Awful insurance company after moving…

Awful insurance company after moving home last year when i tried to update my new address auto saint informed me that my new post code was not covered by them and so they would cancel my policy and as it was through no fault of my own they said they would write off any cancellation fees and i would not owe them anything now several months later they are threatening me with a court case and will not respond to any contact i have made with them AVOID AT ALL COSTS THEY ARE CONMEN AND NOTHING MORE

The worst insurance

The company are disorganised, small, and are often unavailable on the phone.

Also, they do not offer business insurance for goods or passengers, so you can never be a taxi driver, care worker, social worker etc. with them.

In addition, they are extremely expensive and charge for the smallest changes. I do not recommend them at all, please pay the extra £50 and go for something like Admiral or Hastings Direct.

Would give 0 stars if could. So unhelpful and difficult to deal with.

Got my insurance last august and in NOVEMBER started a new job where I quickly realised I wasnt going to have enough miles on my insurance to get to the end of the year. Couldnt figure out any way to get extra miles online and have never been able to log into my online dashboard/portal so couldnt check on there how to do it. Continuously called the customer services when I could but would always be on hold for an hour+ before giving up. Send probably about 10 emails before hearing back in APRIL this year. My worry was that I was going to face a sudden massive charge if i went over my mileage or have to pay as you go miles which I didn't have the money for and it was vital I drove for my job ! I didn't even have an idea of how much the extra miles would cost. For 6 months I could not get even a response let alone answers, and expressed this is emails to them which of course were never answered. There was such a lack of communication even when I did start getting responses that I was considering trying to take legal action. No one could give me a quote or tell me how to pay for the miles. I would get 1 response and then have to start a new email chain as they would never get back or answer any of my questions. Phone lines have been better since early covid but still shocking and useless. Get different answers from every advisor I speak to. I've been told by about 5 different people over the phone that they are going to email me with log in details for online portal. Never recieved this. Payed 75 quid for updating my address on my policy in order to get a parking permit and have not recieved this either. Black box drains my battery and the app does not work. I just get an arbitrary number every day even if I dont use my car. Autosaint has caused me so much stress and hassle and money I really wish I had read through reviews before going to the cheapest insurance company because it is NOT worth it.

Do not use this insurance company it is a total scam.

Helpful Customer Service

I was an autosaint customer a few years ago, and while I never had any major issues to cover, their customer service phone line were always happy to help and made things very easy when I did need them, unlike insurers I have switched to due to price in the years following.

Stay away from this Insurance company

Stay away from this Insurance company. It has been over 4 weeks to change a vehicle over an we still haven't been able too as they don't respond to you. I have wasted so many hours an money on phone call after phone call an they still havent had the deceney to insure the vehicle over yet are quick enough to demand money. Stay away absolutely awful company

Poor service

I am not even lying when I say it's the worst car insurance company I have ever had - they don't respond to emails, they take abut 2 hours to get through to. The black box is always giving trouble - I would stay far away, Id rather pay a bit extra for a good service - u genuinely get what u pay for with these crooks

Appalling Service - not worth the "cheap" price

I got my car scrapped, I sent them 6 emails to get them to cancel the insurance - and I phoned several times, each which resulted in me on hold for hour 3 hours at time! I work a 9-5 job so this got extremely irritating. Any who they finally emailed me back to tell me they were cancelling my insurance as I didn't have my block box in! which means this will be on my record for life and I have to declare I've had insurance cancelled on me for not having a black box in a scrapped car, meanwhile they're also charging me near on £300 a month! its extortionate and I don't have the vehicle! I don't know what to do I they're so difficult to get hold of when they get hold you of every time you do something wrong! also states there blackbox doesn't have curfews - but you get marked down for nighttime driving

Worst insurance company in the UK.
PLEASE AVOID.
Claimed I was speeding, then when I tried to call them regarding the issue I was on hold for 5 hours before I hanged up. I definitely was not speeding avoid this company!

