We’ve used this company many times and have always had a first class service. The delivery times are very good. The whole process from ordering to receiving our order is great. The Quality hard wearing grass seed itself has always grown to give us a lovely looking lawn. It’s been tough enough to withstand dogs and our small granddaughter running all over it too!

Evri failed to deliver my order which I made because of the promised ‘next day’ delivery. Boston seeds sent another parcel using DHL, which did arrive.

One is always reticent to give a poor review especially because Boston Seeds' products are of a reasonably high quality but I feel I must warn others about the very poor delivery experience and customer service which I experienced this week.

I ordered 3 items at a total cost of £89.99 on Monday 14 September, three hours before the cut off time for next day delivery, having first checked by telephone that all were in stock.

I received 2 items only on 15 September so attempted to telephone customer service re the missing item but a recorded message advised contact should be made by email. To be fair someone from customer service did email back in response to my email but, whilst acknowledging the non delivery of the item, explained that this was due to the courier, DHL splitting the order ie it was not the fault of Boston Seeds. I certainly wasn't prepared to chase up DHL as I had no contractual relationship with DHL. There was no offer from Boston Seeds to get in touch with the courier just a suggestion that, if I hadn't received the item within the next 24 to 48 hrs, I should contact customer service again.

The missing item eventually arrived yesterday 17th September ie 48 hours late which I regard as totally unacceptable.

Despite having been a customer for a number of years, because of my unsatisfactory experience with my latest order, I am far from sure whether I would use Boston Seeds again.

Arrived next day nicely packaged. Very happy.

I rang Boston seeds and the sales person was really helpful and took my order efficiently.
The delivery was very prompt with the seed delivered (20kg bags) was in really good condition.

Bought the child’s play seed . Great germination rate and lawn came up a treat on clay soil with mixed shade

Excellent customer service - Despite the easy to use website I made a mistake in my order which was promptly corrected. 20Kg of drought resistant seed down in the hope of regrowing my lawn which didn't survive the summer - too soon to know whether it worked!

Excellent service- ordered one morning and received it the next morning. Can’t review the seed as it’s germinating!
