Wrongly issued with a parking ticket by PCM
I was wrongly issued with a parking violation ticket for a location that PCM manage. PCM sent me a pin and access code on the ticket, they obtained my name and address from DVLA. The camera at the location misread the number plate... wrongly giving my number plate instead of the transgressors number plate. PCM obviously do not carry out any cross referencing checks on the information they get back from DVLA and the Information provided from their cameras. The incorrectly parked vehicle was a Ford White Van, my vehicle is a Blue MG3. What gets me is that I had to do all the running around and send the V5 to PCM to sort their error out, by apealing their ticket on their system, a ticket that had absolutely nothing to do with me, calling them was absolutely useless. It is high time that these errant, so called parking management companies got sorted out, my next letter is to the ICO for the mismanagement of my personal information by PCM.

I parked in a cinema car park at Park Royal Leisure centre and I was there watching 2 films in the cinema.
I parked the car when I got in and then moved out to go back in a watch a second one.
I got fined £100 after appealing it, all quite unfairly as I was watching films on the grounds and also moved out of the space to park again when I decided to watch another film. I had gone over their limit of 7 hours by 2 hours. I wrote to them and they explained the following.
1. Your signs with limits are all over 6ft up - I am 5ft and 1 inches - NOT VERY INCLUSIVE - they said the signs are sufficient.
2. The sign has small print and 6ft in the air I have no idea who can read them. NOT VERY INCLUSIVE- they said the signs are sufficient.
3. They are supposed to have a 'parking booth' there is nothing of that sort. - no one was there to speak to.
4. They say they have 75 signs - I wonder where they are? They are too high up to read - NOT VERY INCLUSIVE - they DO NOT have 75 signs up - they are lying.
5. The reply was rude to my appeal and not matter of fact but shouty. - they did not look at all the reasons why they rejected my appeal, just stuck to one thing and did not respond to my questions on inclusion.
6. The proof of my car isn't even the car park, but random roads around the car park.
Their phone clerks are awful and their correspondence was horrific.
My experience left me absolutely astounded how they have dealt with the appeal.
They are just money making and just shoddy.
I paid the £100 as the threat at the end of the letter - that they will get a collector or some means to get thier £100.
Please be aware of these private car parks, as this was a horrid experience.
PCM Slough SL1 2XF
The car was stolen on August 2nd in the yearly morning, I got the fine for the car on the same day it was stolen in the afternoon.
I contacted them with the crime reference and they said that they needed a letter from the Police or insurance when they must know that all is done this day by email to reduce the pollution.
On the letter I just got today, exactly 14 days after. The letter is dated 25/09/2024 and today is 09/10/2024. How can a letter take 14 days to reach a destination in the UK?
I will call them tomorrow and if they provide me with an email address I will forward my evidence if not I will tell them to take me to court.
NO DEBT RECOVERY can get anything without a court sentence.
Love to target residents
Love to target residents, especially after their offices are shut , at 3pm they must be raking it in from all the contracts with social housing, who always choose the cheapest, , who in turn employ the ignorant. What type of person works for them , probably family all inter related .
PCM Parking Illegal resident clamping operations
I was issued a £130 fine for parking in my own resident spot! When I informed them they agreed to a £20 fine. The car park has had no lighting for over a year! Cant even see the car out of window on a dark night. I told them I would consider paying when it was fixed & they cancelled the PCN. The phone operators are specifically rude! Andrew O was very unhelpful when my car was ILLEGALLY CLAMPED this year too! Everyday I watch the same car parking without a permit! Now I understand why residents are ILLEGALLY CLAMPING CARS IN PCM CAR PARKS! Terrible customer service!
Would rather not award a star
Would rather not award a star. An over 55’s complex with most residents over 70 years old have been issued with a ‘letter’ to ask all residents to give their registration details to obtain a parking permit; (2023).
PCM have decided All residents are charged £20 to renew this permit annually.
This was not in our contract, parking was first come first served although we were issued a permit FREE OF CHARGE.
PCM are shamefully taking money from pensioners and older people with health issues.
Read your rights, you do not have to pay ‘private car park companies’
Just stop PCM from benefiting from vulnerable people unfairly.
I parked in a space outside my local…
I parked in a space outside my local budgens in Erith. There is 30 mins free. I always go on the pcm website enter the code and my details and ALWAYS put my email in to get a receipt to show that I actually registered for the free 30 mins. Today I get a parking ticket with the time of 18:11. My receipt shows that i registered at 18:11. These clowns just wait for people to pull up and not give them a chance to register for the free parking hoping 1 you either do it really slow or 2 you don’t enter your email but luckily for me I beat you on your sly tactics. Come on please take me to court. Bunch of pathetic scum bags.
Opt your private space out of their system
I was issued a fine for parking in my own space, which I own, because I didn’t have a valid pass although I had opted my space out of the scheme as they bring no benefit to enforcing my space, only hassle. They didn’t process my request and blamed this on me because they had asked me to confirm I wanted to opt out, which I didn’t because I didn’t receive that email but I had explicitly told them I wanted to opt out. Because they don’t want to loose money they have refused to admit it was their fault or take any blame in this situation. Their attitude is unfeeling, rude and disrespectful. I would always suggest opting out your space as they shouldn’t be allowed to make money from it when they offer terrible service and give tickets for invalid reasons.
Fraudulent activity stopped by my bank