Terrible service

Terrible service, hard to contact. Changed over my insurance to another car and got charged £300. I accepted this and paid £150 then got told the rest would be spread across 3 months. This never got put through which I didn’t realise as I don’t check my bank statements. My policy ended and I got a letter saying I need to contact them before I get a renewal. I contacted them and they told me I owe £150. I complained and they said it was a problem on their end because no one put the payment through but I still had to pay it. I refused and asked to dispute it. They assured me I would be contacted within the week. A couple weeks passed and still no contact. I called again and they said the same thing again so I waited and waited and still nothing. I never got offered my renewal or contacted about the payment even though I have had a black box with them for 2 years which I had great scores for. Never use this company as they charge you stupid amounts of money for things like swapping over cars or addresses which you can’t do anything about and their customer service is poor

I have been with Autosaint for 11 month! I had exceed my miles on my black box but I had no warning this and they cancelled my policy and left me in the lerch! I will never ever go with this company again took me 45 mins to get through to them this morning and they didn’t help me at all! Useless and very rude!

I would give no stars if I could. Do not go with this insurance!! Honestly I’ve read loads of bad reviews and thought maybe it’s just others being unlucky with this insurance but no this is a really bad company, no organisation and do anything just to take your money!!

Absolutely the worst insurance company…

Absolutely the worst insurance company I have ever dealt with. I am going to report them to the ombudsman. Shocking customer service and when you do get through after being on hold for over 3 hrs they hang up so you have to do it again. 4 days now and still not got our query answered.
Do not touch them with a barge pole. We have 6 mths left on our policy and it can’t come soon enough

Absolutely terrible company so hard to get through to and when I finally cancelled my policy they didn’t even get intouch with the credit agreement company to say it’s been cancelled and tried making me pay £180 for missing a payment even tho I cancelled the policy

Not worth the stress

Save your time and go through Admiral...
I have been trying to cancel my policy for over a month due to getting a new car. They have not answered my calls (The first call made on the 14th of April), they then put me on a call back list which I don't think exists and now they are threatening me saying I owe all this money to cancel my insurance. I renewed my insurance with them like an idiot just before I purchased my new car (Renewed on the 5th of April and car sold/new car purchased on the 16th). I then tried to cancel within the 14 day period but because their systems were down I couldn't cancel. Luckily I have an email chain showing all the dates I contacted them through email and showing all the times I tried to call. Today I finally got an email back explaining that I owe all this money to cancel my insurance. I have replied with all the proof of attempts as well as the proof of date I sold my car. I also sent them their policy fees and asked where it says what I owe them. Waiting for an answer! I Will update you when I get one.

Avoid at all costs! Aweful

Auto saint is the worst insurance company I have ever dealt with by a long shot! They are quick enough to take your money from you, however they take months, and dozens of emails and calls later to actually send you your proof of policy with the terms. They say you have access to a portal at all times however you have to phone up a special department to request signing up to this. Then they have no common sense at all when you try to create a login! They say there are certain criteria to meet for the password for example 1 capital letter! However even once these criteria are met they still say you can’t have that password because it hasn’t met the criteria. After hundreds of tries I finally managed to create an account. However since then I haven’t once been able to log in as they say it is the incorrect password for the account. If you try to phone them you are on hold for at least an hour each time and most of the time the call disconnects. I cannot wait to be finished with this awful company! I am in the process of trying to contact them to ensure they don’t auto renew my policy! However still not been able to get through!

This is the worst company I have ever…

This is the worst company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. I have spent hours and hours on hold over the past few months only to be disconnected or fobbed off
My sons policy started in August last year and still we cannot get confirmation that the telematics box is working or if in fact he has cover at all!!!

The latest email simply has a screen shot from September last year stating the box has not been fitted so cover is cancelled!!

The customer service is non existent
I dread to think what would happen if you ever had to make a claim

Will now be speaking to insurance regulators to get this company investigated
