We had a very disappointing experience with the refund process.
Our dad moved into a nursing home in March 2026, so we returned the equipment right away. Medical Alert confirmed they received the equipment in early April. We were told there would be a 30-day waiting period before the refund could be processed.
It is now mid-May, and we still have not received any refund.
We paid for a full year of service in October 2025, but the service has not been used since March 2026. We have already called six times regarding this matter, yet there has been no resolution.
We cannot fully comment on the quality of the monitoring service itself, but the refund process has been extremely slow and frustrating. Consumers should be aware of this issue before signing up.

I purchased a medical alert device for my 85 yr old mother a few weeks ago and the device already stopped working. They called my mother and told her to wipe it and clean it and put back on charger. This did not work. Instead of them calling one of her 3 sons who are listed on account including me who has account in my name and pays for it they only call my 85 yr old mother. After my mother told me the next day that it was not working I called and spoke to a I lady name Irene to let her know I need a new device shipped out overnight immediately. She said she would call my mother first and she told my mother it would be 8 to 10 days. I called back and asked for a Supervisor by the name of Nicole Williams who was very rude and not helpful at all. She told me shipping was closed for the day and ther could not ship until Monday. Today is friday. So mother would get on Wed. I then called back to verify with complain to customer service that this was not acceptable as my mother has fallen several times and that is why purchased device. A device that stopped working less then 3 weeks. They then offered to credit a month of payment. That is not the point. I could have chosen several other companies and I chose medical alert and this company is very incompetent and product is faulty and customer service is very poor. Do NOT choose this company to protect your love ones.

I cancelled this service and was told I had several weeks to return the equipment, which I did within the timeframe provided. Unfortunately, the company took several additional weeks to process the return and continued charging my account after cancellation.
When I contacted customer service to resolve the issue, I was unable to get meaningful help. Instead, they went around me and sent threatening collection letters to my 90-year-old father and his wife.
In my experience, this is an expensive service with poor customer support and frustrating billing practices. No one seems willing to take responsibility or provide a fair solution. I would strongly encourage others to carefully review the cancellation and return policies before signing up.

your Services failed on me the day that I needed it you weren’t there and that was Saturday evening on the 11th of April. You checked my system out and it was OK and it was on your end that it failed.

Being there just in case I need your help was shown through a test by accident on a testing of alert it accidentally called my daughter in less than 2 minutes. I was able to let her know that I was okay
