I've just been to American Golf at Bird Hills Golf Complex. I was looking for a 7 wood, I was served by John Hesledon to be custom fitted. He was very patient and knowledgeable about the club. He helped me straighten out my shot too. I use always go back to this shop from now on.

My Gift Card expired after 12 month meaning Mr Peter Jones kept my £28. this is a big scam - suggest don't use this pathetic robbing company. I understand their T&C's do mention the 12 month card expiry but it is still extremely unethical to take money from people like that.

Very rude staff . Puts you off going there for sure .

An older male member of staff at the Belfast branch could benefit from attending a customer care course. He was very rude. Fortunately, there is another golf shop across the road where we took our business.

visited Belfast store with a view to buying a new putter . Staff were too preoccupied having a putting competition between themselves rather than asking did i need any assistance , as i was trying putters it felt like i was in the way .Left store and purchased from another retailer nearby .
Will not be returning to this branch .

Bought two Greg Norman polo shirts at American Golf in Braintree yesterday (11/1/2025). Only £40 for two and they look to be good quality and I'm very happy. If you are a golfer and live in the Essex area and haven't been in American Golf at Braintree, you should do! They have some good stuff in there. Staff are friendly as well which is a bonus. Thanks for the great service.

I ordered a pair of golf shoes that were in the black November sale. I tried them on and they were slightly tight. I sent them back the next day from via royal mail tracked (£6) as I wanted an exchange from a size 8 to 8.5. Five days ago they received them. I have just called them to ask when will the shoes be delivered. OUT OF STOCK!! I've just been told. They then said the money has been sent into my bank. NO it's not!!

Having been given a voucher for my birthday I made an order which never arrived. When contacting AG they said for some mysterious reason the order had been dispatched only to be returned to the distribution centre and issued me with a second voucher. Guess what? Nothing has arrived and despite numerous communications I have heard nothing. Will never buy from. AG again. Local Pro Shop for me!

As I read lots of reviews on here saying that American Golf sell items that are not available. As a result I was not shocked to get an email from them to say the club I bought 6 days ago is no longer available and being issued a refund.

They need to sort this issue out, they have lost me as a customer and I will go elsewhere from now on.

Having ordered a golf shirt from American Golf, I was let down by their couriers (EVRI) who failed to deliver on three separate occasions. So, I thought I would call AG - not possible as they do not advertise a telephone number!!😡 So, I sent them an email and got an automated response that they were busy but would get back to me in 3-5 days!! Outstanding - NOT! American Golf obviously do not place any importance on customer service or aftersales. Therefore I will never ever order anything from them ever again. What a shower😡

Booked a fitting session on line for the hull shop/centre
Got a courtesy call 2 hours before he asked what I was looking trying etc , mentioned I was left handed and they only had TWO clubs to test out ! no callaway , mizuno etc etc , massive retailer who cannot manage to help LH golfers, never gave option on line of specifying LH or RH

Never buy an AG gift card it’s a con! I was given a £100 gift card which I used online to buy a pair of golf shoes, I ordered 3 sizes and paid the balance on my card. When I returned 2 pairs I asked that the gift card be used to purchase the pair I retained. However AG sent another gift card and would only refund my card for one pair which means I’m stuck with another gift card. Very poor customer service.

Really poor experience with the returns team. I bought a Ping golf bag off the website and it has a damaged zipper which needs to be repaired. Both American golf and Ping are refusing to do the work or refund the item. In future i will be avoiding both Ping and American Golf and using Halpenny instead. Awful customer service experience

The same problem as last time I'm afraid - email vouchers ordered , not received, reported, respond after a week saying they will resend, still no vouchers , report again, another email a week later saying they will resend, still no vouchers!!! Appalling service . I wrote a similar review last week and this seems to have 'disappeared' what is going on

I've dealt with Gary and Andrew lately, Gary sorted me with my new irons, brilliant advice and service. Andrew just the other day for my new electric trolley, I must say he was quite superb, both gents a credit to the store. Looking forward to spending more money there!

Nice jacket, much lighter than expected and doesn't look waterproof but others have reviewed that it met them dry so time will tell, the jacket won't take up much space in the bag which is also handy, this is a thin light jacket so if your looking for extra warmth look elsewhere. Main thing that niggles me about this jacket is the zipper is on the right, seems very strange to me, opposite side to all my other jackets (and I have a lot)

Great fitting at Braintree American Golf by Andy for some new Ping i525 irons. Could not have been anymore helpful or diligent if he tried. Highly recommend.

I got fitted for some irons 3 months ago and haven't had any update on if/when I will see my clubs. Was originally told 8 weeks, then 12 weeks and still nothing, not even a courtesy update phone call. Definitely avoid if possible.

Visited Trent Park store to get my Husbands Birthday presents. They had all that I was looking for, with a good selection. I found the assistant Maddy very helpful indeed!

Visited Canterbury branch, and was allowed to stroll around with no pressure, after 5 mins Norman approached and asked if I needed help. I told him my budget and he went through several options, which in the end found something tailored for me. Norman very polite and helpful and I would definitely use this branch again
