We’re working to tighten timescale requiring the initial design concepts that we perfected in the meeting, followed by a third and final meeting to review and sign off on a completely new house kitchen, family bathroom and en-suite bathroom. Melissa was central to this process being completed quickly and without any issues. Always on hand to help and guide us as we developed the plans. Thanks, Melissa, excellent work!

We had a fantastic design experience working with Claire from the Wickes Oxford branch. From an initial introductory call, to the home visit, to the design visits in-store she was extremely helpful and made the whole process very straightforward (and enjoyable!). She always made sure to answer our many questions fully and with product demonstrations wherever possible, and integrated our often-changing ideas without fuss. She clearly outlined our options in terms of timing and cost to give us the confidence to proceed with sufficient flexibility. We are excited to crack on with the project as soon as we can and look forward to hopefully working with Claire on other areas of our new house in the future!

The installation team did an excellent job. The in-store design process was helpful, not least in helping visualise plans. Finalising the order was a little frustrating - Wickes system seems to regularly have issues - and we kept receiving incorrect delivery dates. Pleased with the end product, even if the process of getting here could have been improved.

On the 23rd Dec 2024 I purchased a set of 8 drill bits for £17-80. Two drill bits (size 6 & 7) broke attempting to drill two holes in ceramic tiles. The bits claim to be suitable for this purpose. I believe this is a false claim.
I attempted to obtain a refund from Botley Road Oxford, but was refused as I did not have a receipt. The reason I was given, was, that I could have purchased them elsewhere. If that was the case I would have returned them "elsewhere". I now have my credit card statement as proof of purchase. I have since bought a set of drill bits from Temu for £10-80 & drilled two further holes without breakage. Better quality & £7 cheaper.

You're able to make a return if:
● The order's within our 30-day return policy
● The item's undamaged and in its original packaging (if you don't have the original packaging, please use other suitable packaging to protect the product)

As this was an in-store purchase, we won't be able to collect it. You can return it to your local store, with the receipt and the original payment card.

This response ignored the fact that I had already mentioned that I do not have a receipt.
I have proof of purchase as I have a credit card statement with the Wickes £17-80 purchase.

How difficult is it to obtain a refund?

There are three possible reasons the drill bits broke:
• They are faulty
• They are not suitable for drilling ceramic tiles (i.e. your company is making a false claim - the legal term is misrepresentation)
• They were not used in accordance with instructions (they were & I managed to drill two holes using one Temu drill bit & it’s still good for more.
In my opinion your drills are not suitable for ceramic tiles. If you look at the feedback on your own website; four people think it’s a good product & four people, think it’s a poor product. (This, tends to support my opinion as they probably work fine for a softer material.)
Also, your 30-day return policy has no legal bearing in the case of faulty goods or misrepresentation. This is governed in law by the Limitation Act which is 6 years.

Just wanted to thank Melissa Hartle for a great service yesterday. I need a new bathroom in order to get my house ready for sale so it has to be reasonably priced and quick to install. Melissa understood my requirements and helped me to pick something that would look good and last whilst not requiring lots of plumbing or electrical work. Ideas such as choosing larger tiles to cut down on the tiling time were much appreciated. The process was smooth and efficient and I'm looking forward to seeing it materialize in real life - just a shame I wont be able to enjoy it for long :) Thank you Melissa.

Hopeless I was told when the items were delivered they woiuld get a replacement out the next day for damages... after numerous emails nothing. 1 week later still nothing

Complete cowboy outfit. The kitchen is so badly made its a joke.

Melissa was very patient and accommodating to our needs. She explained things well and communication was very quick through email. This was the third time I have used Wickes for bathroom/ kitchen planning and I was very pleased with the service once again. .

Melissa Hartle is an excellent bathroom design consultant. She visited our house, took measurements and discussed with us our requirements. We then met with Melissa at Wickes Oxford to choose our fixtures and fittings. Melissa instinctively knew what we required, taking us through the store and pointing out options. After everything was selected she went through every item on the order, explained the process and answered all of our questions. She even put up with my attempts to be amusing. I would definitely recommend Melissa.

We have just had a wonderful new bathroom completed, supplied by Wickes and fitted by the most excellent Simon from The Jack of All Trades. Wickes was really helpful in supplying us with exactly what we were looking for and for sending Simon to carry out the fitting. Simon and his team could not have been nicer or more efficient, sorting out any queries we had immediately. All in all an excellent job, thank you.

Simon and Jack of All Trades were excellent. Even before starting, Simon came and helped in an emergency, moving stuff. During the job, everyone kept dust and dirt to a minimum and cared for the rest house. The standard was very good. They dealt with all minor issues as they arose.

The installation company, "Jack of All Trades" were fantastic. Wickes themselves messed up my order multiple times.

Work done by installers (Jack of all Trades) was very good, in particular Andre who dealt well with a number of problems and was very helpful. Some design and ordering errors at the initial stages by the wickes designer meant the process was more frustrating than it should have been

Simon and his team were extremely professional and courteous. He finished the work on time and kept me fully in the loop on every aspect.

I had Simon Thomas (Jack of All Trades) complete my kitchen installation.and the experience was spot on from the 1st day to the last. Would use again.

From design to fit, very pleased.
Our designer Melissa from Oxford listened to what we wanted and designed a kitchen that took into account all our needs. It's a small kitchen but we have more storage and layout it great. We were appointed Simon from Jack of All Trades, Oxfordshire. Simon was very considerate and visited us promptly to check all measurements. He also gave us great advice on the best lighting we should have. As we decided to choose our own tiles, Simon suggested some which turned out to be the best decision for us.
Installation with the Fitter Stefan and his colleague went OK. Few hiccups but resolved in a timely manner. Worked really hard and always left everything clean and tidy. Happy with our new kitchen. We were replacing a 1974 kitchen.
