I placed an online order for 7 items for my kitchen (3 of which were large and heavy), and it was suddenly being delivered the same day (originally was told when I completed the order it would be delivered the next day). Courier arrived at 5 pm (when I was scheduled to go out for the evening for an appointment) so I quickly grabbed everything he dropped off and moved them into my foyer...I did not check the full contents of my order, until later that night when I got home. Turned out that two smaller items were missing. Rather than treat me like a customer who was missing two items, CT decide it had to investigate, so I waited 11 days and then after several visits, emails and phone calls they told me they had completed their investigation and I could expect a refund in next 10 to 12 days. What poor customer service; I neither required the investigation, nor a refund -just the delivery of the items I originally ordered, which I never received. The store GM even got involved but was no help. Despite showing up at the Merivale Rd store and leaving my name and number, the store manager couldn't be bothered to call me. Won't be ordering from them again.

Bought a motorcycle jack and it is pure junk waste of my money they have changed the design made it cheap goes down too fast can't control it made the ram smaller everything about it is cheap and unsafe this product should not be sold untill they have made it safe people are going to hurt themselves with this product.

So I have a maximum 1/2 inch drive ratchet, was represented as a lifetime warranty at time of purchase. I had only used it maybe half a dozen times and the ratchet started to skip when turning it and the when I switched from left to right, it seized in the middle. I took it back to Canadian Tire to get a replacement, they kept me waiting forever. Then they said that it was discontinued, then they told me that it only had a one year warranty. I argued that the maximum tools carry a lifetime warranty. Went back and forth several times on this before they finally gave me a replacement but they really tried to convince me that the tool did not have lifetime warranty. They could have made it easier and just gave me the replacement. Now this was the Canadian tire at manning centre, other stores might be a little easier to work with but these people were trying real hard to not honour their warranty. I can tell you that in the future that I will be shopping Princess Auto for all of my tools. Hassle free exchanges, I have never had a problem at Princess Auto. The Pro Point are every bit as good as Canadian Tires Maximum tools and again, never a problem with exchanges when a tool screws up.

Strong dissatisfaction regarding Auto services (Center Point Mall), the costs or being forced to purchase products, receiving charges for work or being billed for things like excessive labour time . Never go and refer them to anybody for doing inspection because they are just want to hunt the customers to charge them to sell their product for completing inspection.
Furthermore, their behaviour and interactions involved rude or unprofessional and quite disappointing.

Canadian Tire La Plaine = Pire bande d'incompetants profonds avec lesquels j'ai eu le malheur de dealer. Aucune responsabilité et aucun égard pour la satisfaction des clients. Leur réponse, incluant celle des gérants, est qu'ils ne prennent aucune responsabilité pour les produits qu'ils vendent et qu'ils ne m'aideront pas. Je dois contacter la compagnie qui crée les produits vendus car eux, ils ne supportent pas les clients après l'achat.
Je dépense entre 1000 et $1500 par année chez Canadian Tire mais je ne vais plus jamais retourner dans cette entreprise dorénavant.

Je voulais acheter un chargeur à batterie de tondeuse prix 103$ avec les taxes, le plus cher de la ville. Sur amazon 56.34 avec taxes. Je comprends que amazon est moins cheraus la différence est énorme. Ça fait plus de 3 ans que je fréquente très rarement ce magasin. Toujours plus dispendieux que Rona, Home , Canac. De plus aucun service , pas de personnels à l'horizon. Je suis toujours déçue

A completely useless service that leaves you stranded. I paid for the Gold Family Plan to ensure my entire family was fully covered. I found out the hard way during a breakdown in the middle of rush hour—after waiting on hold for 21 minutes—that my truck is not eligible for a tow.
They refused service because my Chevy 2500 has a GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating) over 8,000 lbs. My actual curb weight is 7,400 lbs. I work in the auto repair business and deal with towing companies daily; this vehicle is no different to tow than any other passenger vehicle under 10,000 lbs.
To make matters worse, their marketing brochures claim you are "covered no matter what vehicle you are in." That is incredibly misleading. I had to sit on the side of a busy road during rush hour, call my own tow truck, and pay entirely out of pocket. Canadian Tire Roadside Assistance added massive aggravation to an already stressful situation. Avoid this plan if you drive a truck.

I was injured due to their documented negligence, compensated via a settlement, and then banned by the dealer in retaliation for speaking out. Corporate Customer service less than helpful. They claim to be unbiased but clearly and factually are biased.

I actually should leave no star at all! Absolutely abysmal customer service at the Kelowna Store. Had to flag down a guy from across the floor for help, he got on his walkie talkie and said somebody from automotive will be right here to assist. 10 minutes Iater no body comes, I go automotive counter, 2 guys having a chin wag. I asked for help and the employee says “ you will have push the red button”. I said in not so nice words my dissatisfaction with the response, a manager then came over and asked me leave. I said no problem buddy. Then went Andre’s got what I wanted in and out of store in 5 minutes. Tell me to push a button? Well that employee pushed mine and he got the appropriate response, well deserved. I will now make a rule never a Canadian Tire store again!

