I’ve never experienced customer service…

I’ve never experienced customer service this unprofessional. I went in to buy a fishing rod that was clearly marked on sale, along with three spools of fishing line. None of the prices matched the shelf tags — the rod didn’t ring up at the sale price, and every spool of line was higher than the posted shelf price. When I pointed this out, staff argued with me and refused to let me purchase the fishing line at the displayed sticker price, telling me I had to pay the higher computer price or I couldn’t have it at all. Only after another employee stepped in did they finally admit they had to honor the sticker on the rod.

Head office later confirmed I was right and told me to return to get the proper pricing. When I came back, the attitude from staff was rude from the moment I walked in. During the transaction, the cashier failed to give me my change, then insisted she had. She made me empty my pockets in front of other customers to “prove” it — completely humiliating and totally unnecessary. I was honest from the start, yet I was treated like I was doing something wrong while they were the ones not honoring their own posted prices.

For anyone shopping at the Bancroft Canadian Tire, check every single price before you leave the store. This location clearly does not keep shelf prices updated. And remember: under SCOP (Scanning Code of Practice), if an item scans higher than the shelf price, they are required to give you $10 off the listed price.

Je déconseille complètement, magasin avec prix très haux et service après vente nul. J'ai acheté une machine à espresso à 500 CAD, je l'ai utilisé une fois et j'ai trouvé que la qualité est nulle, elle me donne une eau noire au lieu d'une espresso. je suis retourné chez eux et à ma surprise on me refuse le retour. J'avais mon reçu, j'ai bien nettoyé la machine après utilisation, personne n'a essayé de m'écouter. Le manager a répété mille fois : mais la machine fonctionne, merci beaucoup, pour 500CAD j'attends aussi une certaine qualité à part que ça fonctionne. À éviter ce magasin.

Unable to submit product reviews. They always come up with some feeble excuse why it can not be submitted.
No customer service and no customer satisfaction guarantee at all. I bought a set of cordless headphones that were really unsatisfactory and did not work as expected.I could not return them since they did work for a few minutes after I charged them up. I have found several employees that were very curt and sometimes downright rude. I am 72 years old and have been shopping Canadian Tire all my life and can honestly say they are the very last place I go when I need sometihing.

Port Hawkesbury Canadiantire poor brake service
I went to Canadian tire service in Port Hawkesbury NS. Reason: Install new Rotors,Pads and wear sensors and reset wear sensor indicator. 1st visit was to assess parts required and ability to do sensor reset. fee $70. Estimated time to do the installation estimated @ 1-1.5hr. Went to my appt to install today for 10:am and waited 4hrs in their waiting room. Reason given was a Technician had loaned the scanner to someone and were waiting for it to be returned! AND they charged me for just short of 3 hours labour for a 1 hr job. I will never go back to Canadian Tire Auto service again. Poor service and no compassion.

Customer Service = -100

I had experienced some issues correcting an issue with Canadian Tire, which I was very upset about, (and admittedly, I could have handled better myself), but the store did reach out to me and understood and offered to correct the issue right away. After talking with the store's GM and looking back at the fact that everybody does make mistakes, I'm updating my review. I'd like to thank the Ajax CTC for their quick response, it changed my outlook on them, (and on myself being too quick to react).

I will never shop at Canadian Tire Again

Website is incredibly buggy. It ended up taking my money for a badly needed car battery without actually ordering the battery.

I didn't have enough money for a second one which completely screwed me over. Their customer service was useless and did nothing to help the situation. I ended up having them delete my triangle rewards account.

I will never shop at Canadian Tire again.

Went to Canadian Tire today after seeing Aged Oak Gel Stain on their website listed at $21.99. The word “From” was hidden in faint, fine print beside the price. When I got to the store, every can was $29.99 — no product was available at the advertised price.

I spoke with three managers (John, Cory, and Holly) who all confirmed the price was $29.99. As far as I’m concerned, this is misleading advertising — showing a product image and a price that doesn’t exist just to get people in the door.

I’ve submitted a complaint to Canadian Tire customer service and hope they fix this. Shoppers deserve clear, honest pricing.

Be warned

Be warned. Don't buy anything from Canadian Tire that needs to be opened to be used. As soon as you open it, the item becomes non-refundable. If you decide you don't like it, they'll give you an exchange, otherwise, well... "that's our policy".

How are you supposed to know if you like something and it works for you without opening it and trying it. Maybe that was back in the day.

I pushed to get a store credit at least, and the manager made a call and they provided a store credit, but only because it was (2) days since I made the purchase.

