They sent me a broken screen

They sent me a broken screen: a black spot was present right there on the screen as soon as I JUST plugged in the cable (WITHOUT even INSTALLING the screen)... You have to check if the screen you receive works, right? But... With photos and videos to proves it, I reported the problem and asked for an exchange: The company "I(dont)FixIt" categorically refused and said that I broke the screen myself ! (but I only PLUGGED IT IN!!! I didn't INSTALLED IT!)... They're crooks... This company doesn't deserve to exist. €200 for a screen that you can find equivalent for between €50 and €100 on Amazon... (Maybe worst quality ? But except that on Amazon, you can return parts WITHOUT BEING WRONGLY ACCUSED ! And receive a new one until it works !)...
I hope IFixIt will disappears soon...

Apple IPhone 4s Akku

Habe einen Akku mit Reparatur Set bestellt.
Ein YouTuber wirbt immer davon, wie gut IFixit ist.
Mein Akku war größer als das Originale, wobei ich bisschen was machen musste, damit es passt.
Ist leider schlechter als erwartet.
Der Akku verliert alle 30 Sekunden, 1%.
Der Akku ist Mist.

Ich brauche zu meiner Bestellung eine Rechnung, im Paket war keine. Da ich als Gast bestellt habe, gibt es für deb chat bot keine Möglichkeit und echte menschen arbeiten dort nicht und bekommt niemand zu fassen per mail oder chat, vom Telefon ganz zu schweigen. Richtig Mies!

Top notch!

Recently bought and installed your replacement battery offering for the 1st gen iPhone SE. Everything in the process went absolutely smoothly - fast dispatch, and delivery by UPS. Well packaged. Absolutely fair prices for the required tools that iFixit also sell. Instructions are very helpful. Battery is top notch with 100% capacity and lasts for days as when the phone was new.

Extremely poor customer service

My husband purchased an airpod pro case for me for my newly purchased airpod. when he got home i tried it on my airpod; there were two pieces, not connected. the top portion just sat on the top cover of my airpod. it didn't stick to it or stay in place. it just sat there, do anything to it, it just fell off. I took it back to Walmart within a couple hours of purchase to the Ifixandrepair store for a refund. I was told NO REFUNDS..exchange only, it's on the receipt. Well first of all my husband was not given a receipt; it was emailed to him, and he was never verbally told no refunds. I went and picked out another case; there was only one style, and it was the same as i was returning. I was told I'd have to prove it didn't fit properly, which meant I'd have to go back home, get my airpods and return back to the store. I has so frustrated; the case served no purpose for me since it didn't fit properly, I just told the clerk to keep the case and I walked out.
I will never purchase or use their services again and will tell everyone I know not to use them either.

Horrible customer service

Horrible customer service. They refuse to correct their invoice that they issued wrongly. They charged VAT even though I ordered as a company from another EU country, which is by law supposed to be 0% VAT. I even entered my VAT number and company name during checkout.

After asking to issue a credit note and provide a correct invoice, they flat out tell you: no.

So if you ever need any service from them, expect them to basically tell you to get lost.

Disappointing experience with customer service and warranty policy

I was initially enthusiastic about iFixit because of their clear repair guides and wide selection of parts, but my experience with their customer service has been very disappointing.

When I received a defective part and contacted them, my report was dismissed almost immediately without proper investigation. They quickly assumed the issue was caused by me, and therefore stated it would not be covered under warranty. This decision was made without any solid evidence, even though I handled the part carefully and followed all instructions.

No reasonable solution was offered, which is not what I would expect from a company that claims to value reliability and sustainability.

I hope iFixit takes more responsibility in cases like this in the future. For now, I cannot recommend them.

Great experience

I purchased a Pixel battery replacement while I was in Europe and everything was as described.

Shipping wasn't that fast but it was during the holidays so I guess that was the main reason.

Love the tools they provided with the kit.

Fantastic customer service

Recently purchased a replacement screen from this company as they are the manufacturer approved reseller. The customer service experience was fantastic throughout, very polite and willing to go over and beyond to assist where needed.

Reparaturset ohne Anleitung

Erst wurde eine Dichtung für die Aple-Watch (Serie 6) als Kleber für das Display verkauft. Hat natürlich nicht funktioniert! Dann den TESA Kleber (Best-Nr. IF441-009-2) bestellt, wieder ohne jegliche Beschreibung bzw. Verarbeitungshinweise. Auch dies hat das Display nicht dauerhaft verklebt (hielt ca. 12 Stunden).
Fazit: hat nur Kosten verursacht, kann die von dieser Firma gelieferten "Ersatzteile" nicht empfehlen.

Very bad customer service

Received a bad screen for my pixel 7 pro apparently (noticed after 1 week use)
Ordered another one so I don't have don't have down time with my phone and have time to make the warranty claim for the first screen.
I get accusations that it is installer error and have to pay for the broken rubbish they send and the latest one I ordered
It is ridiculous I have to spent so much time to get my money back for a Inferior product.
Never ordering here again.

I Ordered an Ipad pro 2018 screen from…

I Ordered an Ipad pro 2018 screen from Ifixit and it arrived broken , then the replacement arrived broken too.

Although it was more then 2 times the price then other stores I trusted Ifixit as I have a lot of tools from them and was willing to pay the price for security and quality.

Unfortunatly the screen arrived very damaged because the packaging was very bad, but this was not a big problem as mistakes can happen to everyone.

When I contacted customer support I explained that the packaging was bad , the screen protection packaging was not sealed so the screen was able to slide out of the white protection cover, on top of that the protection was loose inside the shipping box with no filler.

So what happened was that the protection box was able to slide around in the shipping box and because the protection box it self wasn't sealed the screen slided out and got damaged.

Ifixit was quick to respond with a return label and send me a new screen.

Unfortunatly the packaging was exactly the same and although the screen this time didn't look damaged, when I connected it I saw the LCD was broken from the inside.

Ifixt did ask me again to return both the screens for a complained to the shipping partner and gave me a refund (although at this point I have not yet received the refund).
But for me this is clearly an Ifixit packaging issue and not shipping partner issue.
Its sad to see that none of the feedback I gave from the first broken screen was used.

Now instead of me being able to give a second live to an ipad , 2 more screen are added to the electronic garbage dumb :( .
So much for promoting repairs if parts keep arriving damaged.

I ordered a new screen from AliExpress for half the price, Lets hope they do better (as this has been a good experience in the past)

A website seemingly designed around Dark Patterns

Despite a baffling website which bounces between UK/EU/US with each link therefore breaking the connection with order history, when I managed to request a return it was sorted within hours. Excellent customer service if you're able to track it down

Severely delayed shipping, UK customers be warned!

After breaking my phone screen, I ordered a replacement kit from iFixit. The order was over a week late, meaning I was unable to reply to important messages on my phone for this time. When I contacted customer service about this they just blamed the shipping company for the delays and refused to take any accountability. I had to chase up the shipping company myself to find out where my order was. Upon asking iFixit to compensate me to make up for the severe delays, they had the gall to offer me a measly £5 off on a future order despite me paying over £100 for this order. There won’t be a future order, because I won’t be buying from them again.

Edit: iFixit got back in touch with me to offer me a £10 refund on this order, so I have decided to change the rating to 2 stars