I love my Canadian Tire in Langford, BC. Well organized, friendly staff and competitive prices

I had an extremely bad experience with CT at the Lawrence Ellen Mall. My husband and I went into the store asking where they sell Watering Cans for flowers, and the employee had no idea what we were talking about; he also had earplugs in and said he couldn't hear me. So I raised my voice, and he yelled at me that I was screaming, which was not true. I am a 70+ year old woman with serious disabilities. My husband then asked, and he told us that he was not willing to help either of us, and he kept following us and yelling at us that we were rude. He was a bully, and he should be fired immediately for treating my 80-plus-year-old husband like garbage. It's on camera; I suggest the store review it.

it must be the shitty. site ever. there is NO search par!!! never mind that if you buy something worth a lot of money. like a dirt bike or somthing. and say it brakes on the way home after buying it. your on your own. im not making that up at all. it happened to me. and it was the smallest thing that broke. with in 10 mins of leaving store. i took it back. and was told to call the maker of the dirt bike.

Deplorable inadequate customer service.
Called the auto parts center by wading through menus.Only to get someone say , please hold and hang up. They don't come back. Every once in a while , somebody at the front counter will answer and put me back through to the auto parts where they will say please hold and not come back again. I wasted a half hour last night and didn't get through. The same thing. happened this morning after calling about five or six times. Don't waste your breath , calling these guys for parts. I wasted an hour of time just to try to get a simple price. Canadian Tire is AWFUL. They really need to get their phone game together.
Their price on a refurbished alternator was double that of half a dozen other places online.

I wish I could write a positive review of Canadian Tire on Côte des Neiges, but my recent experience was far from pleasant. I just expanded by 700,000 . I asked the cashier if I could run some errands, when I come back she could find someone to help at the door right there not even a minute she agreed.

I went to do my errands and returned, only to find the cashier gone. I spoke to another cashier, but her demeanour suggested she was the manager. She was rude and unhelpful, and her face seemed perpetually unhappy. She even asked others to come over, but one of them responded in French, “je ne pense pas être un bon idée.” They were perfectly fine with me speaking English, as I’m fluent in both languages.

Overall, my experience at Canadian Tire on Côte des Neiges was disappointing. The expansion was great, but the customer service was terrible.

They sold me a boom box that was defective and would only give me a credit. They should have returned my money. I had the boom box only for an hour. I did not use it. The Manager and the Clerk at Canadian Tire Heron road were rude. They don't care about their customers.

I have a tire that was purchased about a year ago and is now separating and not repairable . I went to my Canadian tire store a bought it at and , they claim, that since they did not install the tire, they will not action the manufacturers warranty. Last time a buy tires from these guys

Overall Canadian Tire in store experience has been good for the past 10 years. However the on line website is a major pain to use. Best to redo it.

I have never experienced a return process this terrible.

I purchased a generator from Canadian Tire, and after the very first use, it started leaking oil. A brand-new generator should not be leaking oil, period.

What should have been a simple return turned into weeks of being bounced around. The store told me to contact the manufacturer. The manufacturer then told me to go back to the store. When neither would take responsibility, I disputed the charge with my credit card company. Even then, I was sent back to the store, then to corporate, and then back again. Everyone seems more interested in passing the problem to someone else than actually helping the customer.

Here’s the part I don’t understand: I didn’t buy the generator from the manufacturer—I bought it from Canadian Tire. Why am I expected to chase down a manufacturer for a product that was defective out of the box? Canadian Tire took my money, so Canadian Tire should stand behind what it sells.

It’s unbelievable that a customer has to fight this hard just to return a defective product. Other retailers simply inspect the item and process the return or exchange. Canadian Tire has made this an exhausting, frustrating experience that has wasted countless hours of my time.

This experience has completely destroyed my confidence in shopping at Canadian Tire. If this is how customers are treated when they receive a defective product, I will think twice before making another major purchase here. A company of this size should be embarrassed by how poorly this situation has been handled.

Do better. Stand behind the products you sell instead of forcing your customers into an endless cycle of finger-pointing and excuses.

We are regular customers at this store (Dundas and Dixie) 20 years. Earlier on today we made a purchase at the store of $80. One of the purchases was a dog toy $14. It lasted not even 2 hours. So we went back to the store for a refund. That's when the problems started. Right off the bat she refused to give us a refund. This didn't sit well with my wife who was clearly agitated and was upset with the situation. The service rep accused my wife of swearing at her. (to my recollection bull shit is not a swear word). Over the years we have spent thousands of dollars in this store and others. To be treated like this is an insult.

Canadian Tire managers need to train their staff on what is a backpack! And if managers don’t know then ask head office. What are the dimensions of a backpack in Canadian Tire’s opinion.I have several purses, nope not packs, purses, some with 2 straps and if I want I can wear these purses as a pack. They are all smaller than most women’s handbags/purses. Today I was asked to leave mine in the locker. Been using said “purse” aka “backpack” to Canadian tire store for past 4 months in my city and actually 3 times in a week at same Canadian tire. Stop the bs. Give us the proper measurements of a pack not some bored spaced out employee who sees a woman wearing what she perceives is a theft bag. I’m 75 years old. I’m not locking my purse in a locker, shopping then going back to locker to get it to have my wallet/phone to pay. By the way Canadian tire all other stores I shopped at with backpack rules didn’t have an issue with my purse/handbag.