So - remember, we're being held hostage to CT if we buy something from them and actually open it and try it.

Unhappy customer

We went to the canadiantire store at Islington and rexdale today. We had to return a new set of steak knives unopened package with no receipt. We were served by a cranky and rude person at customer service. She was not a pleasant person at all to us. She told us a few times she has worked her 25 years and know whats she is doing. She asked were we bought them and I thought it was richmond hill but it was actually markham. She would not help at all and kept asking for our card. My gf showed hers and her phone card as well. The person wouldn't accept it and didn't even check the computer where we bought the product. When we started to say forget as she was getting loud and not helpful at all. When we left we heard her cursing and loud. We were actually going to shop for a mini safe but deffenitly will be getting it somewhere else.
We have returned other items at other canadiantires with no problem at all

Good customer care

I’ve just bought a set of weather tec mats from the store here in Cochrane about and I’ve just had an interaction with a supervisor by the name of Jason van’t hullenaar,I can’t say enough good things about this particular person,polite ,informative,knowledgeable about the products we spoke about,friendly approachable and just genuinely a really nice guyHe shouldn’t be a supervisor he should be running the store,I only wish there where more people working in the consumer industry like him,Thankyou so much for your help

Very disappointing experience

I had a very disappointing and concerning experience with a Canadian Tire garage during a winter tire change.
During the service, they broke one of my wheel studs. Instead of taking responsibility, they tried to charge me for both the part and the labor, claiming the stud had been previously over-tightened. This was already frustrating, but the situation got worse.
When I returned to speak with the manager, I was met with a rude and dismissive attitude. I was essentially told that if I didn’t want to pay, I could just take my car and leave—even though driving with a broken stud is unsafe.
Because I no longer trusted their work, I went to another garage. There, I was informed that the wheel lug nuts had not been properly tightened, which is extremely dangerous. I was told I was lucky the wheel didn’t come off while driving. They also noticed missing valve caps.
I had to pay $200 to fix these issues.
Overall, this experience showed a lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic safety standards. I strongly recommend get your car fixed somewhere than Canadian Tire.

La compagnie vends des items de grandes…

La compagnie vends des items de grandes marques renommée surtout des grands noms canadien tel que woods, sherwood, CCM, Coleman, ect, les produits sont souvent de pauvre qualité à gros pris, int ne peut même pas laisser de commentaire véritable sur leur site web parce que Bazaarvoice ne le permet pas, la corporation de Canadian tire sous propriété de la famille Billes, est devenu une véritable expérience sans cœur,
Vraiment plus que déçu mais offusqué par leurs tactiques illégal, un retour d'articles sous garantie, ont vous rembourse et vous en achetez un autre et la différence vous est facturé.
Nous avons acheté un produit woods le fameux lit de camping gonflable avec pompe intégrée, je suis à mon 5e échanges ou plutôt rachat en moins de 2 ans le produit ne dure pas ne fait que dégonfler à chaque occasion, tellement intéressant de devoir ce lever dans le milieu de la nuit pour le regonflé à 21:00, 00:00,04:00,08:00, ect, juste pour ce faire prendre pour des gens fortunés qui as juste ça a faire payé à chaque fois. La corporation as besoin d'avoir Honte. Le nom de la Billes est pas un nom à Honorer. Ou est la qualité que nous avons connue?!.

Garden Center fail!

Purchased an outdoor kiwi plant for $25.00 and it was dead the next day. When I asked for a refund, they told me it shouldn't be planted outside... except to say, it is an outdoor plant... as all kiwis are. If it shouldn't be planted outside, it should not be made for sale! Anyway, no help, not even a replacement or a store credit.

The North Saanich Canadian Tire

The North Saanich, BC Canadian tire store where I have purchased a lot of stuff have never said thanks once . They don’t print thank you on there receipts. The experience at their Customer Service counter has only been rude . The automotive Parts manager Paul is the rudest person I have ever met . His comment when I presented a little problem ,that he could easily solve , was to dismiss me as one of those people . I don’t think they would want him back if he wanted to return to England. He is the crown prince of low class British rudeness . Stay away , go to Lordco or Napa , much better experience

Service added BS fees.

Received a quote for new tires and installation, Price was excepted so had work done at my Campbell River store. At payment time invoice increased by $130 due to "dirt on rims". What fool takes an hr labour to clean rims. I know this was not true, earlier the week before I had a shop investigate a vibration. They checked for dirt and then found a u-joint worn. Rim dirt was checked.

This was the LAST time I will ever use Canadian Tire service department. There are lots of shops in my area that are not "rip offs". Never again CT.
