Quick, easy and very helpful
We were in a bit of a stressful and time-sensitive situation.
I contacted ILA.co.uk 4pm on a Friday to book an appointment for 8am Monday - all booked, with clear instructions of what to send, and they were very responsive on email between booking and appointment too (surprising given how late I left the booking and it was over weekend).
The meeting itself was straightforward - and all done via video call.
We dealt with Luke Baldwin, who was a star to deal with and even emailed after to assist with jobs.
I would highly recommend ILA.co.uk

Dishonest pricing
Beware, this company is dishonest. True pricing not reflective of price quoted at appointment. I was quoted £250+VAT for ILA for a gifted deposit for my son to purchase his first home. At the appointment, the quoted price increased to £650 (for a 20-minute consultation)! Massive waste of my time - had I known, I would have booked another appointment, and now my son’s house purchase is delayed as a result.

We have reviewed the initial enquiry carefully. It appears that the Independent Legal Advice appointment did not proceed because we did not receive confirmation that you wished to go ahead once the relevant details were discussed and quote provided.
With regard to Independent Legal Advice for gifted funds, these matters are priced on enquiry as circumstances can vary significantly from one client to another. Gifts often require additional time, enhanced due diligence, and stricter compliance checks to ensure we provide accurate and appropriate advice tailored to the individual situation. For this reason, we ask clients to contact us directly so we can confirm the fee in writing before any work begins.
This approach is set out both in our pricing information and on our booking platform, where we explain that fees for gifts, higher-value transactions, and certain international residency situations are provided on enquiry to ensure transparency and fairness. This is set out as follows:
