200% Price increase .Absolutely shocked with the price…

Absolutely shocked with the price increase .I was about to enter into a new 24 month contract on the app. at the end of January 2024 for €24,00 per month less €12,00 per month for a 24 month contract for unlimited data ,calles and 2000 SMS p/m.I hesitated as I wanted confirmation from the store as to the final price .When I went back to yhe app in 1st of February 2024 that contract was €60 less €12,00 p/m for 24 month contract as per app. The customer helper at Cosmote store quoted me €60 with out the €12,00 per month.This price increase of 200 % and inconsistency with pricing between app and store is very disappointing. Baie Baie Cosmote hello Nova.

Cosmoté is Catastrophé

Ongoing terrible customer service, extremely spotty reception (and that with the supposedly best network in Greece), frequently unusable and just generally very bad.
What's surprising is that 60 percent of the company is owned by Deutsche Telekom; one would think they would be a little more concerned about an investment and try to get things into decent shape.
If you're coming to Greece for any extended period go with Vodafone. As much as I detest them, their network works flawlessly in almost all of Greece.

Cosmote customer service is a joke

Everything works out fine with cosmote until you face a problem and need to contact customer service. If you are patient enough to wait and wait till someone answers the phone you will be surprised how inadequate customer service one of the two biggest telecommunications companies is. No solutions whatsoever given to any problem, complete ignorance, childish excuses for not being able to provide the services as promised when signing the contract. Definitely gives customer service a very bad rep

Rip us off

Rip us off. You sign a 2 year contract for mobile service at $28.00 a month, a year later you get a bill for $1,600 and other people more. Try call customer service, its an 801 country area code. 801 numbers are from nigerian scams. They have a 5 digit number to call, its $1.00 to call, then 18 cents per minute. Call them, they keep you on hold for over half hour before hanging up on you.
Go to a local store to itemise the charges they wont and tell you to f.u.c.k off. You dont pay them they take you to court and take your home away.
Legal scammers.

Non existent customer support.

They do everything possible to avoid talking to you and their bots are hopeless, meaning that they can't comprehend even the simplest issues.

Throttling, speed below the law limit and zero customer support

January 7 and from November 15 2023 no answer to my customer support ticket if it even exist, included the fourth one sent before xmas.

Meanwhile, internet via usb tethering sucks below the speed granted by the EU law, there's no acceptable land internet (at least 30Mb granted) to work with at 2.5km from the center of Athens and, the company applies throttling in spite forbidden by the law and me being way below the monthly 200GB of the Unlimited Contract.

Worst part, if I plug in, not in USB tethering but via mobile hot spot, so typically slower than USB Tethering, my other Cosmoter number, which is a prepaid and not a contract, by connecting at the same server, at the same time I have:

37Mb download and 33Mb upload with the prepaid card
4.8Mb download and 6.98Mb upload with the expensive contract.

Yesterday, for the whole damn day I was navigating at 3Mb!!!!!!!! BUT they want 30 euro.

Ντροπή σας. Τραγική εξυπηρέτηση, δεν πιάνει πάντα το κοσμοτε τβ στο κινητό μου (ip14 pro max), λέτε ότι σας κατέβει για την οπτική ίνα…. Απαράδεκτοι! 45 λεπτά στο τηλέφωνο ΚΑΙ ΔΕΝ ΑΠΑΝΤΑΤΕ ΠΟΤΕ! Σε πιάνει μια αηδία

8 days with no internet and still waiting

After just a bad weather night on the 6th of December 2023 we lost internet connection and of course telephony and cosmote tv which we are paying for. Today on the 14th of December NOTHING IS RESTORED. In addition, my fiance is a web developer and it's costing him tons of GB to keep working. Hours and hours of work went to waste 2 days ago as the mobile disconnected on its own and all the work done was just lost. What a mess!!

After you declare the line is not working you can't actually talk to a person !! You only get bots!! The only way for further communication is to chat through the cosmote app but even then they have nothing to tell you!! They only say " we understand your frustration and we are working on it" .. Pfffffffff.. It's not their money and time lost though! Right??? It's our money and time lost! I'm pretty sure we will take this to the court! It's just RIDICULOUS! We live within the Attica region - Keratea to be specific- we are not in some God forgotten place! Shame!

