The site was really easy to navigate. I was looking for a reasonable priced/powerful laptop to play games on. The filters let me narrow down my search and it lists the specs clearly so you can make an informed decision. I have used them in the past for laptops and pcs and never have had an issue. It's all very straight forward and delivery is fast. I repeatedly return to this site whenever I need to buy a personal computer
Horrible company. Horrible customer service.
They sold me a DEFECTED product that I tried to fix with the manufacturer for more than 6 months. Nothing could be done. I contacted them and sent the laptop for them to inspect and provide a replacement, they simply lost the laptop in their warehouse for 3 weeks. They were AFFIRMING they didn't receive it even with PROOF from the courier, so for 3 weeks I thought the laptop was simply gone. Then out of nowhere someone called saying they were sending the laptop back because the could not find any issue with it so I am pretty sure I will receive it back with the same issue. Nightmare! Would NOT recommend!

Never ever again will order from the laptopdirect. I ordered the item on 14th, paid for express delivery. I should get my order before on an 18th. Not receive yet. Today contact customer service and find out they don't have in stock the stuff i ordered. They have no clue when they will got. That's yoke. That was gift for my son for Christmas. Never ever again. How they can even sale the stuff, they don't have on stock!?

Same experience for me as several others below....ordered a laptop that was "in stock", but clearly wasn't. No indication of an actual delivery time, only way to contact them was via a premium rate phone line with really long wait times. I ended up cancelling the order.

Really helpful customer service, plus intelligent and efficient. Tried to understand my needs as a customer instead of just overselling. Highly recommend.
Placed express order, received a delivery date confirmation and stock was available just to suddenly ending up in a week of debate of no stock/yes stock confirmed your order will be allocated and shipped tomorrow to back again no stock. As of today, the same item (AOC 25G3ZM 25" Full HD 240Hz VA Gaming Monitor) is available to purchase on their Irish and UK website despite telling me no stock is there for me, so there is something really wrong going on here which I will ask consumer protection and trading standards to investigate. I have called 5 times, emailed back and forth about 6-7 times, tried to complaints line- no answer, customer services today 45 minutes waiting on premium charge line because you are transferred to the "correct premium line", no answer (after 45 minutes, truly shocking), escalation requests to a supervisor or manager fobbed off via email no stock buy a worse or more expensive model of us or why don't you just cancel the order. As a customer I feel my money was used by the company with no real commitment or intent on delivering me anything. So if you actually want an item delivered on time (for Xmas or a birthday) with no extra hassle you have to shop elsewhere. I also think to quote only the Trustpilot UK website reviews on their ie website but not their Irish Customer Reviews is not right and very misleading to customers. Don't buy here is my advice, really should have know from below reviews....they are spot on.
As a follow up I tried calling the sales line next day (which surprisingly answer immediately) and they were still happy to sell me the monitor once again confirming a one week lead time for me to receive the item at my address (even after getting my Irish Post Code and email which was strange to ask just to check stock) on the phone when I queried that clearly this can't be right as I already have an order with them and they have no stock and no delivery date confirmation the sales person laughed and explained they don't have stock in their location the supplier ships the orders for them. So essentially they are a drop ship company which is nowhere explained on their website. I contacted the actual monitor manufacturer and they confirmed that the product is easily available for traders to purchase in UK and Ire and in stock so they were a bit confused. So I guess my money was used for something else but not to place an order with the manufacturer and that is why there is no stock! Still awaiting refund by the way which they thought was an absolute olympic achievement on their part after another 1 hour talking to three different people including their manager of the BUY IT Direct Group and how dare I ask for compensation of 20 Euro for all the calls and time wasted - now, I was belittled I really need to keep in mind (as a non returning upset customer) that their brilliant refund of my own money will take another week. I was also told that all shipping dates on their Irish site are UK express confirmed dates but if you read the small print even the express is only confirmed as a from date?! So you are paying extra express charges for an item not in stock, confirmed for a before a specific date shipment date but that date is a confirmed date from only ? And you only get delivery dates for the UK? I asked the manager if he was actually for real telling me this and he could not really answer me. Consumer Protection in particular when it comes to drop shipments advises that consumers are protected by clear delivery explanations on the website and email communication. Here they are unclear hidden and ambiguous. I got the impression that the excuses the company has is part of a cheat cheat and many heard them before. Not reputable in any way, BBC watchdog involved at this stage as well.
Update: after over a month I now get a reply on Trustpilot because this company hopes if I don't provide additional information (which they already have!!!) so that the review magically disappears no way!!! I provided additional info via Trustpilot once more so honest review with very bad experience stands, next time simply treat customers with respect!!!

