damaged my driveway.
Driver said it was already damaged on his report and transport office believed him without contact with me.
Poor customer service.

I provided contact details to Wicks customer service but until today nobady contact with me.
This is unacceptable.

We recently had our kitchen done with Wickes in February-March 2025 and used the Aintree Branch. We had tried a few other places and only came into Wickes to have a look, but found that we really liked what was on their show rooms. We met one of their designers, Mark Hewitt who was incredibly helpful and within a week had come and done a home visit and designed our new kitchen. Mark wasn't pushy at all and made us feel really relaxed and explained everything well. He was also always contactable. The installation team were great and really friendly and each day would send us pictures of what they had done. Inevitably there were some hick ups with things not going to plan at times, but these were always explained well and dealt with quickly. We couldn't recommend Wickes enough and particularly Mark - he is excellent at his job and we're really pleased with our new kitchen!

Excellent service from Yousef in the kitchens department. Myself and my family have bought all our kitchens from here and have always had an amazing experience with yousef. He has great customer service skills and always goes above and beyond. Thanks for your help

Mark at Aintree Wickes absolutely excellent.

Bought a kitchen. Consultant was Steve Ambler. We discussed my needs. No pressure or overselling. Provided sound advice and a great design. Friendly and easy to deal with. Provided advice that saved on the overall package including some appliance bargains cheaper than some electrical outlets. Thanks very much Steve !

If I could give zero I would !!!!
I had a kitchen fitted in October and it was the worst decision I have ever made. Do not trust Wickes to send a professional kitchen fitter. I have a kitchen that has been fitted wrong. I have kitchen cupboard doors that are upside down. My unit with my fridge in is not connected to the wall, my work tops are fitted wrong and have gaps in. My kitchen sits on an angle and is out from one side to the other by about 2 inches. I have a cupboard that I can’t open properly and all my units are out by 15 millimetres as well as all the corner pieces being fitted wrong. Oh and my kitchen is also not to plan. And wickes does not care, they will not send anyone from the installation team . They sent another kitchen fitter who was told I had 3 small things to fix. He came seen the kitchen and never came back !!!! I email customer service for updates every couple of weeks and they can’t tell me a thing, they try to help but the installation manager does not care.

We visited Wickes at Aintree for some ideas on a new bathroom.
From the moment we arrived we were looked after really well. The designer, Steve Ambler, sat us down and listened to our thoughts and arranged to visit to measure up and design our bathroom. He showed us the various ranges available and gave us some ideas to be thinking of before he came.
When Steve came round he spent time, again, listening to what we wanted and made some fantastic suggestions re layout etc.
We went back to the store in Aintree with some “tweaks “ that we’d thought of and once again Steve was able to incorporate them into his design.
The finished bathroom is exactly what we wanted and we are so pleased with how it turned out.
If you want a great product and design I would have no hesitation in recommending Steve at Wickes.

Sadly I haven’t had the same experience from Wickes I’m definitely not as proud as a Peacock. Can’t fault the aintree Branch Yousef he was amazing with great plans and communication throughout! My problems occurred with the installation
The job started October 24 and is still on going
Poor Silicone Bead Execution: The finish of the silicone bead is substandard across the majority of the bathroom. This is particularly noticeable:
On the right-hand side (RHS) of the door architrave.
Within the window reveal.
On both horizontal niches located above the WC.
On both vertical niches within the shower area.
Around the WC itself, where some silicone is also missing on the left-hand side (LHS).
Loose Tile Skirting: The tile skirting is loose and requires re-adhering to the wall.
Cracked Tiles: There are several cracked tiles that need attention:
One cracked tile in the window reveal on the left-hand side (LHS).
One cracked tile on the right-hand side (RHS) of the towel radiator.
One cracked tile located underneath the wall-hung WC pan. Replacing this tile will necessitate the removal of the WC pan to gain access.
Inconsistent Grout Bead at Sink: The vertical grout bead on either side of the sink where it meets the wall varies in size. A consistent bead of color-matched silicone should be applied evenly in these areas.
Excess Grout in Niches: Excess grout needs to be removed from all four niches.
Incomplete Floor Silicone: The silicone sealant between the wall and the floor has only been partially applied and needs to be completed.
Illuminated Mirror Malfunction: The illuminated mirror stopped working a few weeks ago and requires a new product. Customer services have been great so far and they are working with me so I can hopefully have the dream bathroom I envisaged.

I feel so lucky that Steve Ambler at Wickes, Aintree was my kitchen designer. He was professional yet friendly, patient, good at listening and paid attention to the small details as well as the big items. With Steve’s help I felt confident in my choices and I feel sure that my kitchen is going to be beautiful. Thank you Steve.

Really disappointing experience with a new kitchen. The fit started on the 6th January 2025 and still got ongoing issues. Customer service very poor, I am having to make the calls and do all the chasing

Recently bought fencing panels from Wickes Aintree, for a very reasonable price the quality is excellent, and I was amazed at the very reasonable delivery charges, everything arrived the next day on time, Can really recommend Wickes.

The best thing about buying our new kitchen was the kitchen designer at Aintree. We had tried other suppliers and found Steve Ambler to be be the most professional, and supportive. His knowledge helped us to collaboratively confirm a design. He gave us confidence in what can be a worrying process. We are in the middle of a big rennovation, and to be honest it was refreshing to work with someone who was friendly and thorough, and who made himself available to us. We are very happy with the finished kitchen and the quality of the product we chose. We would definitely recommend.