No point commenting really as it seems they don't even recognise Trustpilot. They lost my Blue Card details and now issue me with a fine each time I visit the hospital. All I get is a preformatted reply when I appeal.

I have had 4 tickets in the last two weeks outside my home in car park . I have a valid permit which I was told by my council it’s all done virtually now and these private company’s have no right to give tickets .
I appealed tickets sending them my active permit and they have declined my appeal . Absolutely ridiculous already paying £120 per year to park outside my own home without having to sort this each week
Worth taking them to court
Worth taking them to court, judge is so against them. Have appealed several of their very dubious tickets and successful on every occasion. Worse case you pay the fine, but they incur huge costs. Deserve everything they get.

The appeals are pointless because they just reply with a template. They dont suspend the fine whilst you appeal. This is because they control the company IAS , who are the company you can appeal to. How do i know?
The letter from PCM saying my fine had gone up because my appeal failed was sent the day before i received an email from IAS saying my appeal failed.
I had two different tickets and the response from IAS ( who are controlled by the solicitors of PCM) was exactly the same for both.
Shame on our politicians for allowing these vultures to fleeces us and skim over a £Billion per year whilst we go through a cost of living crisis.
They were exposed by Watchdog, but being shameless, they just continue their nefarious practices.

I lost a family member and I had to get her death certificate into the bank cos the funeral director needed payment 48 hours before the funeral and it was a Friday. I explained this to them in an email and I had the highway book thrown at me. Tamping. I paid the fine. They get u wherever you are. Even outside schools now and everyone knows how hard it is to park outside them. It’s pure money making
Wrongful issue of parking ticket and can’t appeal or reach anyone to complain
Issued a parking ticket for parking over 24hours in a visitors bay - which we did not. We have evidence of parking at several different places placing us at the car park in question by 6:20pm and was issued a ticket at 3am the following morning. That is clearly not 24hours. Absolute scam of a company who make their appeals longer than the fine increase, impossible to reach through any kind of customer service. It is plainly frustrating that such a company exists.

I question the ethics of PCM as a whole, which seem to think by putting news flashes on its home page of county court judgements won, probably as a mean to frighten and deter people from following up with an appeal, abhorrant. The original PCNs are sent in a very small font which require magnification and contains little information i.e. postcode, other evidence. The only thing that is in a large clear font is the payment process. Shame on our country on allowing parasitical companies as such to exist
