Incompetent internet, full of disconnections (center of Athens)

I'll be short. A hundred disconnections every two weeks from the cafao that I get my optic fiber, which is vodafone's by the way, even if I am at the center of Athens. Insanely incompetent technicians who cant fix this problem for the past 7 months. They always find different inventions to explain their incompetence. This is a blood sucking company, and a cartel runner, the internet providers in greece are legit a mafia that you cant escape from if Inalan doesnt bring fiber to the home at your street. Disgusted by this situation I know I will never find a solution with this company, and I will have to wait for months until inalan brings fiber to the home at my street.

Cosmote: the worst possible choice for long stay i Greece

I spend 8 months a year in Lefkada and I (unfortunately) signed a 2 years contract with Cosmote the last winter. Download speed drops down every week, probably because of the usual increase of tourist in summer. The actual speed verified is less than 1 Mbps and will not change before September. A disaster but they don't care

They mislead customers about their products, stay away

I bought an internet package from Cosmote, for which they were 'subletting' a Vodafone fiber optic line. A year ago, I started having constant disruptions in my connection and asked for technical assistance. The problem was never resolved. Finally, a technician admitted that for 2 years, they have had incompatibility issues with the Vodafone gear, and there is nothing to be done on their side. In other words, for 2 years they knew they were selling an expensive product that they did not actually have. If that is not misleading customer practices, I don't know what is. I asked for compensation for the last year of appalling product quality and they gave me 40E!

Worst experience ever

My experience with Cosmote Greece has been the worst. I've been waiting for three weeks to get connected to the internet in my apartment. Initially, they provided a phone number to contact me, as I'm a foreign citizen without a Greek phone number. However, after the first week, the phone stopped working properly, and now I can't receive calls from them. It's important to note that they only communicate via Greek phone numbers and won't contact you through email or foreign phone numbers.

Today, I called their customer support and ended up spending an additional 50 euros calling a foreign country number. After speaking for 20 minutes and being transferred between over 10 different agents, no one was able to help me fix my problem. It's been a frustrating and disappointing experience with Cosmote. Won't reccomend them ever

They used to be the best phone and…

They used to be the best phone and internet provider in Greece. Now they are just horrible. Every time it rains I can hardly use my phone or browse the internet. After a series of phones to the technical support, several days later, things get improved until the problem is finally solved. When it rains, however, we start all over again. I am very disappointed.

The employees at least in the technical support are always polite, patient, and helpful.

EDIT: The problem has been solved as it does every time. I do not know if it is a coincidene or somebody read this review. I believe it is a coincidence. Every time it rains I deal with this issue which they solve after a few days. If I was not sure that the next time it rains I will have to deal with the same issue I would praise the provider. I will not change my one-star rating for the reason that in the past I never had to deal with these issues. I am grateful ,though, that they solved the issue this time too.

Totally ripped off

Totally ripped off. Pre paid for 6 months on a 2 year plan which they new I would cancel after 6 months. I also had to pay 250 euro bonds. Had to cancel at 5 months to return home but was told the money remaining would be enough to pay the fine for breaking the contract. They took 40+250 and had Solicitors issue me a letter for another 89 euros when I was told when it was cancelled that I would have a credit. Liars and thief's. Don't do business with them as they are not honest in their business practices.

This company is unbelievable.
After Gabon, Oman, Nigeria and a few other countries I have NEVER found a worse provider in my life.

Someone keep me posted if you find one, I might move there to fix things.

I moved from a house to another.I already wait for.10 days for the new internet connection.Impossible to make an appointment with a technician.In the era of computers they live in another century.They do not know to do their work and of course they do not care.

