Helpful staff, fantastic selection of items - as specified in the flyer!

I went in today desperately to figure out why my car was mildly overheating. After all discussions and explaining my issues, I only was able to speak to Rhianna who pretended that she was a mechanic. When I questioned her aptitude in auto mechanics she called me rude! She called me rude when I asked her about certain unrelated costs on my estimate. They did not address my issue rather telling me that I basically have to sell my car or spend thousands of dollars to replace everything. The worst part was that I was given the message by Rihanna who has not had a day in her life working as an auto mechanic!!!!

I got the Supercycle Lightweight Alloy Rear Bike Rack w/Mounting Hardware, Black, and u know how many instructions they gave me. Zero instructions on how to install shit

Was shopping at the Canadian tire store Saskatoon SK East side location on Preston crossing went to buy and EGO lawn trimmer the call button in the area didnt work wondered around to find someone who said she was going to go and see if any in store 10 min waited she never came back. Walked to checkout girl at check out called someone and she said they may be in automotive and went to look why they would be in automotive and not seasonal cashier told us to wait out of the till so she could help next customer there was no other customers in line and there were 4 other cashiers open with no customers
After writing again we left without buying as horrible service

To Whom It May Concern:

I feel compelled to write this letter of commendation regarding one of your employees in the hardware department named Muhammad. He deserves to be recognized for his excellent customer service manner. Muhammad exemplifies what every employer should value in their employees. Customers feel valued after being served by him and he is clearly an asset to Canadian Tire. Without reservation, I wholeheartedly commend him in his work.

Since I am in my senior years, I have had many experiences interacting with customer service reps of all kinds. I was in your store in June 2026 with the purpose of finding a flat-bed dolly and had the good fortune of being served by Muhammad. It was obvious he had a genuine interest in assisting me to find the product I needed, and did so with a pleasant attitude. He was extremely service-oriented, displaying a long list of admirable qualities. He was attentive, eager to help, knowledgeable and fully-focused on my requests – all qualities that are desirable in anyone serving the public. After I chose one of the products he helped me with, he accompanied me to the cashier and tied up my purchases securely on the flat bed dolly I had chosen because I was walking a couple of miles with it.

You may already be aware of all the notable qualities in Muhammad, but regardless, I think it is worth a letter of commendation for his employment record.

In any business, it is most often the individual staff who define and characterize the company’s reputation portrayed to the public. Because of the customer’s positive experience with the staff, trust is established with the business, loyalty is built, and a desire to continue the business relationship is created.

We purchased a product and 3 weeks later it went on sale. To our surprise CT only allows 7 days to get the difference back. In todays world with almost all major retailers, including U.S retailers, give the consumer 30 days. Our on "Canadian " retailer gives 7 days. Shameful.

Absolute worst customer service. I bought a pair of bolt cutters from this Marine Drive and Ontario location, only to realize they were completely broken. An associate had taken them right out of the display case and walked them to the cashier for me, so they were damaged before I even touched them.When I returned to the customer service desk, the woman working there was incredibly rude. She completely refused to look at the tool or listen to my explanation about how her own colleague handled the sale. Instead, she aggressively told me to take my broken items and leave the store.I have been a loyal Canadian Tire customer longer than this employee has been alive. I have never been spoken to with such disrespect. I will never shop at this location, or any other Canadian Tire, ever again.

I can’t believe I used to work for this company. Majority of my visits to buy something, or visit the post office has been a complete turn of events. If it’s not the employees, it’s the other customers and with the employees not doing anything to help. My visit today was incredibly pathetic. Thankfully I made it to the post office before I was harassed by a security guard named Roy Charles who followed me around as if i was stealing. It’s my job to make sure that I document any kind of discriminatory behaviour and just because this guy got caught following me around he had to act as if I was the one in the wrong. But leave it to the older white staff to get involved and threaten me with the police for literally nothing but shopping for a harness for my dog. Maybe it was my awesome Pomeranian that offended them so greatly? But there was another white woman with her dog on a leash in the store. AT LEAST MINE WAS IN A BAG. And he’s a service animal. But these people knew they couldn’t do anything about it so they harass the only First Nation in the store. I will NOT be returning. Especially when Roy Charles thinks he can make threats to me as I leave.

I wish I could give this store negative stars. I spend a fair amount of money at Canadian Tire and bought a pump for paddle boards that didn’t work and went to return it. I’m told I can’t get a refund because the box was opened. Apparently I need to be able to read the future to know the thing I’m buying is broken. I can’t get credit to spend later either, I need to spend it then and there. So I wander around the store finding things I don’t want to equal the pumps price only to be told it’s still short so I need to either buy the same pump, which I don’t want another of, or buy something of greater value and pay the difference. I don’t want to have to pay more for something I already don’t want. They are never getting a penny from me again.

