I accidently set off the "fall" alarm which was a false alarm. I was not able to cancell the alarm fast enough and got messages that they were answering other calls. After many messages I was disconnected, however about a minute later they called me and my call was cancelled.

This service has saved my life many times. Once during a major snow and ice storm, I fell in the garage and was unable to get up. Your service notified emergency services who came and helped me up and treated my injuries. If I had not had this service I would have froze to death.

I kept having to recharge the medical alert bracelet and the company overcharged me for this device so I’m going to get another company right now. I would definitely like to please get my $232.00 back now. This is a ripoff now.

My mom fell twice in two months, and she immediately had a small group to help her up! She is an independent person and enjoys being in her house at 87 with the security of knowing the Medical Alert team is always ready to help!!!

I'm in a place that doesn't pick up a signal for when I fall. I'm really sorry, but I have to send the equipment back. Keeping healthy is my goal now.

I’ve had problems with my Medical Alert device since I became a member at least two (maybe longer) years ago. I’ve had customer service check it many times. They do some work on it and reboot it, and the fall detection works for a while. In the last three days it had to be rebooted several time. I need the fall detection. Today I was given a credit of $10 for this month for no fall detection. I wasn’t given any for the many other times. I am homebound and live alone. I need a device that I can count on with the fall detection desperately.

Crappy: while stationed ON the charger it kept alerting me that it needed recharging at 6 a.m.
How am I supposed to sleep through that?????

I haven't had to use my medical alert in several years; I am glad that Medical Alert reminds me to test my unit when I fail to do so regularly. When I did use it some years ago, it worked perfectly.

I signed my elderly mother up with Medical Alert, and she used the pendant system for three years. I have no complaints about their technology nor the service reps we interacted with to update or test the system.
However, we had a horrible experience terminating service five months ago when we moved my mom to an assisted living center and she no longer needed this service. I called Medical Alert, and they emailed me a prepaid mailing label. I packed up the equipment and dropped it at the post office within two days on July 29th.
On October 29th, Med Alert charged my mother's American Express card $539.40 for another year of service, and now-- two months later on December 23rd-- I still cannot get them to issue a refund after calling them at least 3 or 4 times. They keep assuring me that the 'finance department' will issue a refund, but insist that I allow them 30 days from whenever I call.
The reps are polite and seem to be trying to help, but either the billing department is grossly incompetent or else this is a criminal organization. The fact that nearly five months has gone by since I've returned their equipment should speak for itself. I strongly urge anyone contemplating doing business with Connect America Medical Alert to consider other options. Caveat Emptor!

This device was helpful in allowing my dad to stay in his house, alone, longer.
However, even tho the device was hooked to high speed Internet, it didn’t show us his location quickly, in real time.