Absolutely avoid - both for business or personal orders. I rarely write these reviews - but the supply chain & customer experience with this company - deserves other people to be warned - so they don;t suffer the same experience that I've had.
We decided to test Laptopdirect in Ireland as recommended by some staff (we're a good sized Gaming company) as decent spec units, at solid cost available - BUT - other staff said "DON'T DO IT..." as people had had bad delivery experiences. So - I ordered one as test.
We won't be doing it again - and I'd urge people to avoid the business.
Expressly asked for express delivery for date X. This was confirmed.
Laptop didn't arrive. No email, phone, or comms.
Checked account. Date had been changed, without telling us.
Waited for 2nd date. Laptop not arrived. No email, phone, or comms.
Checked account again - a NEW date - so rang them.
Had to ring on a premium rate number to the UK - as their local Irish number was unreachable.
15 minutes on a premium line BEFORE I could get to talk to someone.
Feedback on call was "yes, we've changed the delivery date a few times, apologies...".
When I dug into the detail - the PC had still not been delivered to the main warehouse - so NO delivery order had even been raised yet, they couldn't tell me when the PC would be delivered - and weren't sure why I wasn't getting any pushed (ie: email etc) udpates.
If they'd been upfront about delays - would have been less of an issue - AND if they'd said on checkout "delivery date is an estimation, etc..." that'd probably be ok - but to confirm a) confirm express delivery and not do that b) not communicate subsequent changes c) have no clue on delivery date when we're paid a premium number to get resolution - everything screams a business that massively over promises and will continue to under deliver - in particular - in particular when they take payment up front.
AVOID.
laptopsdirect.ie - a UK company. Presumably I'll be required to pay EU import duty & vat in addition to cost?

Shambolic customer service.
I bought a mobile phone on April 19th. It arrived shortly afterwards. However, it has a fault on the camera, displaying an error message as soon as you open the camera, and saying that some functions may not be available. As the camera is very important to me and I paid for a phone that works, I contacted customer support. This starts a chain of robotic response emails where I get asked the same stupid questions over and over. Eventually, after me going through a whole series of emails and telephone calls and troubleshooting steps, it's decided that the item should be returned for 'repair'. It is now the 27th of April. Then, as you cannot post a battery item in Ireland, collection is arranged...and doesn't happen...3x in a row. By the time the phone is finally collected, it is 23rd May. I am then contacted to say that the phone has no issue (the person I'm speaking to doesn't even know what fault we're talking about - I explain - I'm told again that the tech team cannot find the fault, it 'must have resolved itself with the factory reset' which you are required to do before sending back). I am sceptical but reluctantly agree that they can send me the phone back. Bear in mind that on 19th April I needed the phone and it is now June...so in the meantime had to spend money I didn't have on another phone...The phone arrived back on 7th June with exactly the same fault!
Again I contact the case support team, again I get nonsensical robotic emails apologising insincerely (whilst never actually reading any reply you send) and I am asked again for proof... This time they want a video...
This is the worst company I have ever dealt with and I will never buy from them again.
I have been robbed of over 200€ and still have a phone that doesn't work and am back at step one of the complaints process (remember it took them a month to collect the first time and their tech team are so incompetent they apparently can't open the camera application...as if they had, they would have seen the fault).
Speechless is the politest I can be!

