Ordered a bedding set. Initially customer service was great. One item was out of stock so they replaced with a comparable item and added some freebies.

Bedding arrived and duvet cover has a small hole. They replaced it swiftly.

Sadly, the quality is just really poor. After only a couple of months of use the fitted sheet has pilled all over. Despite washing everything in cold water and air drying the fitted sheet shrank so much it barely fits. The duvet cover is tearing at the seams. After two washes the buttons on the duvet cover are falling off (washing gentle cycle and with all buttons closed as instructed).

I went to the website today and looks like they’ve closed it down. Really disappointed and will hope that there is still a customer service team working to comply with their stated warranty program.

The bedding I ordered was much more shiny and thin than I thought it would be from the description. I decided to send it back for a refund. Firstly, they charge you a processing fee for a refund and they don't pay for your postage to return. But more annoying, it has been a month since I returned my order and I still haven't received a refund. I am now having to raise a dispute through my credit card provider. Avoid at all costs.

Shockingly bad customer service - and that was from James, the company founder. There is nothing Ethical about this company. Having received a personal email from James, titled “our best ever sale offer”, I placed an order for king size mattress, bed and bedding. Emails flooded in saying “order received” and “order confirmed” , later followed by an email from James saying some items should not have been included in the offer, including the mattress. James offered me some inferior mattresses from random unknown manufacturers, not from their own CocoCore plant-based range. These mattresses contained dead animal products, wool, silk, horsehair etc. they were also manifestly lower quality (eg only 3,000 springs vs the 11,000 I had ordered and paid for) - and he wanted me to pay extra for the privilege. I told him I didn’t accept these poor substitutions and so also did not want the duvets, sheets etc as I don’t own a king size bed. Lo and behold, later that day “order dispatched” for all the bedding without a mattress. I was then told they were trying to stop the order. It took me over 2 weeks to get a refund and they deducted £147.20 as “re-stocking fee” as I rejected a load of bedding as they had cancelled the mattress.

I still haven’t received my £147, not even had a reply to this. Jame’s (company founder) excuses “Mistakes happen” and “Shame it didn’t work out”. Do not trust this company, once they had my money, I was treated like dirt.

Horrible customer service. Not being treated remotely like a valued customer. Made my order and then was told that the items I requested are not available and that I've been provided 'indistinguishable' items in replacement. Not asked but told. Then my order gets split in two and i receive part one of my order with the box completely wrecked. Part 2 i still havent received and i am being ignored by the founder (hard to believe) and customer service. I was also promised a gift card which shocklingly hasnt materialised either. So i'm here with only part of my order (an order which was changed without consulting me), different items to what i requested, no gift card, a completely missing second part of my order, ignored by customer service, etc. The list just goes on. Absolutely awful service.

Extremely disappointed with this company’s handling of returns.
We initially ordered bedding in the wrong size, returned it promptly, and immediately placed a new order in the correct size. Both orders arrived creased (which is completely normal for packaged bedding), yet our refund has been refused on the basis that the returned item was “creased.”
This is not a valid or reasonable justification to deny a refund—especially when the item arrived in that condition to begin with. To make matters worse, the company has now stopped responding to our emails entirely.
As returning customers, this experience has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. A fair resolution would be to process the refund without further delay.
I would strongly advise others to be cautious when ordering, as the returns process does not appear to be handled fairly or transparently.

I ordered dye a month ago and still not received it. I emailed 3 times with no reply. I tried two addresses, which I only found by checking my order confirmation and marketing email as there is no contact address on the website. I certainly wont order anything more expensive from them.

Literally never fulfilled my order, confused themselves on their own system and think they fulfilled my order when they didn’t (because they sent me the wrong merchandise) and are now ignoring my emails after me chasing them for over a year and them saying that I could expect to receive my order in 3-4 months each time. Pathetic. I was so patient.

Original order was good and high quality.

Subsequent order in November was never delivered, I followed up and they only responded once ("out of stock, might have it back by end of December"), but if I hadn't followed up they would have just taken my money and never delivered anything.

I've subsequently followed up multiple times and have been ignored, so have been forced to dispute the charges with AMEX.

Absolutely zero customer service. They sent beautiful sheets that were not the colour I ordered. All I wanted to do was talk with them, exchange the colour but they do not respond. Meanwhile they bombard me with marketing emails. They also have a 25% fee for any returns even if unused.

I am a repeat customer and I have been trying to get a hold of them via email, form on the website, DMs and social media all to no avail. The funniest part is I'm trying to buy more from them! I will spend my money elsewhere where customer service matters to a company when someone is trying to spend money with them.

I placed an order on 6 Dec for £498, which included 4 pillows purchased as gifts. These are now unwanted and unused and despite contacting the company on 3 distinct occasions by email and their online contact route, it has ignored my messages. My request is that the company adopt the routine practice of good companies, namely to extent the return period during the Christmas festive period. Besides, this company has a restricted returns policy of only 14 days.

I found Ethical Bedding after reading online reviews for traditional silk pillowcases. I've had silk pillowcases for a few years now and loved them, but haven't enjoyed how they're not particularly durable. The review I read pointed out that eucalyptus silk would likely solve that specific problem, whilst maintaining the silky smooth texture (I have very curly hair so this is a huge priority to me), and so far I have zero complaints! There's no extra frizz in the morning and I'm chuffed.

I must also add I had to reach out to customer service with a stock issue problem and Lucy could not have been more helpful in offering solutions - what a gem!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Ethical Bedding! Even though there was an issue with their ordering system that allowed me to purchase items that were out of stock, the way this company handled everything was truly exceptional. From the very start, they went above and beyond to make things right, showing a level of care and professionalism that’s incredibly rare these days.

Lucy has been absolutely amazing — she’s been helping me since spring with such patience and kindness. When my desired items finally came back in stock, Ethical Bedding surprised me by sending them completely free of charge, along with a beautiful, high-quality tote bag! What an incredible and thoughtful gesture.

They first sent the duvet cover and later the matching sheets once those were available — such generosity and attention to detail! And the Eucalyptus bed set itself is a dream come true: luxuriously soft, airy, and breathable, keeping the skin comfortable and isn't drying it out like cotton. It’s by far the best bedding I’ve ever owned.
I’m now planning to get another set for my parents before it sells out again — and it’s no wonder it’s so popular! Ethical Bedding truly has it all: sustainability, outstanding quality, and customer service that’s second to none. What more could anyone ask for?

I've bought eucalyptus sheets and pillowcases from Ethical Bedding in the past and love them so much for their high quality and silky soft feel. This time I bought more pillowcases because they are so much more effective than traditional silk ones at stopping my curly hair turning into frizz by the morning.

I doubt I will buy bed linen anywhere else now. Planning to buy duvet covers soon.

Items are usually despatched very quickly and sent 1st Class. Customer service has been great when I needed it too.

Well… what a wait! Clearly some supply chain issues but I’m so glad I stuck with it and endured to receive the bedding set. It really is sooo good. So soft it may as well be silk and is really lovely to be rapped up in. I’m convinced I sleep better because of it. Highly recommended and much appreciation for the Ethical Bedding team! Exquisite pillow cases, once you try eucalyptus silk you will never go back. Feels cool and fresh against skin and no friction - so great for keeping hair tangle free. I feel these aid a good nights sleep, also knowing that the products are ethical only adds to this.

Loved the pillowcases. Just what we wanted for my client who insisted on ethical and no nasties for her health issues. Recommended.