20 years of relationship with this…

20 years of relationship with this company , mixed feelings, joy and dissapointment. Best moment? I was gifted a Samsung Galaxy A34. Worst moment? They charge me 600 euro for watching some porn over 3G back in 2011. Quality of land internet connection depends a lot on your location. It is one of three only options for coms in Greece. So we have to bear them.

They deserve 0 ....not 1 star.

Walked into a Cosmote shop to get a mobile card.
They gave me a local number but they couldn't top up the card as their whole system was down. Trigger warning no1.
They told me to top up the new card via what's up.
That wasn't possible as their sms never reached my mobile in order to instal their app. Trigger warning no2.

Tried on my laptop to install their app and top up but upon entering my new number - a notice pops up saying my number was invalid. Trigger warning no3.

Phoned their customer service after half an hour waiting I gave up... even though their automated voice told me to wait for 3-5 min I waited for close to 30 min.....Trigger warning no 4.

Phoned them 2nd time - after 5 min someone answered but they put me through another number and waited another 20 min with no answer. Trigger warning no5.

That's when I realised best I go with the other operators and never use them again -
how many trigger warnings one needs ?

Cosmote the worst comms service

i use a whatsapp cosmocard which every month gets more and more expensive to top-up. it is like a mafia blackmailing you to pay more and more in order to keep your number. the diy options keep disappearing. the basic plan has also disappeared. the simple pay as you go plan costs almost 5 euro for nothing. the 1 talk minute costs almost 1 euro... this is the worst service in the world. the customer service too is totally unacceptable. every month you must keep reminders to remind you to check what has changed in order to investigate and proceed with renewing your balance. if you forget to renew, any remaining small amount e.g. 1.5 euro "expires" and you loose it because the MAFIA takes it. it is pathetic....

Bad service..

Lamest company ever.

Their customer service department should be called the customer suffering service department.

I sent them 2 mails in advance to tell me how to cancel my landline, but they never replied.
I called them more than a month in advance , and they told me"too early" call 10 days before the date you want. I explained, where i go i can't reach you, they told me no problem you will. At the end I had to call the Germanos store (the go between store who handles the requests) 6 times.
I couldn't speak to cosmote direct , the tel number wasn't fuctioning as i said to them the first time because i was abroad.

Sent them a 3rd mail but no response. A friend left a message, and they called me to cancel the line only to find out an hour later that they canceled the line 1 week earlier, leaving a 90 year old family member with no telephone.

I was under the impression that because the head company is German, cosmote would fuction like German companies, but i was wrong.

Use Cosmote again?Never Never again in my life.

1. Greece has the most expensive and at the same time slowest internet in Europe.

2. Cosmote's support number (the one you call when abroad) is out of service.

3. When trying to call from a Greek number, I spend over 5 minutes talking to their bot just to hear at the end "all our agents are busy, call later" and the line droped. My home internet is still not working.

4. If you respect yourself, don't go for Cosmote in any of their services.

absolutely woeful customer service

absolutely woeful customer service. Made 4 calls for over TWO HOURS without even being answered...I would advise not to waste your time with this company who clearly do not value your custom BUT in Greece there are few alternatives for internet providers. If there was a fair competitive market in Greece this provider would not exist

Telecommunications in Greece are very poor and expensive

All the telecommunication companies in Greece compete to which one is the worst. Cosmote maybe is not at the bottom of the barrel but is close by enough.
Reasons: Overpriced services and very poor support (as it happens with the rest of the companies in this field)
Also the(mandatory) monthly top up service is becoming more expensive every year (now its up to 13 euros from 10 that was initially).

Λυπάμαι πάρα πολύ που μας θεωρούν ιθαγενεις οι Γερμανοί ιδιοκτήτες..Η Άρια φυλή..Περιμένω 45 λεπτά ήδη στο τηλ.για να ζητήσω βοήθεια με το cosmote tv, που δε δουλεύει..Την προηγούμενη φορά έφυγα από την cosmote για 5 χρόνια..Τώρα θα φύγω για πάντα όπως πάνε...
