Ruined my iphone camera when replacing glass

Just remember before you hand your phone in, if they break something during the repair, they won't take responsibility!

There was a crack in my camera lens (although it did not affect quality) and I asked to get the glass replaced, which they said they could do. Once they replaced the glass, the camera is now unusable - extremely blurry, can't focus on any object, and every light source has glare. Its like someone fogged up the inside of the lens, or smeared it with vaseline. With strong lighting, I can actually see streaks on the lens itself.

I contacted support who told me I should have EXPECTED that my new iphone should have a camera quality this bad after repair. They then tried to imply that i actually had camera damage, which I didn't as I took pictures just fine MINUTES before giving the phone away for repair.

I am not sure if they just used subpar glass on the lens (Their site mentions they use 90% quality compared to Apple original - this is more like 1%), or if they messed up during the repair. I can see what looks like laser burn or scratches behind the lens glass, which might be caused by their machine.

Regardless, they were not careful or skilled enough for this task, and I was offered zero compensation or refund. My phone is now with Apple, pending a proper diagnosis and repair. Other 3rd party repair shops I went to all agreed that this was a shobby job. Think twice if you value your phone!

Getting my phone jack fixed

Went to pair mobile to get my phone jack fixed. Was done in a matter of seconds with quick, effective service provided. The staff there are kind and attentive and would recommend to anyone who has a problem with their phone!!

honestly jsut annoyed at this service

honestly jsut annoyed at this service , I was waiting about 10 mins before someone decided to come over and assist me and then further more they gave me the wrong change back . I find it funny that all I was looking for was a simple phone case at the end of the day . The worker didn’t seem to have much care at all for her customers at all . This was the Liffey Valley stand by the way .

Faulty phone will not be repaired under warranty

I purchased a phone in Pair in August. Since I got it, the camera has only worked intermittently. I brought it back a few times but the problem was not resolved. I brought it in before Christmas and was told to come back in January as there was no technician available. So I brought it back today and was told that it would not be fixed under warranty as there was a minute chip on the back - seriously, you would need a microscope to see it and it was probably done during one of the previous repair attempts. The phone has never fallen and had a protective case on it since I got it. I will not pay for a faulty phone to be repaired when it is still under warranty and needless to say, I will never go back to Pair again

Disappointing

I'm not gonna lie but I had high hopes for this service but it left a lot to be desired.
I've never left a bad review before but o really wasn't happy from the time I walked in til the I left the store.
I walked in and joined the que, which was to be expected, it was Christmas eve. The girl that was at the counter when I walked up was friendly enough. However she struggled to understand when I told her I'd paid for the service in advance online. When it eventually clicked she couldn't find the transaction. All of a sudden she told me she'd be back in a couple of mins and off she went to go get changed for her colleague who needed it for a customer he was serving. When she arrived back, she was busy dealing with some other customer. So while I was standing there waiting for her to finish dealing with me she continued to get the products the other customer wanted and complete his transaction. She then spoke to a colleague and asked if he knew where the woman she'd been dealing with was.
....I was standing in front of her, which I told her. I was then passed over to that other colleague, who again, had great difficulty finding the transaction. He just walked away without saying anything and left me standing there. Finally the girl came back, eventually found the transaction, took my details and confirmed they had the correct part for my phone. I was told it would take about 45 mins.
1hr15mins later I went back to get my phone and was served by a different member of staff. He retrieved my phone, read the receipt and proceeded push the card machine towards me pay. I explained I'd already paid online and showed him my email. Again there was a struggle to find the transaction on their system, he eventually told me'you can just go' and handed me my phone and was quite reluctant to give me a receipt when asked for it.
I found this to be an extremely unpleasant experience. Customer service was non existent. It's system was very disorganised. Why provide an online system to pay for a service in advance of it's not so easy to manage/find in store?
Being left at the counter mid service for the staff member to run around after another staff member was highly unsatisfactory as it was but to then serve someone else before finishing dealing with me was extremely unprofessional. I understand it was a busy time, but the shop itself wasn't busy. There's just no excuse for the poor service I received in store. It may not be like that all of the time bit I don't think I'd be rushing back there again.