Why Anazon is grabbing all the sales ? I search Canadien Tire for alarm battery. On the site, there are some in stock at the store near me. I go there, I can't see them. I know that batteries are all together, or they use to be. I can't see them there. I find a young staff, I ask him, he thinks a bit, and directs me to the aile 4. I go there, there are only large chargers, not a single battery. This guy took a wild guess and said the first thing that came to his mind, he was not even far from that aile, you would think that someone with "service in mind" would at least go see if that was true. When I came back, I could no longer see him. I tried looking up the item on my cell, sometimes it says which ailes, not at all. Google kept showing me items on Amazon, and much cheaper. I left and purchased it on Amazon.

The new advertising for canadian tire should be," At canadian tire. We don't just sell tires. We rip you off too! " I'm standing in line waiting to be served and between phone calls these 2 agents were taking they were also upselling 2 customers on $1000s of additional repaires" required". I couldn't take it anymore and walked away from my 20 minute wait.... and I was next in line for all this.

J'ai eu un excellent service, des bons conseils, de résultat de qualité sur les réparations pneus, changement des pneus dans un délais très raisonnable de temps. Un grand merci a Jean Jacque , Canadian Tire, 1250 Moody, Terrebonne. Je vous le recommande fortement.

It was the worst experience on June 24, 2026 (Winnipeg, Garden city center), at the Garden Centre. I wanted to buy a plant, but the woman assisting me didn't know the price. She kept searching for it but couldn't find any information. Then she said we had to wait for the person in charge, Beckam, to arrive. We waited for 40 minutes!

After that, he also spent a long time searching and still couldn't find the price. Finally, we called the main manager, and she found it within a few minutes.

However, the price was $16 for a plant that was almost dying because it was the end of the season. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience.

Bought a lawn mower there, worked great…ONCE! Second time it wouldn’t start (8 days after purchase). Tried to return it for a refund at the Orillia Ont store. They offered an exchange but refused a refund. I was not interested in an exchange for something this bad and was planning on buying a better model elsewhere. I had to take it to a certified dealer 40 km away to get it looked at. Worst customer service I ever had . Manager name was Lindsay.

This is in referral to the store in Windsor Ontario at university plaza....

When is a customer ever right? I went the buy an indoor/ outdoor rug that was on display with the only sign that I could see on a bin with many rugs of different colours. They all were the same size and the price was $19.99. when I went to cash out it came up as $24.99 so I disputed the price only to have the cashier speak to me with a tone and when she called for help I was trying to speak only she got rude and wouldn't let me get word in. I ask for a manager which quickly became a three person team that I felt was intimidating. But of course they would only side with their employee. It was offered that they would accompany me to the bin to see the signage but I tried to explain that I didn't want to walk all the way back into the store as I have a bad foot with pain. At which time not one showed any concern for my discomfort nevertheless care if I purchased or not. I left and went to home hardware to get better service.
FYI this is not the first time I've been treated badly in that store. As far as I'm concerned their employees are mean and miserable so I suggest avoid this store!

Canadian Tire, the store in question, is not far from Newtonbrook High School. {The Young & Steeles Canadian Tire} is known for its low-quality products, rubbish, unfriendly service, and substantially exorbitant pricing. In general, it leaves a lot to be desired. A real dumpster, I'd give it zero stars if I had that option.

Trying to enter the verification code is useless. What kind of electronic service company are you dealing with?. A company of your size should be able to afford top service, not the poor dysfunctional systems you have for various access to your services and sometimes products. These problems have been ongoing for many years, where there is poor and clumsy access to your products.

They have the worst website of any retailer in Canada!
Pages don't load. Continually asks you to sign in. Can't change store location. Get "Oops something went wrong" CONSTANTLY.
If you click on a pop up product while browsing on Facebook or Pinterest it never takes you to the product! I mean...... what's the point of having a website. No wonder so many people give up and just order from Amazon! Which is what I'm doing for truck mats right now! I want to shop Canadian and local but I'm not driving an hour from my house to find that they don't have what I want! Its just PAINFUL! Get your act together Canadian Tire. 0 Stars if I was able.

Bought tires in Duncan, was quoted an install price. Went to the Nanaimo store for install, they jacked up the price. For auto work, Canadian tire will rip you off wherever they can. Never get ypu car serviced with these people, they are scammers and incompetent mechanics.
