Set up of insurance policy was…
Edited after the reply below from Be Wiser. The charge was made in error and a credit has been arranged. Thank-you.
Set up of insurance policy was straightforward and fast, however, I decided to put a private numberplate on my car so obviously had to notify the insurance - I did it myself through the online customer portal and immediately received a new certificate (computer generated, not done by a person!) and yet they charged me £54 for my effort of saving them a job. Absolute rip off and once my policy ends, I won't be renewing.

We're sorry to learn of your disappointment regarding the charge for updating your registration number. Updating your policy with a private registration online should cost £15.00, which is the administration fee. I apologise the system quoted a higher premium which was accepted.
I have located your policy and added a credit of £39.20 which will be spread over your installments. Thank you for bringing this to our attention and apologise for any inconvenience this has caused.