The phone was eventually collected by the courier once again. Not on the day announced, and they came with no warning. It was only by chance someone was home. This took them 6 weeks...
Once returned to them they claimed that there was a pin on the phone for which I had to provide the number. Something that is impossible given that I didn't put a pin on it. This company is a lying, thieving bunch of scammers. I will obviously never see my money again, and they have now once again returned the phone to me despite me telling them numerous times that I do not want the phone back and that I did not put a pin on the phone. Their customer service people continually come back with worthless insincere apologies. They clearly never speak to each other (sometimes you receive two separate emails on the same day either talking about the same thing or a different slant in the same thing). They also seem incapable of reading plain English.
To say that the experience has been traumatic is an understatement, and I'm not even referring to the financial aspect.

At this moment I am connected to customer support via chat and am writing this review while I wait for a reply. I received a 'Hello, how can I help you?' and have since been waiting 15 minutes for a response to my query.

Laptops Direct claim to offer a 12 month warranty. When I experienced an issue, they told me that they couldn't help me and that I needed to contact Lenovo directly. However, Lenovo informed me that I only had a 6 month warranty.
I've since tried on numerous occasions to ask for clarification via their online chat. I have never experienced such poor customer service via chat. It's extremely difficult to manouevre to speaking with a person. And, if you do manage to speak to a person, they are anything but helpful.
If you do make it to chat, make sure you write something every 3 minutes or they will end the chat due to inactivity, even if you are in the process of typing an answer to their question.
I purchased 2 laptops around the same time. Delivery was delayed for both and there was little to no communication or tracking.
I chose not to request a refund because they offered to refund the cost of delivery and give me an additional discount. Iif anyone is unsure about this company, please let me advise you to look elsewhere.
They will not fix any problems. You will not get help from customer service. Delivery will be a nightmare.

Ordered a laptop, wrong spec advertised. Not a major difference or much of a problem but enough to make me consider returning the unit. Spoke with customer care who were very prompt and helpful. I would definitely return in the future because of this.

Slow delivery, unacceptable delivery times, paid over €1,100 for a tv and been waiting 18 days and still no sign of delivery. Customer service no help, no tracking, on site only says Your delivery is scheduled for 26th of January, then when I check today it says, Wednesday 1st February by BOXER LOGISTICS, it's now the 8th of Februry and no idea when it will arrive.
A perfect storm of shambolic customer and carrier service.
You can wait from 6 to 72 hours for a response from customer service.
The carrier doesn't make contact about delivery and returns your stuff to UK if no one home. The tracking references don't work either.
9 days in, so far refunded €21.65 for my speedy delivery payment. God only knows when the payment for the laptop will be refunded.
I bought a laptop from this site, I'm trying to return it for 3 weeks, but they do not help at all. When I contact customer service, they say that the shipping date is set to receive the product and they will come on this date, but no one comes. I have never even opened the product. As a result, I could neither return the product nor get my money back.

Placed an order for a laptop that was in stock, supposed to be delivered in 3-5 days. After a few days of not hearing anything I contact them. I am told the laptop was actually out of stock(still showed in stock as I chatted) but was assured there were 120 arriving in 3 days. So I waited again, when nothing happened I checked my account again. My delivery date had been pushed back a whole week. I contact them again and find out they still don't have the laptops in. So have to call to change my order to a different laptop, more expensive laptop, but was told I would have it in 3-5 days after it shipped out. I tried to check the tracking number and it comes back invalid. I contact them again and an told the laptop would be delivered in 14 days. I am very upset and ask to contact a supervisor and the agent disconnects me. I get an email later promising me I will be contacted within 2 hours...no one ever called. What a trainwreck of a company.
Recently bought a Robotic vacuum cleaner; from the initial plug-in it wouldn't charge. Contacted Laptops Direct CS & they said it could be battery problem & sent new battery same day. Worked immediately I put in new battery but put on charger again and didn't work from then again. Contacted Company again and they have sent label for return, organised collection next day and will resend item following day. Also told me to remove the new battery and keep it for future use. Have bought several laptops - reconditioned from this company previously, ALL in superb condition (they give you options of what condition you want ranging from fair but maybe scratched, to as new) and a motorised scooter. All have been well worth the cost which has been very competetive