1Gb Fiber bestellt, niemals erhalten, Geld wollen sie trotzdem haben

1Gb Fiber bestellt. Die Firma hat das nie installiert in der Wohnung. Dafür versucht aber das Geld einzutreiben. Es ist nicht möglich den Vertrag zu kündigen, weil deren System bereits über 1 Jahr defekt. Email system funktioniert nicht, Auf Einschreiben per Post reagieren sie nicht, in der Filiale verweigern sie die Kündigung. Alle hardwares abgegeben in der Filiale, wurde schriftlich bestätigt. Jetzt wollen sie das Geld per Rechtsanwalt eintreiben. ich habe ebenfalls ein Rechtsanwalt eingeschaltet und wir sehen uns gern vor Gericht. Ich. habe alle Beweise gegen diese Firma. Sie gehen ungesetzlich vor. Witzig ist in der Geschichte ist, dass mein Rechtsanwalt dieselbe Problemen mit der Firma hat.

Worst service ever

Worst service ever and what a nightmare! I applied for a new internet connection, they never connected me, cancelled my appointments with technician and my application multiple times without giving a reason or informing me. I spent hours on the phone with customer service and even drove 80 km to the store (there isn't one near me) but nothing was resolved and connection not provided. Now they sent me a bill for a service they never provided!

Horrible convoluted app and services…

Horrible convoluted app and services that cause you constant hassle. Never in my life I have seen so much nonsense as in their pay as you go app, namely What's Up. It is intentionally set up so that you constantly run out of one or the other type of resource, so you need to keep topping up minutes, internet data, or sms individually. There is not a single balanced package you can purchase and forget. The value the packages provide is short of theft! Shameful practices that have no place in a modern society. If Cosmote are reading this, fire whoever is responsible instantly and make a fresh start. They only allow topping up three pre-specified fixed amounts and every time you top up, a percentage goes missing without any explanation. As a rough example, if your 'balance' is short 2 Euro to purchase a boost, you have to top up a minimum of around 10 Euro, of which roughly only 8,50 Euro appears on your balance. How is this even legal?

Balance keeps disappearing

Whenever I top up, they keep taking money without any explanation. Topped up by 13 Euros, it appeared only 11 in my balance. Now it's only 8, even though I haven't redeemed any plan yet. I wanted to buy a plan for 8.50, but I can't, because they stole my money, and I have to top up again!? Cowboys, getting greedier and greedier!!!

Συμφώνησα με ηχογραφημένη συνομιλία αλλαγή προγράμματος απο κάρτα σε καρτοσυμβόλαιο με 11,90
Σήμερα μου ήρθε ο λογαριασμός 17,91 και σε επικοινωνία μου με το 13888, μου επιβεβαίωσαν το ίδιο.
Όταν του ζήτησα να ακούσουν το ηχογραφημένο μήνυμα μου είπε κυνικά ότι δεν έχει πρόσβαση. Ζήτησα υπαναχώρηση της σύμβασης (πριν 3 ημέρες έγινε) όποτε μου είπε προχωράμε αλλά επειδή θα μου στείλουν και μια συσκευή, θα περιμένω να την παραλάβω και μετά να τους την στείλω πίσω σε διεύθυνση που θα μου δώσουν και θα επιβαρυνθώ εγώ όλα τα έξοδα. Έγινα κακός για να τον πείσω να καταλάβει ότι εφόσον δεν έχω παραλάβει ακόμη την συσκευή να το ακυρώσει...του είπα εγώ θα αρνηθώ την παραλαβή...και ουσιαστικά με εκβίασε ότι αν δεν ακολουθήσω τις διαδικασίες τους..δεν θα προχωρήσει η διαδικασία υπαναχώρησης....με τα πολλά είπε ότι θα προσπαθήσει να το ακυρώσει... Για ποιο λόγο διαταράσσουν την ψυχική μου υγεία και την οικογενειακή μου γαλήνη Σαββατιάτικα; Δεν τους ζήτησα τίποτε...αυτοί με πήρανε τηλέφωνο. Το σημαντικότερο δεν έχει αναλάβει κάνεις την ευθύνη...ζούμε στην χώρα των Υπευθυνο-ανεύθυνων.
