This company is outstanding and l would recommend anyone to give them a call or online before you renew with your existing insurer. I could not believe how reasonable my quote was, being an oap with a high performance car l truly expected a much higher price.

Good communication; reasonable premium based on other companies.

Renewal price was similar to other quotes, renewing process was easy, haven’t had to make a claim yet so can’t comment on that side of it. The only negative was the ‘broker fee’, I don’t really know why you have to pay it?

Terrible experience. Arranged motorcycle cover over the web . Found out no claims bonus can’t be used if it has any break in it . Contact is a robot or an awfully long wait . Eventually got to speak to a human . Quote without no claims bonus was massively high so cancelled after 3 days . Charged £55 broker fee plus time insured . Never again !!!

Why would I wish to give details you have my record of trying to get insurance through you . The next insurance company happily accepted my no claims proof from performance direct . And I was very happy to talk to a real human and get through straight away . Whoever rejected my no claims bonus proof should be sacked for losing you business. There’s always a reason why things are cheaper . Yes a robot response . Never again !!

Found this firm as a result of a gocompare search for car insurance, they came out as by a couple of pounds as the best price. I went ahead and purchased the insurance, only to realise the next day it was what they call Classic car insurance, which wasn't made clear at any stage either by go compare or on the firm's website when i clicked through to pay.
The significant part of this is that the insured is not insured to drive any other vehicles, as is normal on most other insurances we have ever had, the insured could usually drive a car not hired to them etc with third party cover, that is not the case with the policy from Performance Direct their classic insurance only covered driving another car if it was a hire car provided by them as a result of an accident claim they were dealing with.
Just a point to bear in mind, and another thing we are still a couple of weeks of the insurance date actually commencing, so normally in a cooling off period, able to cancel without penalty, but this firm Performance Direct are different again, to cancel with them, even in the normal pre inception cooling off period costs £55. The limitation on driving other cars may not bother you but just mentioning in case it does as it was not what I normally expected, also re the cooling off period.
Update thank you. Does the fact it's (unexpectedly and not asked for ) a Classic car policy have an effect on the No Claims Bonus

They offered the best value, however you never know how good an insurance firm is until you need to claim!
So far, so good

Received renewal notice for my caravan insurance and surprisingly it was a lower cost than last year for the same cover. It was easy to navigate the Web site and renew my insurance which was followed up by good communication confirming my renewal. I've not had reason to put in a claim so cannot say how well they would deal with it.
