Faulty fire angel smoke detector

I have fire angel smoke detector which was giving false alarms. Contacted customer service, and my query was handled by Sophia. She ran through the problems I was having, and advised me to vacuum clean the vents, and when this did not work she arranged for a new unit to be sent to me

Never use them again!

Having been a private landlord for over 30 years and a letting agent owner managing c. 400 properties for 10 years we used to fit/recommend Fire Angel (FA)units. However, over the last 5-6 years we have had countless wireless intelinked units failing, despite them advertising a 10 year battery life.
If lucky you will get 3-5 years and by then FA do not want to know. Had various conversations with them and found them to be short and dismissive.
I've had 8 units in 2 properties over the last year which have all failed.
If you are a landlord or even a home owner do you really want to be paying c. £150 - £180 each time for replacements.
There's way better out there.

UPDATE - 19 March 2026. After receiving a reply from FA to request proof of purchase etc so they could review this, I would never contact them again. I’ve been down this road with them in the past and have no interest in dealing with them again.
This is not a one off failure and believe they are not fit for purpose. It would appear other people have had the same experience by the reviews. It’s ok thanks, I’ll be going elsewhere and recommending others do similar.

As you can appreciate, no manufacturer of electronic safety products can completely eliminate the possibility of occasional product failure, hence, the reason for a warranty period.

In order for us to help you further, please email proofofpurchase@fireangeltech.com, and include the proof of purchase for the units you are referring to. We will then be able to review your case and check if you are eligible to make a warranty claim.

Warranty ST 632 they are useless.

It seems to be a common complaint and problem here and on other forums out there that the ST 632 Pro connected batteries are failing around 3 to 4 years into their 10 year life , I bought 10 ST 632 for 2 houses in Scotland in 2022 and 4 are now dud , at £50 a piece that's not fair play. 17th March 2026 - I have been trying to get a resolution for the past 2 weeks , the company will make up any feeble excuse, delay replying to not to replace them under the 5 year warranty. I had a friend who bought them for me and posted them as I could not get the ST 632 locally in Scotland I have the receipt from B & Q , my friend is no longer with us , and Fireangel refuse to replace them. 5 are less than 4 years old and are useless , Im sure that in another year all 10 will be useless. The Fireangel brand is advertising and selling these as '10 year life' , with 5 year warranty , and they last for 4 years , its verging on fraud. The ones I have were clearly bought in B and Q and I have the invoice , and the actual physical smoke alarms with batch codes to verify but because a piece of paper is not in my name they are just using that as an excuse not to replace them . As I had just spent £500 on their products - At the time of purchase I called Fireangel UK support to ask about registering warranty , and all they said was if I need to make a warranty claim all I need is 'proof of purchase' , which I have , there was never a mention of who actually purchased them - it is misrepresentation at least. I have given them another 24 hours to resolve this issue and if not I intend to take them to task legally with the support of Trading Standards I cant afford to drop another £600 , its a disgrace and no way to treat a consumer who puts trust in their brand and advertising ploys to buy their products.

My advice here on Trustpilot , DO NOT TRUST Fireangel products to last for the advertised life they promise, go elsewhere ...

EDIT: Due to response below from Fireangel All this would not have been necessary if the UK Fireangel support admin tel and email was functioning better , my first point of contact almost 3 weeks ago was a call indicating the B&Q receipt which now seems to have been accepted. Perhaps from a management point of view a systems review is necessary.

First rate Customer Service

I honestly cannot fault FireAngel with my request for help. I have linked smoke and heat alarms and one was faulty. My phone calls were answered immediately and I was helped to identify the malfunctioning alarm. Then guided through the process to receive a replacement.

Look elsewhere

This companies interlink connected alarms are atrocious! Specifically their Fireangel Pro and WI-Safe 2 devices. The app for Android no longer works. It's been mentioned that it doesn't work beyond Android 14, which takes all of the functionality out of them being 'connected'. When I open the app now the graphic just spins and never provides a log in screen.

When the App was working it was next to useless with no way to silence alarms or remove un-learnt devices from view. Lots of false alarms in the early hours of the morning, short circuit faults, sensor faults, batteries only lasting a year or two into the advertised ten.

I now have 8 expensive devices that I use as stand alone 'dumb' devices. I will never, ever purchase another product from this brand. I simply do not trust them or their technology to keep my family safe.

For those looking to buy smart, fire safety products in the future: read the app store reviews - it will tell you everything you need to know!

Fast Efficient Service

On phoning the Company to seek a replacement the Customer Service was excellent- once I had given details required it was confirmed a replacement would be sent which I have received with a week. Very efficient. Mention to Sophia and Alan who assisted me👏

Faulty smoke alarm

I have a smoke alarm that is faulty. I called FireAngel who informed me that it came with a 5 year warranty as long as I had proof of purchase. I emailed the proof and they got back informing me that a replacement would be sent. All this within a 6 hours.
Excellent customer service and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend FireAngel

Great customer service

After my fire alarm continuously kept going off i contacted customer services and was greeted by a lovely chap named Robbie who after a few questions diagnosed that the alarm was faulty and told me that a replacement was needed. After emailing him proof of purchase he promptly replied to inform me that this particular model was out of stock and replacement should be with me in 5 to 7 working days. Well done Robbie.

Very good customer service

Very good customer service. Called up once with suspected faulty item. Robbie suggested a solution of ‘hoovering ‘ the device which I did but the device still didn’t work . Told them and got an email back shortly saying that a replacement would be sent out straight away. No fuss. Thanks Robbie!

Fire Angel lived up to their product warranty of 10 years, and thanks to the employee Robbie, we received a brand new carbon monoxide alarm. Fantastic service that shows that Fire Angel is a 100% serious company.

SW1 Smoke Alarm - A Great Response

A great response from FireAngel. My SW1 smoke alarm failed and I rang and explained what had happened. They made sure I had carried out some simple checks, asked for details about the alarm and my purchase, and then followed up by sending me a replacement.
